It was a very good experience. The rooms is clean and modern, the pillow is comfort, bathroom is so spcious, plus welcome drinks in the fridge once checked in.
The staffs are always friendly and responsive.
Lobby is well decorated, cozy feels like home with touch of artistic design.
Surrounding is convenient, there are lots of choice of food, Chagee, 24hr convenience shop are downstair. Only 10-15mins drive to take speedboat to pulau.
Only parking is about rm30 per day. No free parking.

Saya bernasib baik jumpa bilik ni yang dapat muatkan 4 orang dewasa. Lebih murah dari sewa 2 bilik hotel. Ayuhouz masih baru so sangat bersih, selesa dan staff yang sangat efficient. Penginapan ni cuma bebrapa ratus meter sebelah hospital Queen E 1 so sangat sesuai untuk sesiapa dari jauh untuk tinggal dan boleh berulang alik samada untuk rawatan atau melawat saudara yang sakit di wad.

Het hotel ligt midden in de drukke wijk van het stadscentrum. Alles is dichtbij. Het ligt ook aan de kust, vol met toeristische plekken. De kamer is zeer schoon. De medewerkers zijn allemaal vriendelijk en het eten is zo goed. Ik heb genoten van mijn verblijf in dit hotel en ik zou iedereen aanraden dit hotel te proberen als je naar Kota Kinabalu komt.

We hadden twee kamers geboekt en verbleven er één nacht. Hartelijk dank Nicole voor de mogelijkheid tot vroeg inchecken, de snelle check-in en de vlotte check-out. Het ontbijt krijgt van mij een 6,5/10, gebaseerd op de beschikbare gerechten, en het personeel was efficiënt in de bediening; met name de eierhoek, die erg druk was maar toch de lange rij gasten efficiënt bediende. Dank aan de technische dienst die snel ter plaatse was om het probleem met de naar beneden glijdende douchekop op te lossen.
Al met al zeer tevreden met ons verblijf van één nacht.

Great service. Decided to book the hotel at the very last minute. Booking confirm almost immediately. Did not bring charger but luckily i got my usb with me and the room have a plug that can be direct plug in usb. The view is splendid,(i choose sea view) unfortunately they did not provide free parking. I was charge about rm 22 for 1 overnight stay.the hotel itself is walking distance to anjung kinabalu.the breakfast limited choice for weekend stay, but the food is delicious.i would recommend this hotel 8.5/10

The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. The hotel itself is new, modern, and very clean, which made our stay comfortable.
Although the buffet breakfast didn’t have a wide variety of choices, the food served was tasty and of good quality.
Overall, it’s a nice place to stay, especially if you value convenience, cleanliness, and comfort. I would definitely consider coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Cara. It’s a very interesting boutique hotel and honestly I’ve seen nothing like this before in KK, the concept feels very fresh and different. Every corner is photo worthy, so those who like taking pictures will definitely love it here.
The room was super comfortable and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the small details to make it feel premium. Everything from the bed quality to the layout was spot on. Usually, boutique hotels look good but are not practical, but here, it was actually very easy to settle in and just relax. It's a nice change of pace compared to the bigger, standard hotels in the city.

1. Het personeel was allemaal erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk, zelfs het personeel bij het zwembad was erg aardig.
2. Er waren te veel mensen bij het zwembad toen wij er waren.
3. Jammer dat er geen ontbijt was.
4. Hmm... het toilet had alleen een bidet. Wij Sabahanen zijn niet zo dol op bidets, ze zijn moeilijk te gebruiken voor kinderen en ook voor volwassenen, het is lastig om je te wassen, haha.
5. Maar de kamer was erg ruim, het bed ook groot en de prijs was betaalbaar.
6. Ik had ook om verjaardagsdecoratie gevraagd, maar die was er helaas niet bij het inchecken. Maar dat is oké. Nog iets: bij het inchecken was onze kamer niet op slot, wat zorgwekkend was. De kamer miste ook basisbenodigdheden zoals een badjas en handzeep, terwijl de naastgelegen kamer die wel had. We hebben desondanks genoten van ons verblijf, maar we hopen dat het management meer aandacht zal besteden aan de voorbereiding van de kamers en de veiligheid van de gasten.

Very clean unit with complete amenities. Have a balcony with a nice sea view, and also city view from the living room. There is a smart TV with Netflix and YouTube (this is good for kids) 😅. Located in the middle of the city center, all tourist hotspot are within walking distance. Will definitely come back again for the next holiday. 👍👍👍and worth the price.

AAnonymous UserIf you are in the area to visit the KKIP industrial zone, the Klagen Regency is perfectly positioned. It is located quite a distance from the main town center, which may seem remote at first, but it is a strategic advantage if you want to avoid a long daily commute to your work sites.
The hotel itself is impressively well-kept. It’s clear that management prioritizes maintenance, as the rooms and common areas feel fresh and clean. The service is equally commendable; the staff are helpful and ensure a smooth, professional experience from check-in to check-out.
Sorry I does not have the photo of the room because I am there for a business meeting but the room is okay to stay. Buffet Breakfast is good, also you can find very nice local food with walking distance .

CChengyueThe experience at Semporna Sky Water Villas exceeded all expectations! My friend and I stayed in the Starlight Villa for two days, and it was truly beyond what we imagined. As soon as we arrived on the island, we were stunned by the scenery: the crystal-clear glass-like sea shimmered with various shades of blue and green under the sun. The wooden boardwalk, flanked by lush greenery, blended beautifully with the seascape – every photo we took looked like a postcard. The view from the Starlight Villa was simply incredible, with our balcony directly facing the ocean. In the evenings, we watched the orange and pink sunset paint the sea like a masterpiece, and at night, we could lie on the terrace and gaze at the Milky Way and countless stars. It was so romantic, we were speechless. The room facilities were clean and thoughtful; the wooden floors and furniture had a subtle oceanic scent, and both the shower water temperature and bedding comfort were perfect. The staff's service was truly top-notch, from their warm welcome upon arrival to actively recommending local specialties during meals, and even thoughtfully reminding us of the best time to catch the sunset. Every detail reflected their warmth. Whether it was a morning stroll on the boardwalk listening to the waves or relaxing on the terrace in the afternoon breeze, it allowed us to completely unwind. Half of the beautiful memories from this trip came from Semporna's sea, and the other half from this perfect water villa. We're already planning our next visit!

This hotel on Mantanani Island, Kota Kinabalu, is an absolute gem! It's simply divine!
I specifically came to Kota Kinabalu for Mantanani Island's crystal-clear waters, and I chose the Mantanani Hotel in advance. After staying there, I just had to give it five stars!
The location is absolutely stunning. Step out, and you're on a soft, white sand beach. Open the balcony door, and you're greeted by the jelly-blue ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves every day was incredibly therapeutic. We booked a sea-view room; it was clean and spacious, the mattress had just the right firmness, and the shower water pressure was perfectly stable. There was no cramped feeling, which can often be the case with island hotels.
I have to praise the service! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They pre-arranged our island transfers and even proactively recommended snorkeling spots and delicious local snacks. They were always responsive and efficient. The hotel breakfast was also a pleasant surprise – freshly baked waffles with fresh mango, and freshly made Teh Tarik. The taste was absolutely spot on.
In the afternoon, I relaxed on a hotel beach chair, enjoying the sea breeze, and in the evening, I had a barbecue at the hotel restaurant under the stars. The pace was wonderfully slow and comfortable – exactly the island vacation vibe I was looking for. If you're coming to Mantanani Island, I honestly recommend staying here. The experience is so much better than a day trip. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kota Kinabalu!

GGuest UserOverall, our stay was very good – actually, better than expected! We had a lovely balcony with a nice view. The pool itself was nice – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful. After we checked out, we accidentally left some clothes in the washing machine, and they kindly recovered them for us. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference!
Downstairs, there are plenty of food options, so you’ll never go hungry.
I’d definitely recommend this place for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, well-located base. Great value for money.

WWangconglongThis was my third time staying at the Kaseh Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, and I brought my mother along for a trip. As always, the stay was incredibly satisfying!
Service: The front desk staff were warm and helpful, offering check-in services in both Chinese and English. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of dishes that my mother particularly enjoyed. When cleaning the room, they always replenished necessary disposable items and even helped tidy up clothes on the bed and toiletries in the bathroom, which was very thoughtful.
Cleanliness: The hotel was clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning service.
Environment: The location is extremely convenient. Taking a Grab to city attractions is always within a ten-minute drive, making it easy to get to Sutera Harbour for island hopping and Gaya Street. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's only about a ten-minute Grab ride from the airport, so there's no need to wake up extra early to catch a flight. Getting around to and from the hotel is very convenient.
Facilities: As always, the facilities are complete. You can take hotel towels with you for island hopping and snorkeling, just remember to return them. There are plenty of drying racks, perfect for hanging clothes. There's also an outdoor swimming pool.

GGuest UserOur stay at the Sagittarius Water Bungalow was absolutely fantastic! From our butler Xiao Gu to all the staff on the water bungalows and even the owners, everyone was incredibly nice. The rooms are equipped with smart Xiaomi home devices, clean and tidy. Opening the curtains reveals the beautiful 'jellyfish sea,' and the scenery is simply captivating. The food at the water bungalows is also delicious; breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are all included in the price. Airport transfers and boat rides to the island are also covered, making it excellent value for money! We stayed for five days and four nights and didn't want to leave. The atmosphere on the island is also great, with KTV and song requests every night – the owner and his wife sing really well, by the way! The water bungalows offer a lot of entertainment, including sea fishing, snorkeling, glass-bottom boat tours, and drone photography. The local staff (Xiao Hei) are also happy to help with photos 📸. You can even get your diving certification and go on island-hopping day trips, keeping you thoroughly entertained. We came to Semporna specifically to get our diving certification, and the water bungalow's own dive shop is highly recommended. The instructors are very responsible and dedicated. I'd like to thank Xiao Li and Instructor Mohd Rizal Baba Selleh. The prices are fair, and the teaching focuses on the safety and skills of the students, which is very reassuring. The dive shop owner's wife is also super nice. All in all, this trip was incredibly worthwhile, and we'll definitely be back! I'll also be recommending it to my friends and family 😊

However, the room faced a busy street, resulting in significant noise from motorcycles and traffic, which affected the overall stay. Another downside was the elevator outage. After a long wait, I had to walk down 19 floors using the stairs. The hotel could have addressed the issue more quickly to minimize the inconvenience and impact on guests.

GGuest UserThe booking from apps and self check in at the premises is very convenient and easy.
The facilities and equipment in the room and premise is quite old. However, we still managed to get a comfortable room and functional equipment and also a good beach view.
But the view and scenery of the beach is very breathtaking. The children are really enjoying the beach and pool.
We definitely would like to come again and try the pool villa unit next time.

AAye_AkiraStayed here with family and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the competitive pricing. The room itself was excellent — very clean, spacious, and well prepared. The hotel followed our requests properly regarding the extra bed and breakfast arrangements, which made the stay much smoother for the family. Basic amenities were provided including shampoo, conditioner, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. We could not find a shower cap initially, but it seems it can be requested from the front desk.
Breakfast was decent, though nothing particularly extraordinary. The resort offers quite a lot of fun activities and there were many families and local tourists during our stay, probably because of the holiday season. The view around the property was also very nice.
In terms of design, the hotel feels somewhat similar to the neighbouring Shangri-La Rasa Ria, although naturally at a much lower price point, which makes it quite attractive value-wise.
A few things to note: the road leading to the hotel was quite dark and a little confusing at night. There is also not much happening in the immediate vicinity after dark, so having your own transport is highly recommended. Since the hotel is rather far out, getting a Grab ride might be difficult at times. Thankfully, parking was ample for those driving.
One small downside was that while the room cleanliness was top notch, the outdoor corridors had quite a lot of leaves, bugs, and dust. Being a resort surrounded by nature, this is somewhat understandable, but still noticeable.
Overall, a good value family resort stay with spacious clean rooms, nice scenery, and plenty of activities, especially if you are travelling with your own vehicle 👍🏻
