Dit hotel in de woestijn zit vol verrassingen! De faciliteiten zijn zo compleet dat u er niets op aan te merken hebt en het verblijf is supercomfortabel en ontspannend. Er zijn zoveel leuke activiteiten dat er elke dag nieuwe bijkomen, zodat u zich niet zult vervelen. Het hotelontwerp is vol met lokale kenmerken, waardoor mensen zich voelen alsof ze in een historisch plaatje van Dunhuang zijn beland. De service is ook supergoed en het personeel is supervriendelijk en gastvrij. Het is prachtig om 's nachts de sterren in de woestijn te kunnen zien!

Gratis in- en uitstappen, handig parkeren, vriendelijke baas, je kunt de Melkweg zien, de openbare toiletten en doucheruimtes zijn ook erg schoon, er zijn veel ontbijtopties, meer dan 90% van de B&B's. Het enige spijtige is dat er geen airconditioning in de yurt is. Overdag moet je buiten spelen, maar dit heeft geen invloed op je slaap 's nachts.

Ik kan dit geweldige hotel van harte aanbevelen! Mijn verblijf was fantastisch! De service was onberispelijk; de receptionisten waren vriendelijk en geduldig, het inchecken verliep snel en ze gaven zelfs proactief tips over bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. De schoonmaak was nauwgezet; ze maakten de kamer dagelijks schoon en vulden de benodigdheden aan. Eventuele problemen die ik tegenkwam werden efficiënt en effectief opgelost door het personeel – een werkelijk hartverwarmende ervaring. De kamer was schoon, comfortabel, goed verlicht en geluiddicht, wat zorgde voor een goede nachtrust. De hygiëne was uitstekend, de faciliteiten waren compleet en het ontbijt was voedzaam en heerlijk. Van service en sfeer tot voorzieningen, alles verdient een vijfsterrenwaardering. De ervaring overtrof mijn verwachtingen ruimschoots en ik raad een verblijf hier ten zeerste aan!

Excellent location, 5 min taxi distance of Tianshuinan train station. Hotel staff, in particular the front desk gentleman was very helpful with planning our trip to Maijishan Grottoes. Room has Philips tv so we could connect our laptop with a HDMI cable and watch western movie. If you visit Maijishan, the taxi to the visitor center is ¥40, sometimes fixed fee ¥60, no more. It is 30 minutes from the hotel. At the visitor center you purchase tickets. We preordered them with the help of the front desk but it turned out that was not needed, there are enough tickets out of mayor high season. From the visitor center you take the bus to the grottoes. If you have time, purchase special tickets for private entrance to some of the more special grottoes. The regular visit takes appr 2 hours. The hotel has a washing area, very convenient and an excellent breakfast.

Dit was mijn eerste keer in Lanzhou en ik verbleef er vier nachten achter elkaar. Ik was zeer tevreden met het hotel dat ik had gekozen. Ten eerste is de locatie fantastisch, midden in Lanzhou Old Street. Alles wat je nodig hebt om te eten, drinken en je te vermaken is erg handig. Het Bamboo Slips Museum ligt aan de overkant van de straat en het is slechts 9 minuten rijden naar treinstation Lanzhou West. De receptioniste was ongelooflijk gastvrij. Ze gaf me gratis een upgrade naar een kamer om sterren te kijken, hoewel het weer niet geweldig was en ik die paar dagen geen sterren heb gezien. Ze vroeg zelfs proactief naar mijn kenteken en parkeren was gratis. Er waren voldoende parkeerplaatsen en dat was erg handig. De eerste keer dat ik de ingang van de parkeerplaats niet kon vinden, belde de receptioniste om me te begeleiden – heel attent. De service was ook uitstekend. Alle medewerkers die ik tegenkwam, waren erg vriendelijk. Toen ik incheckte, voegde ik de hotelreceptioniste toe op WeChat en het hotel stuurde me proactief reisgidsen en culinaire gidsen over Lanzhou – de inhoud was zeer gedetailleerd, beter dan de meeste reisgidsen. Halverwege mijn verblijf ondervond het hotel renovatiewerkzaamheden van nabijgelegen bedrijven. Omdat ze zich zorgen maakten over de geluidsoverlast die mijn slaap zou beïnvloeden, vroeg het hotelpersoneel proactief om mijn mening en bood aan om te wisselen naar een rustigere kamer. Ik heb dat echter niet gedaan omdat ik overdag niet op de kamer was. 😊 Tot slot was ik zeer tevreden over de sfeer en de netheid van het hotel, waar ik het meest waarde aan hecht. Het hotel maakte de kamer dagelijks zorgvuldig schoon en de voorzieningen waren altijd brandschoon. Concluderend: ik kan dit hotel van harte aanbevelen en zou hier de volgende keer zeker weer verblijven. PS: Ik ben vergeten foto's van het hotel te maken, maar ik zal een paar reisfoto's delen. 😊

Its a very beautiful hotel . Staffs are friendly and smiling . They have huge breakfast selection but i would say its okay in taste wise. Walkable distance to Mingsha Mountain . If you are using a Didi or Taxi to come in this hotel either from airport or from Mogao Exhibition Center , its called Dunhuang Mountain Villa . I noticed that taxi drivers or the App doesnt pull or know The Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel.

We stayed in this hotel as the base to see the Colourful Mountains. The hotel is old which is ok but it is not as clean as many guests have described. There was hair in the shower and the bathroom is patched up. Also, I would not recommend this hotel for nonsmokers as we are because there is smoking in the common areas. The entire hotel including the rooms smell of stale smoke which have seeped into the carpets and furnishings. You constantly feel choked up with fresh and stale cigarette smoke throughout the entire stay. That said, this viewpoint may be our problem because we are visitors from a country that has banned smoking in enclosed public spaces and it is what we are accustomed to. On another note, the service and hospitality was excellent and we thank the hotel team for this.

Choosing Nashashan Homestay for my trip to Dunhuang Mingsha Mountain was the luckiest decision I made. The location, living environment, and owner's service all far exceeded my expectations. I genuinely recommend it to all visitors coming to Dunhuang. The homestay is nestled at the foot of Mingsha Mountain, just a 10-minute walk directly to the scenic area's entrance. This means no waking up early to beat traffic, no enduring the scorching sun to go back and forth. You can head out early to catch the desert sunrise and return to the courtyard in the evening to quietly enjoy the sunset's afterglow. With minimal light pollution at night, you just look up to see a sky full of dazzling stars – a truly immersive experience of the desert landscape, far from the city's hustle and bustle, quiet and healing. The courtyard is a rammed earth courtyard with distinct Northwestern characteristics, meticulously kept clean and tidy, with tables, chairs, and greenery artfully arranged. Sitting in the courtyard in the evening, enjoying the breeze and drinking tea, creates an incredibly atmospheric vibe. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, with impeccable cleanliness down to the smallest detail. The bedding is soft and dust-free, and every corner and bathroom is thoroughly cleaned. Considering Dunhuang's dry climate, each room is equipped with a humidifier. The independent bathrooms have separate wet and dry areas, with abundant and stable hot water. The hairdryer is powerful, making it easy to quickly clean off sand after playing. The blackout curtains provide excellent sound insulation, ensuring a solid night's sleep after a day of exploration. The homestay also has a self-service laundry and drying area and free parking, which is very convenient for self-driving guests to store luggage and wash sandy clothes. The facilities are comprehensive and thoughtful. What touched me the most was the owner's warm and genuine service, completely devoid of any commercial detachment. Upon arrival, they proactively helped with luggage and made check-in quick and efficient. They also meticulously explained off-peak routes for visiting the scenic area, recommended lesser-known photo spots, and suggested local restaurants frequented by residents. During my stay, any requests were promptly addressed, whether it was refilling drinking water or borrowing items – they were always on call. They were gentle and patient, and in their free time, they would chat with guests about local customs and traditions, making it feel just like staying at a relative's home. For its location, this homestay offers excellent value for money, combining the charm of the desert with a comfortable living experience, making it suitable for couples, families, and friends traveling together. The thoughtful service and superb location added so much warmth to my Dunhuang trip. The next time I visit Mingsha Mountain, Nashashan Homestay will still be my first choice, and I will definitely recommend this hidden gem to my friends planning trips.

The hotel is located in the heart of Lanzhou's Old Town promenade. It's ideal for experiencing the hustle and bustle, especially in the evenings when it's dark and the lights are aglow. We gladly accepted the free upgrade to a Family Suite offered at check-in. The spacious suite boasts all the necessary amenities, including a play tent for the kids. A well-equipped gym and an exceptionally varied breakfast (even the most fussy Westerners will find something to eat here) are available in the neighboring building.

Ik had deze kamer geboekt voor mijn ouders, die een kitten hadden meegenomen. Het personeel bij de receptie was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze hebben onze kamer zelfs gratis geüpgraded omdat ze zeiden dat het kitten dol is op parkour. De kamer was schoon en comfortabel, en er lagen veel boeken in de lobby om te lenen. Kortom, een geweldig verblijf!
