Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice. The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece. Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.

Niet in het centrum van Cusco, maar dicht genoeg, 5-10mins aan het hoofdkwartier. we verliet onze bagage in het hotel toen we naar Machu Picchu gingen en toen we terug kwamen, wachtten we al op ons in onze gereserveerde kamer. fatsoenlijke grootte bed/kamer, badkamer maar klein en de ventilator is koud in de winter als het direct aan de douche/ton. Maar in het algemeen goed service. ontbijt was ook fatsoenlijk, hoewel ze niet goed bemand in het restaurant lijken

Highly recommended, I’d definitely stay here again Location is unbeatable: just a 3‑minute walk to Plaza de Armas, perfect for exploring the city on foot. Rooms are comfortable and clean, with a cosy bed and a heater available at all times. No TV in my room but honestly, with everything nearby, you won’t miss it 😄 Extremely helpful staff, genuinely some of the most supportive I’ve ever encountered. They were incredibly accommodating and even helped me multiple times late at night when Rappi wasn’t working and I needed to order food. If you have early tours (4:00, 5:00, 6:00 AM), just let them know in advance — they’ll happily prepare your breakfast earlier for you, which I really appreciated. They also decorated our room exactly as requested, which made our stay even more special.

If you stay at this hotel, absolutely make sure you don't get a room with an interior-facing window (one that doesn't connect to the outside). Otherwise, it will be incredibly stuffy, making it impossible to breathe properly and sleep. Don't even count on the air conditioning; it's completely broken. Before, I closed the interior window because I was afraid of noise, but I couldn't sleep at all and found myself struggling to breathe. Only after opening the interior window did a little air come in, and I was able to manage some sleep. The soundproofing of the door isn't great. During breakfast hours, they play music, and you can hear it clearly through the door. The interior-facing windows are directly above the breakfast area. See the picture. Another very unpleasant thing happened: I returned to the hotel at 10:40 PM and found the main entrance locked, all doors were locked. I frantically knocked on the main door. Luckily, there was still a guy at the front desk on duty, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to get back in. I've included a picture to prove this point. The front desk staff's English is just so-so. Also, I was mistaken for Japanese again and given a registration slip in Japanese. I asked if they had slips in other languages, and they said yes. But even after seeing my passport, they still gave me the Japanese one. I don't even know what to say. Then they were all smiley and playful, I don't know if they were joking with me or what. Anyway, I can read Japanese, and it was all Chinese characters, so I just filled it out. The breakfast was just okay. All these *** Western country breakfasts are pretty much the same; only a few dishes offer some variety or are particularly tasty. The best thing at this hotel's breakfast was the ham. About a 30-second walk from the hotel, there's an intersection with a lot of trash and many stray dogs eating from it. Since there are many tourists, these stray dogs are used to seeing them and generally won't bother you. However, for safety, I still kept my distance from them.

This is an amazing hotel with friendly and accommodating staff! The views from the front are unreal also, and the rooms very big and cleaned everyday to a high standard! Would definitely recommend. The staff also made us lunch when we had early morning trips!

L’appartamento è nuovissimo e super accogliente. È arredato bene ed è anche molto accessoriato: ha tutto il necessario per cucinare, ottima lavatrice-asciugatrice, asciugacapelli, riscaldamento portatile, ecc. È a circa 10 minuti a piedi dal centro in un edificio moderno ben isolato. Dopo un’iniziale incertezza, la comunicazione a distanza ha funzionato bene. Siamo stati così bene che abbiamo prolungato di due notti!

My experience at Andean Dreams Hotel was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The highlight was definitely the staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and stress-free. They kindly allowed me to store my large luggage at the hotel while I traveled to Machu Picchu, which was such a huge help and truly appreciated. The cozy atmosphere was made even better by their thoughtful touch of offering tea available all day — perfect for keeping warm after long days exploring the Andes. It felt like a little home away from home. If you want a place with genuine kindness, helpful service, and cozy comforts in a beautiful setting, Andean Dreams is the perfect choice. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region!
