Strandhotels in Xiamen

I love IHG hotels and would usually choose to stay with them around the world if possible. And choose to stay at intercontinental Xiamen( in a CBD area) even though the location is far from tourist area I didn’t mind traveling a bit but I don’t think I would choose to stay here again. As the hotel didn’t feel up to standard for ihg group . There was a lot of wear and tear on the wall and the washroom. The cleanness of the rooms was not up to standard I found hair and dust / particles in the washroom table. They cleaned it up right after telling front desk but received a call saying it was the marble cracked which was clearly excuse . After returning the little dust particles were still there. Bathtub was definitely not scrubbed down . Felt a layer of residue or something when touched . Lots of dirt or dust or wall chipping or whatever particle it was on the corner of washroom table. And dusts in the corners . The breakfast was very Mediocre for ihg . Even though there was a variety of selections the taste was not there. Cooked food look like it sat there for awhile. The noodle bar was good tho with choice satay or clear soup and the freshly cooked wonton was tasty. I didn’t like how some things weren’t filled up just because it was 15min to closing. I do like how they provide kids with sand bucket tools to play at the beach . Overall it was still a pretty pleasant stay but I would not choose this ihg branch next time .

Ik ben tijdens mijn verblijf een aantal vervelende dingen tegengekomen en wilde een negatieve beoordeling achterlaten, maar de tijdige vervolgservice en communicatie van dienstdoend manager Ruby gaven mij het gevoel dat het management- en serviceniveau van de frontofficeafdeling echt goed is, wat veranderde mijn mening over dit Hualuxe hotel. Toen we 's ochtends gingen ontbijten, zou de kamer vol moeten zijn, met als gevolg onvoldoende personeel en niet in staat om de service bij te houden. Maar Xiao Yan in het restaurant heeft een zeer goede service en is zeer attent. Su Fangchun, de oudste zus van de noedelkraam, is erg geduldig. Een groep mensen wilde noedels, en ze maakte zelf meer dan tien kommen noedels spoor van ongeduld, ik kon het niet verdragen om naamsbekendheid te vragen. Het uitzicht op zee van het hotel is echt goed, en de faciliteiten zijn goed onderhouden. Ik heb in verschillende Hualux verbleven en deze heeft een goed ontbijt.

Spectacular, everything was amazing, unique experience, spectacular view, huge room but the island view was special. Words cannot describe it's pointless to write. Unique view in the whole world and I have seen quite a few views but this one is far the best. Not crowded, winter time, off season, feeling is like in a movie Hot tub, coffee maker with capsules, walk in wardrobe, huge bathroom, warm toilet seat Cannot recommend enough the experience of staying there And evening the lights from the other twin tower are something else. Just make sure you take photos before 10pm because then they turn them off.

Nice location and nice service, I received a free room upgrade. They told me I booked a room without a window and took me to a better room with a terrace balcony. The breakfast was so cute, shaped like a chinese man. It was my first hotel and my first breakfast in China, so very good experience!

In the end, the hotel provided me a dessert that I originally should have given me, and I felt a little better. ---♡♡♡ A hotel that keeps saying it can't be done. Since the lounge was under construction, I heard that lounge benefits were available at the cafe on the first floor, so I made a reservation. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told number 3 that they couldn't do anything because the lounge was under construction. They gave me the key and told me I could go up, so I asked them if they had forgotten anything, and they answered no. When I showed them the hotel reservation conditions, they gave me a name tag and two snacks as a special gift. In the end, I went out to eat, and when I asked again, it turned out that I had given the wrong answer. They say they can give you cake, fruit, and coffee just within three hours. I'm full, but it's amazing. The weather was 30 degrees and the swimming pool was under construction so I couldn't use it.

Dit was mijn eerste verblijf in het Millennium Xiamen Hotel en ik was zeer tevreden. Het is een gerenommeerd vijfsterrenhotel en de service en faciliteiten gaven me een veilig en attent gevoel. De locatie is superhandig, direct boven metrostation Zhenhai Road; de lobby ligt pal naast de metro-uitgang, waardoor je je heel gemakkelijk kunt verplaatsen. Zhonghua City ligt aan de overkant van de straat en biedt tal van winkels en restaurants. De receptie heeft mijn kamer gratis geüpgraded naar een kamer met zeezicht en ik kreeg zelfs een cadeautje – het hotel was zo attent! Het ligt ook vlakbij de pier, wat veel tijd bespaart als je naar Gulangyu Island gaat. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

We zijn met mijn ouders overgestapt van het Andaz naar het Swissôtel. Mijn ouders vonden dat het Swissôtel veel uitgebreidere faciliteiten had, inclusief een sauna bij het zwembad. Het water was op de juiste temperatuur en het zwembad was groot genoeg. Ik wil vooral het ontbijt in het Xin Nan Xuan op de derde verdieping van het hotel prijzen; de kwaliteit was zelfs beter dan de meeste dim sum in Guangdong. Er was 's nachts een vervelend incident op de parkeerplaats tijdens ons verblijf, maar gelukkig heeft het hotel ons tijdig geïnformeerd, zodat onze plannen voor de volgende dag niet werden beïnvloed. De hygiëne van het hotel was niet zo slecht als in sommige recensies vermeld; voor een hotel dat al vele jaren open is, waren de staat van de kamers en de hygiëne uitstekend.

Truly a fabulous, luxurious and excellent hotel resort with the coastal and sea views that makes the stay very invigorating and enjoyable. Service staff, hotel guests’ requests were aptly attended to and met. This is definitely a nice getaway stay amidst leisure travel to Xiamen city.

Wow....value for money hotel, with the good location. The ferry going to gullangyu island is in front this hotel. And you can walk arround near the hotel. Many street food and fashion boutiqe. I am very happy stay at this hotel. Next time go to Xiamen willing to stay at this hotel again.

Okay, but much better options exist if you have the money and book in advance. First of all, its a separate class of hotel situated within the very same Marriot (which is higher end), so consider this a class below the actual Marriot. The exit is separate, and leads mostly to nowhere, and you will most likely enter the real Marriot part of the building at first, but thankfully staff knows this is a common mistake and leads you through a small hallway of about 200m to the other reception where you will be greeted by just as professional staff. They don't include any toiletries but will deliver them swiftly to the room door if you need any, I guess its ecological, in their mind, but practically..ultimately pointless and saves no one's time and energy. The room itself is a bit of a step down from regular 4* chain hotels - the size, the leather on the furniture is torn and worn a bit, and it shows its age and class. There are similarly priced competitors within the same 1-2km range, who do a much better job, plus better view, for a few bucks more. It should be priced a bit lower in order to be a good deal and vibe for the money. Ultimately an okay hotel, no one will be disappointed, but the value to me just isn't there, and the real Marriot is in the same building, but you are getting the cheaper version of it, watered down.
