The location was really breathtaking, simply wonderful. The room was cleand and cozy (even had electric blankets to keep you warm in place of air conditioning!) and restaurant served tasty, Chinese dishes in good prices. Overall, the experience - together with the hike - was very nice but it has to be noted that in case of the simplest no-bathroom room, the shared public toilet and bathroom is quite a disgusting experience. We've seen a lot and this one 'topped' it all.

Location was great: Within Lijiang Ancient City and just a 5-min walk to the main road. Stayed during winter season and was glad to know that hot water was consistent. Room was cleaned up daily in the 4 days we stayed there to explore Lijiang and the surrounding areas. Breakfast provided was hearty with a good variety. Reception area is also conveniently located beside a cafe so you can also enjoy a cuppa over breakfast. Shoutout to the staff who were friendly and responded to our queries in a timely manner. They also helped to link us up to a local tour agency that helped us out with a Jade Dragon Snow Mountain day-trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was despite us not having a local Chinese number and only having WeChat as the only communication tool. All in all, really enjoyed our stay here at Songzhuju (松竹居) and will recommend it to my friends and family who are looking to explore Lijiang.

the best service, the kindest host and a very beautifully clean apartment. the hosts had a lot of recommendations for us and were very kind. note: u must call them to pick u from the main entrance inside because it’s very rocky! i must say that I didn’t really look up at the sky with the window though haha

First off: This is known as Judy's in the gorge and has been for years. Not sure why they've renamed it on here but in the gorge look for Judys. Stayed here at Halfway were renovating their balcony rooms. They've recently added new up market rooms with balconies and bathtubs. The rooms are very nice however the balcony is unfortunately somewhat ruined by the new hotel being built directly in front. A fact that isn't noticable on their official photos. My booking also said something about meals included but there no mention of this and we paid for breakfast so perhaps that needs clarifying. Overall the hotel has very nice rooms (and more basic rooms of you prefer) but we didn't have dinner here as we preferred to spend our evening on the rooftop at Halfway.

The lady at the inn was so considerate. She arranged for the driver to pick us up at the door of the inn after we got off the plane. The location is very convenient. The sound insulation effect of the inn on Sifang Street where we stayed last time was so bad that I couldn't sleep all night. Their inn has improved the sound insulation This is very good. The boss lady arranged for us to go to Lashihai until we woke up naturally. We didn’t have enough time to go to Shangri-La the next day and originally wanted to go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. We will save some regrets and wait until next time!

The boss and the manager are very enthusiastic, easy-going, and professional. The service attitude is very good. The room facilities are OK. The location is very good. It is easy to get in and out. You can see the panoramic view of the ancient city. It is a satisfactory travel experience.

I have stayed in many hotels in Shangrila old town over the past 12 years so have a little experience. Location: Close to the top dancing square but at the top of a very steep hill. It had rained so the stone street was VERY slippery. It is close to impossible to walk up the hill with suitcase. There is a 1/2 meter wide ***** of carpet that was laid down on the right side of the road going up the hill. It gave great traction, but unfortunately some non-thinking person had parked their electric cart directly on top of the carpet so you could not navigate it. I arrived at 6 PM and that electric cart was still sitting on the carpet in the same place the next morning at 9 AM. Trying to walk around the electric cart , but I did slip and fell to the ground. I would not come back to this hotel again, if there was any potential for any rain. The picture is of the morning after the rain had dried. When I booked my room, they did tell me that there was only one room remaining and it was for four people. I was solo but I booked it anyway. Unfortunately, I did not understand that there are four beds that are actually side-by-side touching each other. They are very very thin pads laid on top of a wooden platform. No way to get into or out of any bed without crawling back to the foot of the bed and going over the edge that way. It was the hardest sleeping service I have ever been on and got very little sleep. If I had my sleeping bag and camping mattress, I would’ve just slept on the floor. Won’t be back here again. The service people at the hotel were very nice. Offered to carry my bag up to my room on the third floor and the woman who provided the breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. Have no complain about the service just the beds in the access to the hotel. If it’s raining, make it a no go for me 

This hotel will make you feel like home. Nazhu provided the best service among all the hotel we have booked for our entire Lijiang Trip. The service was amazing , View on the rooftop overlooking Jade Dragon Mountain was breathtaking , the room are spacious and clean. The restaurant in the villa serve amazing breakfast and afternoon tea. Breakfast and afternoon tea are all provided as complimentary upon all room booking. The restaurant has an amazing view for pictures and it has one of the best Sunrise view in Li Jiang. We had a lovely and amazing stay at Nilv. The staff and boss were very friendly and approachable. The boss gave helpful recommendations on where to visit and what to eat around there. The lady staff even informed us that if we were first time in such cold and dry weather conditions we need to hydrate ourselves as our nose could bleed. Such warmth touched us ♥️ As for the facilities, we loved the aesthetically designed surroundings. The room is clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable, and the toilet is perfect for us as it comes with a toilet bowl that has a seat warmer and bidet system. This is especially helpful in such a cold weather 👍 The location is near Zhongyi Market place and you don't have to worry about having nothing to eat. However, there's one thing to inform those travellers who want to stay within Lijiang ancient city, and that's the taxis and private hires aren't allowed inside, so it's best to find an accom that's near the perimeter so you don't drag your luggage over long distances, or have the hotel arrange a small vehicle to pick you up at the main road. Overall, we were truly satisfied with our stay here, thank you!!

Hotel service: The B&B is located halfway up the hillside of the ancient city. The B&B proactively arranged tricycle drivers to help carry the suitcases from the entrance of the ancient city to the second floor of the B&B. I didn’t have to work hard to get there and back, so considerate! There is also a flower cake reception, which is delicious! Facilities: Everything you need: air conditioning, projection, bath, shower, ambient lighting, hot water bottle, hair dryer, etc. The bed in the room is clean and hygienic. Environment: Located in the middle of the ancient city, it is prosperous but quiet at night. It only takes two or three minutes to walk to the center of the ancient city. There is a bonfire party in the evening, and there is everything to eat, drink, play and buy.

Views were fantastic! There’s abit of a climb to the hotel. First timers should take a taxi to the hotel (landmark 万古楼） instead of didi as there’s a restricted area which didi drivers cannot access. Staff were really helpful to help mail us back an item which we left behind!

Innkeeper Liu and wife are very good, hospitable, helpful and have fast response. The inn provided a list of recommended restaurants nearby. The Inn is 1 year old and getting better with time. Good location inside Dali old city 5 min walk from the east gate, and 10min by motorised tricycle to Erhai. There are no stairs in this inn. The family room bathroom is a little awkward but the other room bathrooms are very modern and clean. The air-conditioning, bed linen and beds are good. There is a good amount of glazing but no openable windows so we kept the door open whenever we were in. The inn is homey and safe. The neighbours sing karaoke but this is part of the China experience, as are the neon lights across the street. Enjoy that along with the beautiful views of the mountain from your room.

Star room, a super large room, and all disposable face towels and bath towels are prepared. In the morning, I looked at the distant view of the back mountain, which was very beautiful. The hotel staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean and warm. The most important thing is that the location is very good, it is quiet in the bustle, just near Erhai Gate. It is very easy to walk to the central and lively area of ​​the ancient city, but it is not a crowded place. It is very close to Erhai Gate and it is very convenient to take a taxi. , we took a taxi at 7 o'clock in the morning, and we could walk to Caicun to watch the sunrise in ten or twenty minutes. When sunset the street comes alive with many mobile stalls hawkering local small bites and delights. Staffs are friendly and helpful hosts . Services provided are beyond satisfactory. Free pick up from train station if u book a 3 night stay with them. Hassle free booking of bus services to lijiang which again provides pick up from the inn to the bus station to lijiang free of charge. Prices are also lower than those published on the web. I highly recommend this Inn if you are looking for a friendly, clean , safe and homely kind of environment . My concern was the soundproofing after reading reviews but it was not what I imagine. At night is quiet less footsteps of guests coming back which did not annoy me at all. Unless it is inconsiderate guests , it is similar to hotels. Of course it will never be at the level of hotels but the prices are also far lower than hotels but services are at the same level or even higher. Pros Attraction Within 5km radius - Dali ancient town, 3 pagoda, Mt Cangsan trekking trail, Erhai and movie world. Many car and electric bike rental stores/stands. Taxis are plenty if you walk to South gate of ancient town. Cons Really is ones preference!.
