Hotels in Solidaridad met balcony

"Our stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach."

"Het hotel is prachtig gelegen in het hart van Playa del Carmen. Het personeel is vriendelijk en beleefd, waardoor je je welkom voelt. Er zijn verschillende restaurants en een ruime keuze aan drankjes en eten. Helaas is de omgeving niet veilig: mijn tas is gestolen en we waren ook getuige van een ernstig auto-ongeluk met dodelijke afloop. Het hotel zelf is geweldig, maar vanwege de veiligheidsrisico's zou ik niet terugkeren naar Cancun/Playa del Carmen."

"Dit hotel is perfect gelegen, op een steenworp afstand van de hoofdstraat. Je hoort de muziek van de nabijgelegen bars, maar dat stoorde me niet, dat is te verwachten op een locatie als deze. Bij het inchecken krijg je een afstandsbediening voor de tv en wordt je verteld de thermostaat niet te verplaatsen. De airconditioning stond zo ingesteld dat hij de hele nacht aanstond en had geen automatische functie, waardoor het 's nachts extreem koud was. De reden dat ik mijn beoordeling heb verlaagd, is de klantenservice. Je krijgt maar twee handdoeken en er waren helemaal geen handdoeken. Ik heb de receptie geprobeerd te bellen, maar de zes keer dat ik belde, nam niemand op. Ik moest er zelf een halen, waar ik er een moest afgeven. Geen probleem. De volgende dag heeft de schoonmaakdienst deze handdoek echter ingenomen en nooit vervangen. Ik hoop dat ik niet hoef te betalen voor een kleine handdoek."

"Service bij de receptie/lobby is fantastisch, behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ook bij het zwembad probeert het personeel zijn best te doen, omdat er zoveel mensen bestellen en ik denk dat ze meer personeel nodig hebben om iedereen te bedienen. Echter, bij het restaurant 'La cocina' voor ontbijt en diner in het sushirestaurant: service was vrij traag, zelfs sommige gerechten waren vergeten en we hadden geannuleerd, sommige gerechten kwamen koud aan — moet de tafelservice verbeteren. Ik vond het niet leuk dat de meeste wekelijkse activiteiten extra geld nodig hadden. Moet een goede strandplek hebben om langs te wandelen. Is leuk, ze hebben een arcade voor extra entertainment."

"Scarlett Arte is al een zeer bekende plek onder Koreanen. Ook in het hotel kwam ik veel Koreanen tegen. Dat betekent dat het een goed hotel is. Er waren zoveel activiteiten dat ik niet doorhad hoe snel de tijd ging. Omdat ik echter maar kort in het hotel verbleef, had ik niet veel tijd om van de sfeer in het hotel te genieten. Toch heb ik me af en toe vermaakt bij het zwembad op het dak en het hoofdzwembad. Overal in het hotel waren fotoplekken, dus ik heb ze ijverig onderzocht. Ik kwam terug met echt goede herinneringen"

"It was AMAZING! I had such a great time there! The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. I made sure to eat and drink as much as possible, I think I ate too much! There is only a buffet breakfast and lunch and dinner at the restaurants. It's à la carte (if you paid for the package) and you can order as much food as you want. Mexican food for lunch and Italian or Mexican food for dinner (you have to book for dinner). I also love that the rooftop bar has unlimited great food for the whole day. The pool area was nice and so was the furniture. My room was huge and very spacious, I did not have the best view which didn't matter because I was upstairs on the rooftop for most of the time. They also stock the room fridge with soft drinks and beer which are unlimited. Each floor has a water cooler machine and an ice machine which was great when it came to refilling my water bottles. I think it's a great idea instead of the single use water bottles. I highly recommend staying here, my only regret was not staying here longer. I will be back in the future! "
