"Wat ik het meest prettig vond, was de uitstekende locatie in de wijk Sakae. Het is erg handig om je te verplaatsen. Winkelgebieden en toeristische attracties liggen op loopafstand. Het bed was groot. Op de terugweg was het makkelijk om een taxi te nemen (¥1100) naar station Nagoya om de trein naar de luchthaven te nemen. De kamer was echter misschien wat krap voor drie personen; twee personen per kamer zou ideaal zijn. De badkamer heeft geen badkuip. Al met al was het prima, zeker voor ongeveer ¥1000 per persoon per nacht."

"De service op de 18e verdieping en bij de receptie was uitstekend, net als de service bij het zwembad en de fitnessruimte. Helaas was de service in restaurant Wu Ren en het Italiaanse restaurant Cavanovia ondermaats. Wu Ren wordt beschouwd als een toprestaurant voor Kaiseki-gerechten, maar de sommelier en het bedienend personeel spraken slecht Engels en waren onwillig om te communiceren. Het leek alsof ze de borden zo snel mogelijk wilden neerzetten en we geacht werden zelf de menukaart te lezen. Dit zou acceptabel zijn in een gewoon restaurant, maar is dit gepast voor een Kaiseki-restaurant? Het hotel moet bevestigen of dit de standaard serviceprocedure is. In het Italiaanse restaurant was het nog erger – er was helemaal geen service. Aanvankelijk waren ze vriendelijk, maar zodra ze Engels hoorden, zeiden ze direct dat er geen plaats was, maakten een wegwuifgebaar en keerden ons de rug toe. Het hotel moet ook bevestigen of dit de standaard serviceprocedure van dit restaurant is."

"The hotel is located in a great shopping area, and there’s a Blue Bottle Coffee on the first floor—perfect for a morning boost. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I booked a room for three people, and the size was comfortable enough for two 28” suitcases. The air-conditioning also allows you to adjust the temperature easily."

"Second time visiting IHG Inuyama, as usual, excellent vibes, views and facilities, the location is slightly remote despite just a 15mins walk from train station.
Suggested to grab food nearby as there are numerous nice restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as getting essentials from Inuyama station before you return to the hotel as there is no convenient store nearby.
In spite of the slightly inconveniences, IHG Inuyama is still one of the best hotels within neighborhood area."

1. The front desk staff were excellent, very quick and professional with the check-in process.
2. The breakfast selection was rich, though at certain times it could get a bit crowded and require a short wait, but this was a minor issue.
3. The room was spacious, clean, and offered great views of Nagoya city. This definitely deserves a big thumbs up.
4. There's a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is only 5 minutes away, which is incredibly convenient.
Every aspect of my stay was great, so of course, I signed up for a membership.

AAnonymous UserMy main goal for this trip was to get some good rest, so I specifically chose a room on the side away from the main road and booked a more expensive top-floor room. Before checking in, I even requested a corner room, hoping to have no neighbors on either side, but the hotel said they couldn't arrange it, which I totally understood.
In terms of soundproofing, if you're on the top floor and not facing the road, it's genuinely very quiet overall. With the windows closed, you basically can't hear any outside traffic or even the normal activities of neighbors. The only exception is if there are kids next door running around loudly in their room, then you'll definitely hear some noticeable noise. I experienced that firsthand this time.
However, for those who prioritize convenient transportation, this hotel might be something to reconsider. It's not particularly close to a subway or train station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. If you're dragging luggage, especially in summer or on a rainy day, it can be quite a struggle. In comparison, many hotels near stations in Nagoya offer excellent value for money.
I chose this place purely for the peace and quiet and the quality of rest. From that perspective, it completely met my expectations. If I visit Nagoya again and my primary goal is still rest, I would likely choose this hotel again.
Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to travelers like me who value sleep quality and a quiet environment.

Floors 9-10 house Bic Camera, and Uniqlo and GU are on the 11th floor, making shopping incredibly easy. There's also a popular restaurant on the same floor that often hosts lively events. You'll even find a pharmacy and convenience store on the same level.

GGuest UserFacilities: The room isn't small for Japan, and it cleverly utilizes every corner. You can open your suitcase without obstructing the walkway.
Cleanliness: If you want your sheets changed daily, you can place the change card on the bed. However, there's always a lingering smell in the bathroom and toilet.
Environment: Located in the Sakae shopping district, it's super convenient for shopping. You can use the underground mall to reach major department stores when it's raining or hot. The hotel is in the Chunichi Building, and the Montbell store on the 2nd floor offers tax refunds and has a good selection of goods.
Service: The front desk staff always greet you when you pass by. The room view is excellent.

AAnonymous UserWe booked this hotel for a last-minute trip to Nagoya, choosing it as one of the city’s newest luxury hotels. Prior to arrival, it was difficult to reach the hotel to arrange spa bookings, and the process took quite some time. Even upon check-in, making spa reservations through the front desk felt complicated, so we eventually visited the spa directly to enquire.
The wellness facilities, including the pool and fitness centre, were excellent, though advance booking was required, which could be inconvenient. Service throughout the stay could have been more flexible, especially when our food delivery arrived and the team was unable to hold it briefly at the concierge while we came down to collect it.
That said, the location was great for sightseeing around Nagoya.

The location is hard to beat — it's right above Nagoya Station and surrounded by restaurants, cafés, department stores, and shopping malls. It made everything so easy, whether we were heading out for sightseeing, grabbing a quick meal, or doing a bit of shopping.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and had amazing views of the city. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge after a busy day exploring Nagoya. The hotel itself was very well maintained, and everything felt clean and welcoming throughout our stay.
The staff were also great — friendly, professional, and always happy to help.
The only small downside was the parking, which was a little confusing to figure out at first. Some clearer directions for hotel guests would make the experience even smoother.
Other than that, everything was excellent. Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly service, and lots of dining and shopping options right at your doorstep. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to families visiting Nagoya! 😊⭐⭐⭐⭐

GGuest UserThe lobby is beautiful, the facilities are new, and the service is excellent. We enjoyed the hot spring bath with a beautiful view of Inuyama Castle. The only downsides are that there aren't many restaurants or shops around the hotel, and the gym, while pretty, has limited equipment and isn't very practical.

KKaka696924This is a local Japanese hotel chain. The facilities are decorated in a Japanese style. Although it opened many years ago, it's still very comfortable overall. The rooms aren't huge, but they have all the necessary functions. For dining, the hotel has buffet, Japanese, Chinese, and French restaurants on the first and second floors, and the quality is consistently good. The location is very convenient, not far from the Sakae shopping district and the subway station. There's also a direct bus from Chubu Centrair Airport (NGO), so everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment is within reach. The service was excellent. Although there was a slight hiccup where our luggage was taken by mistake after we checked it, the hotel staff quickly arranged to retrieve it, and it didn't cause any delays.

GGuest UserThe hotel check-in is on the sixth floor. There was a bit of a mix-up with my reservation at first, which caused some delays, but once it was sorted out, everything else was very satisfactory. The Nagoya Kanko Hotel is an older 5-star hotel with large and spacious public areas. As is common with most Japanese hotels, Saturday rates are significantly higher than weekdays. They offer smoking rooms (many Japanese hotels are now completely smoke-free). The bathroom was still very well-maintained, and the toiletries were BVLGARI. The breakfast quality was also excellent. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the airport shuttle bus stop, making travel to Chubu Airport very easy. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Nagoya.

AAnonymous UserHeads up! The Nagoya Prince Hotel discriminates heavily against Chinese tourists, terrible experience.
I was really looking forward to staying at this supposedly high-end hotel, but from start to finish, the front desk staff clearly treated Chinese guests differently. Their attitude towards us was cold and perfunctory, completely lacking in service professionalism. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel for domestic travelers.
When checking in, European and American guests in my group asked questions, and the staff were patient, thorough, and smiled throughout their interactions. But when it was our turn to ask about room types using simple Chinese and basic English, the staff remained expressionless, frequently interrupted our questions, and even refused to use a translation app I was using to communicate. Their answers were perfunctory and sloppy. They even claimed there were no Chinese-speaking staff, despite the hotel clearly offering Chinese service. The contrast was stark and made us feel very uncomfortable.
When we tried to give feedback about the difference in service, the front desk showed no apology whatsoever. Instead, they prevaricated and shirked responsibility, completely disregarding our reasonable concerns. As a star-rated hotel with high prices, they should treat guests from all countries equally, but instead, they showed prejudice and discriminated against Chinese guests. The service and hospitality were subpar in every aspect. Paying a high price only to receive a frustrating and upsetting accommodation experience, I strongly advise Chinese tourists planning to visit Nagoya to avoid this hotel. For the same price, there are many other options that respect Chinese guests and offer thoughtful service. Don't fall into this trap.
