"Very good intramuros location for visiting Avignon. Very beautiful building located 4 minutes walk from Avignon Center train station and 11 minutes walk from the Palais des Papes. Good bedding. Welcome swimming pool. We changed rooms 3 times, air conditioning breakdown at 35°...too many stairs. Bathrooms much too small with bathtub even in upgraded rooms. Faded paintwork in the rooms. No one at the bar during our week-long stay. Elevators often broken down. Lack of attention to outdated personal breakfast. I think this hotel deserves 3*** and not 4**** as indicated."

"Het hotel is ronduit slecht, absoluut niet geschikt voor een viersterrenhotel. De gang en de kamer ruiken vreemd (goedkope parfum en goedkope zeep), de geur is erg sterk, het tapijt is erg oud, de lakens zijn erg slordig en de kamerfaciliteiten zijn eenvoudig. Er is maar één persoon aan de receptie, en ze blijft maar bellen. Ze zei niets toen ze me zag, alsof ze het niet zag. Het telefoongesprek duurde lang, en toen bleken er gasten te zijn in de kamer die ik de eerste keer had gekregen, dus ik moest naar beneden om haar te vinden en van kamer te wisselen. De verbinding tussen de liftverdieping en de buitenverdieping is erg ongelijkmatig, en de bagage moet in en uit de lift worden getild. Kortom, de algehele faciliteiten en diensten van het hotel zijn ronduit slecht. Ik heb uitgecheckt en het hotel verlaten nadat ik de kamer had gezien. Dit soort hotel is echt onacceptabel. Het hotel ontweek de vraag en zei dat de manager vrij was en het geld niet zou terugbetalen, dus ik ben zonder aarzelen vertrokken. Later verbleef ik in het Mirande Hotel, een vijfsterrenhotel dat meer dan 7000 yuan per nacht kost. Het is een zeer uniek hotel met een goede ligging. Een verblijf is een aanrader."

"The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave us a nice tour of the property upon arrival. Although we only stayed for one night and didn’t get a chance to use the facilities—such as the movie room, co-working space, and gym—the studio was spacious, air-conditioned, and came with free parking. It’s a convenient base for exploring the charming small towns surrounding Avignon. Just a heads-up: the shower area is completely open to the rest of the room, which might not suit everyone’s preferences."

We stayed in the Naples Room and it was simply luxurious. The morning breakfast that was offered was fresh and varietal. The Staff was warm and ever so friendly. The Gardens were amazing. It was the perfect place to stay."

"PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS PROPERTY I stayed at this property for two nights and, unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. First, I was given a room of a lower category than the one I had booked. To make matters worse, the room had a strong unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which made it uncomfortable to stay there. To my surprise, the room had a waterbed — something I was never informed about when booking. Sleeping on it caused severe back pain, and I eventually had to get up in the middle of the night and sleep on the floor, as it was impossible to rest properly. The view from the window was also completely different from what I booked: instead of the promised view, I had a wall right outside the window. Another important thing to note: this is not actually a hotel. It is more like an Airbnb-style family-run guesthouse, where a family owns two houses and rents out rooms. The level of service is not what you would expect from a hotel, which was very disappointing. While the family running the place is polite and friendly, any issues related to payments or disputes are handled very poorly. After we decided to leave earlier due to these problems, they refused to refund us for the three unused nights — almost €1,000 — and ignored all our follow-up emails and their responds on our calls were very rude. Later, I discovered that they resold my room for those nights, effectively charging two different guests for the same booking, which feels deeply unfair. There is also no formal reception and breakfast, and the property is located behind high gates on a very narrow street, making access inconvenient. I genuinely don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews. While the owners are polite, the service, transparency, and fairness are far below hotel standards. Recommendation: If you decide to stay here, do not book for more than one night upfront. First, check the room, the bed type, the view, and the facilities before committing to a longer stay. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property."

"A small, run-down hotel that's supposed to be renovated this year (we hope). The room was old-fashioned, as was the shower. The restaurant and breakfast were decent. A major drawback was the pool, which was overrun by youths from the nearby housing projects. Insults and all sorts of rudeness made us not want to stay because we didn't feel safe (which is a shame). It was 39 degrees Celsius."
