De medewerkers zijn allemaal erg aardig, maar de faciliteiten zijn eenvoudig. Er zijn geen slippers, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, lichaamszeep of handzeep in de kamer.
Ook al ben ik een vrouw, ik heb een kamer op de eerste verdieping die ik vanuit het zwembad kan zien, tenzij ik de gordijnen dicht doe, en ik moet mijn koffer de trap op dragen.
Ik wil niets slechts zeggen over het personeel, want ze waren aardig voor me, maar ik heb het gevoel dat ze iets meer konden doen.
Ik wilde gewoon de veerboot nemen, dus koos ik het hotel dat het dichtst bij de veerbootterminal lag.

De suites bevinden zich op de zuidelijke strandstrook van het eiland, bereikbaar met 2 bussen of een taxi vanaf de veerhaven. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk, hoewel niet altijd op de hoogte van dingen toen we wat vragen stelden, maar ze deden hun best om erachter te komen. De badkamer heeft geen afzuigventilator en moet wat werk worden gedaan en de kamers kunnen wel een likje verf gebruiken. Maar over het algemeen erg mooi en comfortabel, schoon groot buitenzwembad, genoeg bedjes en parasols en bedden direct aan het strand met badmeester aanwezig. Het ontbijt was ook lekker met veel opties. Zou er weer verblijven

Een fantastisch hotel. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. De locatie is perfect, erg handig – slechts 3 minuten lopen van de bushalte naar de luchthaven. Schoon en met uitstekende service. Het personeel bij de receptie is vriendelijk en professioneel. Het ontbijt is ook uitstekend. Een echte aanrader!

We verbleven in het hotel met een groep vrienden. De ervaring was erg fijn: de kamers zijn schoon en het design is interessant en gezellig. Je ontbijt in het hotel ernaast en het is heerlijk. Je kunt ook gebruik maken van het terrein van het andere hotel: er is een erg fijne lounge, een zwembad en uitzicht op zee. We hebben ervan genoten.
Eén ding stoorde ons: als je met open ramen wilt slapen, kan het erg lawaaierig zijn. Door de bussen (die al vroeg in de ochtend vertrekken) en de luidruchtige mensen (die dronken zongen en schreeuwden). Maar als je het raam dichtdoet, is alles perfect.

Als Ronaldo-fan is dit hotel een absolute aanrader! De inrichting is zo cool en de gang is zo stijlvol! Boven het bed hangt een schilderij dat Ronaldo's carrière van zijn jeugd tot volwassenheid uitbeeldt, echt geweldig! Het terras is perfect om te zwemmen en te zonnen, met uitzicht op de oceaan en de cruiseschepen. Er hangt ook een gesigneerd Ronaldo-shirt in het hotel en het Ronaldo Museum ligt ernaast. Gasten die in het hotel verblijven, kunnen gratis museumtickets ophalen bij de receptie. Uitstekend!

I had an exceptional stay at Hotel Torre Praia. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming. The food was delightful, offering a wide range of delicious options that I thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel was exactly as depicted in the photos, conveniently located right by the beach in a stunningly picturesque area. My room was spotless and was refreshed every day, adding to the overall comfort of my experience.

O Porto Santo Hotel & Spa é uma escolha excelente para quem procura descanso e tranquilidade. Apesar de ser um hotel modesto, é extremamente confortável e acolhedor. Destaco especialmente a simpatia e disponibilidade do staff, que torna a experiência ainda mais agradável. E o bar de praia? Simplesmente espetacular — perfeito para aproveitar o pôr do sol com uma bebida na mão. Recomendo!

Het Hotel Next in Funchal op Madeira maakt indruk met zijn uitstekende ligging direct aan het water. De kamers, hoewel ruim, hebben door hun duisternis de neiging om een enigszins ingetogen sfeer te creëren. Niettemin scoort het hotel met comfortabele bedden, moderne meubels en aantrekkelijke badkamers. Het ontbijt, geserveerd in een kantinestijl, heeft een beperkte selectie en de kwaliteit kan worden verbeterd. Een hoogtepunt is echter de beachclub aan het water, die weliswaar zonder strand positief opvalt met een zwembad en directe toegang tot de zee via een steiger.

GGuest UserGreat hotel with its own spa area and beautiful natural pools right next to the beach. There are a lot of tourists in this region. I would recommend buying water etc. before checking in.
Highly recommended for the nightly price of around €150-170. I wouldn't pay more than that though.

MMuhammadOne of the main reason why I booked this 4 star hotel was that it said it had a large space gym area as mentioned before booking, so I assumed it being a 4 start Hotel it will have decent weights and machines. However, when I arrived, the gym didn’t have a pull-up bar or a cable machine, the dumbbell weights were very basic that went up to only 10 kg. That is absolutely disappointing considering this was a 4 start Hotel. To be honest the multiuse cable machine is pretty much all you need as it has everything to be exercise all your body parts! I love my pullups hence I had to find a way to do them so I found a metal gate just outside the gym in the tennis court believe it or not I used the gate frame to do my pullups (see picture). Another downfall is that it didn’t have a water fountain in the gym area. You had to go up to the reception and buy bottle of water for €2. Good luck to those who suffer from quick dehydration.
I expected the room to have a kettle which you wouldn’t think twice whether it will have it or not. But guess what? You have to pay extra to have a kettle in your room during your stay between €5 to €7. That’s just jokes, I didn’t know if I should laugh or cry!
Other than that, the staff were very friendly and the location is close to the sea, and approximately 11 minutes drive to the main city area in Funchal.
I’d say the breakfast is good, but the same time pretty standard what you would get in a 3 star hotel. I was expecting better variety. The breakfast is always the same every day. Hardly never changes. However, the dinner menu has a rotation.
Overall, I would give this place 3.5 out of 5!
I hope they can accommodate the above the next time I visit.

Excellent location in Calheta, right on a golden sand beach, with direct access from the hotel. It is ideal to have a car as it is 30 minutes from Funchal.
It's worth paying extra to have a room with a sea view
The quality and quantity of the food complies with the all-inclusive package, as do the drinks.
Daily and varied entertainment.
Good spa with heated pool, Turkish bath, sauna and cold showers.
Very pleasant outdoor pool area, with plenty of sun loungers and well designed.
Free ping pong, paid billiards (€3/hour).
Very good price/quality ratio.

Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located just outside of old Funchal which was about 10 minutes drive away. There are lots of good restaurants near by and nearest beach is appropriately 7-10minutes walk down from the hotel. Good breakfast options. Nice location for a sunset view from the outdoor pool area.

GGuest UserI chose a hotel with an ocean view at an affordable price.
As a result, there was a hotel with very spacious rooms, panoramic window, coffee/tea, a comfortable bathroom with bid, a large balcony. The only moments: a separate bed for the couple and a weak shower. Noise of night waves on the amateur:) We had to close the door on the balcony, though it was quite noisy.
The service is very friendly.
Breakfast is delicious and fresh. There are plenty of baking, drinks, cuts and hot.
I didn't expect there would be a free transfer to the center and back. Absolute plus this hotel because it is not in step-by-step access from the center.
The views, the purity near the hotel, its beach is amazing.
Then we lived in the private sector and a lot of what looked at the island, but the first two nights in Orca Praia remained in our heart 💘

GGuest UserDouble room for single occupancy; the room is rather substandard and in no way meets the standards of a 4-star hotel. Upon arrival, there was a steadily growing puddle under the sink in the bathroom, extending behind the toilet. The damage must have been known for some time, as the corresponding limescale stains had not been removed. There were water stains all over the bathroom ceiling, a discolored shower curtain, and not a single electrical outlet (even for an electric toothbrush). The room itself is only habitable with the balcony closed, as jackhammers and excavators operate loudly from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the hotel opposite, making noise impossible to ignore even with the door closed. Therefore, balcony use is only possible after 6:00 PM. Moving to another room is not possible, as the hotel is fully booked. For my trip costing €622, I was offered a complimentary dinner (worth €21.50) in the hotel restaurant on the last evening as compensation.

GGuest UserA stunning location and a very comfortable, clean hotel with amazing views from the bedroom and restaurant. Walking opportunities are limited due to the steepness of the terrain but there’s a great path down to Curral do Freitas (45-60 minutes). Service was very good but the vegetarian food was not up to the standards that we expected. Good selection at breakfast but the hot breakfast is not kept warm. Nice jacuzzi and nice, small indoor pool.Certainly worth a visit but could be even better with better food as it’s a long way to the nearest restaurant. €3.35 bus from Funchal (No. 81) but check timetables carefully

AAnonymous UserThe room was simple but very clean. The hotel restaurant offered delicious banana swordfish and macaroni. The service, in particular, was outstanding. During check-in, they provided a thorough introduction to the facilities and even personally guided us around, explaining everything (perhaps because the beachfront pool was accessed via the back garden). Just as we were checking out, we witnessed a guest in the lobby suddenly choking. The front desk staff quickly sprang into action, performing the Heimlich maneuver and saving a life. All in all, everything was fantastic. Their high occupancy rate seems well-deserved. Thumbs up!

KKseniiaWe stayed in the hotel with group of friends. The experience was really nice — rooms are clean and design are interesting and cozy. You will have breakfast in the other hotel next door and it’s delicious. Also you can use territory of other hotel — there are really nice lounge zone, pool and sea-view. We enjoyed.
Only one thing was disturbing — if you want to sleep with open windows it can be really noisy. Because of the buses (going from early morning) and loud people (who were singing and screaming drunk). But if you close the window everything is perfect.
