Hot Springs hotels in Hainan, China

Hygiëne: De schoonmaak is redelijk goed, je kunt zien dat er elke dag schoongemaakt wordt. Als er vreemde voorwerpen in het zwembad aanwezig zijn, kunt u ook het winkelpersoneel bellen om het zwembad schoon te maken. Hoewel het diep in de bergen ligt, hopen zich in principe geen gevallen bladeren op de weg op. Omgeving: Om nog maar te zwijgen van de omgeving, het gevoel in de natuur te zijn is zeer ontspannend. Service: Ook de service is goed, met meet en greets, enthousiaste begeleiding bij het parkeren en het bellen van de pendelbus. Hotelfaciliteiten: Je kunt zien dat het hotel in het verleden glorieus is geweest, en het dubbellaagse overloopzwembad is ook zeer indrukwekkend. De inrichting van het interieur is echter inderdaad oud en sommige oude vervuilingen zijn erg moeilijk schoon te maken.

De service was uitstekend; ze hebben ons geholpen met het wisselen naar een meer geschikte kamer en het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam bij het oplossen van eventuele problemen. De temperatuur van de warmwaterbron was precies goed en we hebben er enorm van genoten. De locatie is fantastisch, waardoor je overal gemakkelijk naartoe kunt.

Wonderful hotel! We stayed in the Glacier Castle section of the hotel. Our room was a polar bear theme, which was a sea view room. When the tv comes on there is a welcome greeting saying our names. Enjoyed seeing the sun setting. Map of location of hotel on the island and map of hotel included here.  The breakfast buffet was amazing. A large variety of food for breakfast.  Ate supper at the supper buffet one night. Expensive for us, but had all types of food including the hot pot at our table. So yummy! The restaurant staff very nice! The hotel staff was friendly and probably a little shocked seeing Americans, but they smiled and greeted us. Pulled out the phone to translate when we checked in. We are used to doing that, too.😁 We received a welcome gift our first night, too.  If you are planning to visit the part of Hainan, we highly recommend The Castle Hotel!

Hotel facilities were overall great, their breakfast was better than their other meals. Overall hotel is not bad. The only issue is the hotel is on this island that does not allow blue plate cars (gas car) to go into the island. We had to park outside of the island and take a shuttle which was a bit annoying bringing our luggages and also going to our rental car.

De jongeman aan de deur was erg behulpzaam. Hij hielp met de bagage en stuurde deze naar de kamer. Hij hielp ook met het plaatsen van de bagage en het openen van de deur bij het weggaan. De inrichting van het hotel is zeer luxueus. Het tuinontwerp aan de achterkant is prachtig. Het ligt dicht bij de kust en het strand en het zeewater zijn erg goed. Hoe verder weg van de stad, het landschap is prachtig en er zal minder rook en vuur zijn.

My family of 4 members stayed for 2 nights in this hotel before we flew back home. It's location is alright for 35 mins to the Haikou International Airport. There is a hot spring at the swimming pool area and it closes late at night which is good . We can use the hot spring to relax after a day of activities out. However the only thing is the rooms given to us is not up to Marriott's standard. Our rooms, connecting 2 rooms, look a bit old , especially the flooring, the wall tiles in the bathrooms. They need some refurbishments. The bathroom of room 0916 has the problem of water flooding while showering. I think the water flowing out is very , very slow until it floods .This is quite annoying. Although we have informed the staff about this , nothing much have been done. It still flooded when we showered on the next day. Other than this, everything is ok.

Good location with many good food, supermarket and shopping centres nearby. Not satisfied with room because of cigarette smoke smell although stated no smoking room. Very satisfied with counter service especially to a staff named 'Chen Bin Chian' translated. Pls see attached staff name tag. She is very helpful during our 3 days' stay. I would give her a 5* star for her service. Thank you.

Weather in Haikou was a little gloomy, but Erin went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. She was readily available on WeChat to answer my queries and gave me good recommendations on how to best spend my time in Haikou. Overall the hotel was also comfortable, and I love that there is an indoor kids playground which my daughter had so much fun in, and also that it’s close to the beach! The buffet breakfast every morning also served up a good spread, but their international dinner buffet was the best!

Located on an isolated island with a good omen of “鳌”. Nice experience staying there with the remarkable views all around the island. The staff from the golf club were very rude not allowing visitors walk on the wooden walkway during the entire daytime for some bureaucratic and prerogative reasons which were non-transparent and unacceptable. The food and services were at average level comparing with others.

I booked three rooms and stayed at Mission Hills Resort for five nights, where we were served by the duty manager, Mary, throughout our stay. We were given a complimentary room upgrade, and Mary also helped ensure that our group was located near each other, making it much more convenient for us. I’m especially for her effort in helping us locate a farm around the resort and for reaching out proactively before the trip. She even shared her contacts and responded to some of my queries after office hours, which truly shows her dedication to her work. Although some parts of the resort are a bit dated and seemed to be undergoing maintenance, it didn’t really affect the overall experience. For the rooms It would be even better if a drawdown curtain or privacy screen could be added to the bathing area or toilet, making it more convenient for larger groups like mine. This resort is ideal for families with young kids or anyone looking for a great parent–child bonding (亲子游) experience. There’s a mini pet house with cute and lively animals where children can get up close and cozy with them. The Children’s Club — Squirrel Village offers a wide variety of daily activities for parent–child bonding. My kids especially enjoyed the activities led by the young and energetic team of hosts (可爱, 葡萄, 糖果, 西瓜, 猩猩, 鳄鱼, and others). They loved it so much that I gave up some of our original itinerary just to let them stay longer, and they’re still humming and reminiscing about the songs and moments from the club. If I travel to Haikou again, I would certainly return to Mission Hills and include a few more days at the Squirrel Club to spend quality time with my child. As mentioned in other reviews, we were also served a delicious pot of dessert every night — a thoughtful and warm gesture that added an extra special touch to our stay. Thank you, Mission Hills Resort, and especially Mary and her Squirrel team, for making our trip so memorable despite the aging facilities. The kids in our group truly had a wonderful and enjoyable time at the resort, and we’ll cherish these moments for a long time. If i am ever travelling back to Hai Kou for 亲子游, I would stay in Mission Hills purely for the Squirrel Children’s Club activities. Ps, the resort actually had some additional in-room items that could be loaned and i feel that it would be better if they could share ongoing promotions.
