De locatie van het hotel is een groot pluspunt, precies op het kruispunt van East-West Alley en Zhengyang Pedestrian Street. Het is dichtbij de Olifantenslurfberg, de Dubbele Pagodes en het Jingjiang Princes' Palace, allemaal op loopafstand. Er is openbare parkeergelegenheid niet ver van het hotel, maar je moet wel een stukje lopen. Het receptiepersoneel was proactief en enthousiast, en we waren over het algemeen zeer tevreden met ons verblijf, vooral met de ontbijtzaal op de bovenste verdieping, waar je van het uitzicht kunt genieten terwijl je ontbijt. Als we de volgende keer weer naar Guilin reizen, zullen we zeker weer voor dit hotel kiezen.

Het hotel ligt in het stadscentrum, omgeven door de beroemde snackstraat van Guilin. De Zon- en Maanpagodes en de Olifantenslurfberg zijn op loopafstand, dus qua eten, verblijf en vervoer is het allemaal erg gemakkelijk.
De receptionistes waren uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en gastvrij. Hoewel het een viersterrenhotel is, vind ik hun service van een vijfsterrenkwaliteit: warme thee bij het inchecken en handwarmers als afscheidsgeschenk bij het uitchecken. Mijn bagage was wat zwaar, maar ze hielpen me zowel bij aankomst als vertrek met het dragen. Daarnaast gaven de receptionistes proactief reistips en aanbevelingen voor lokale restaurants; alle aanbevolen gerechten waren heerlijk en een schot in de roos.
De familiekamer was ruim en bood uitzicht op de bergen. Kindertandenborstels en -slippers waren aanwezig. Hoewel het ontbijtaanbod niet zo uitgebreid was als in een vijfsterrenhotel, was de kwaliteit uitstekend. De zoete aardappelen waren heerlijk zoet, de sojamelk versgemalen en er was zelfs Guilin rijstnoedels beschikbaar.
Ik voelde me hier echt thuis, wat aantoont dat ze met veel zorg aan dit hotel werken.
Nogmaals complimenten aan de receptionistes en al het personeel voor hun attente service 💯. Ik wens jullie alle voorspoed en dat al het personeel gelukkig en gezond mag blijven.

, Ik was zeer tevreden met mijn verblijf. Het is erg handig om hier te verblijven tijdens May Day. Het ligt midden in het centrum van Guilin, en het is slechts 10 minuten lopen naar Elephant Trunk Mountain, Two Rivers en Four Lakes eten, en de service is erg warm en gastvrij, ik wil het prijzen. Charmant en dong, ga zo door met het goede werk.

第一次去廣西河池遊玩，挑了這家酒店住一晚，方便第二天早上去河池小山峽遊覽（車程20公里）。我們從巴馬開車高速下來一會兒就到酒店，地理位置十分便利。一到酒店大堂就感覺選對了住宿地，鉑悦酒店開業不久，整體風格簡約時尚，看得出是專業設計，佈局合理，用材講究，配套齊全。床品及客房用品具備高星級酒店標準，衞生質量及對客服務質量均能參照星級服務規範。在廣西內陸小城市有這種單體酒店管理的酒店，能做到這樣也的確是驚喜和滿足。值得給五星好評！

De locatie van het hotel is perfect, vlakbij de Olifantenheuvel. Het was erg handig om overal naartoe te gaan, alles was op 10 minuten loopafstand. Het weer was prachtig tijdens ons verblijf en het uitzicht was adembenemend. De kamer was schoon, stil en comfortabel, we hebben erg genoten. Ze hebben hier ook familiekamers, wat ideaal is voor gezinnen die op vakantie gaan. We hebben echt een geweldige tijd gehad. De gerechten in het restaurant, de afternoon tea en de bier-vis waren ook heerlijk. Vijf sterren!

A lovely place for staycation. It was so serene and the view, looking at the rice terraces, replenishes one’s soul and relaxes not just your eyes but your whole body. I love the position of the bath tub overlooking the rice terraces and the nearby osmanthus trees. Morning walk along the path and seeing the ready smile of the locals was sweet. The bed and pillow are comfy and clean. Had we stayed for more than 2 nights, I would have used the washing machine in our room 😉 We had our breakfast, not much options but filling, and dinner (not included in the booking fee and the food in the menu are freshly cooked once you order) at the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel staff are accommodating. They even helped us arrange a car to bring us to and from the hotel. Free use of traditional costume for pictorial.

我願稱之為崇左最好的酒店，據説下榻的崇左太平古城萬達錦華設施設備比較新，環境也很安靜，跟旁邊喧鬧的古城形成了鮮明的對比。猶如鬧市中的一隅偏居。可以直通古城，晚上古城還有很多活動，無人機，打鐵花等水上表演。下次來還會選擇這個酒店，硬要説改善的話，請裝充電樁，對於自駕遊的遊客來説，有充電樁會更完美。

Dit populaire resorthotel in Yangshuo biedt een panoramisch uitzicht op de karakteristieke bergen van Guilin vanuit de 270 meter hoge ramen die van vloer tot plafond reiken. De kamers zijn schoon, netjes en verzorgd. Zo’n mooi hotel! Alles was super goed geregeld, toen we aankwamen kregen we een gratis upgrade naar een grotere kamer. De kamer zijn schoon en hebben alles wat je nodig hebt.
Elke dag konden we genieten van wat taartjes + thee bovenop het dakterras. Ik zal dit zeer aanbevelen !!

Who can resist the joy of West Street being right at your doorstep?! The hotel is right in the heart of West Street, literally steps away from snack streets, creative shops, night markets, and bars. You can easily find Beer Fish, Luosifen (snail noodles), and all sorts of Yangshuo specialty snacks just by walking out. When you're tired from exploring, you can just pop back to the hotel and relax, no need for a long trek back – it's incredibly convenient 🥳
What truly blew me away was the unique tranquility amidst the bustling city. Downstairs, West Street is buzzing with lively energy, but inside the room, it's incredibly quiet. The soundproofing is amazing; you can't hear any of the street noise. You can lie in bed and peacefully admire the stunning karst peaks. Enjoying the lush green mountains by day and drifting off to sleep in silence at night truly elevates the vacation vibe ✨

GGuest UserOur stay here was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless and very comfortable, giving us great peace of mind. It was also wonderfully quiet, as there weren't many guests. The beer-braised fish at the downstairs restaurant was incredibly fresh and flavorful – absolutely delicious! The guesthouse even has its own little bar, serving up tasty cocktails in a lovely atmosphere. And the small courtyard with its beautiful scenery shows how much thought and care went into everything. Overall, the experience was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

AAnonymous UserA trainee checked us in and assigned #1005. Upon entering, we noticed a strong cigarette odor. The front desk was courteous and offered two alternative rooms, but both had similar lingering smells. Housekeeping provided an air purifier, which helped somewhat. We also observed guests smoking in the hallway, so the odor seems to be an ongoing issue. As non-smokers who are sensitive to smoke, this was a significant drawback and not something we typically encounter with international hotel brands.
There was also some confusion during payment. After showing us the rooms, the trainee realized we had not been charged and brought a POS machine to the room, which did not have a signal. We eventually had to go downstairs and complete three separate transactions via Alipay. Note that Alipay charges a ~3% service fee on transactions over ¥200 when using international cards, which may be inconvenient for some travelers. I have been using my Visa at global hotel brands for over a month and encountered no issues.
One frustrating moment was when housekeeping insisted there was no cigarette odor. We understand that perceptions may differ, but it’s important to acknowledge guest feedback, especially for those sensitive to smoke.
The bed was comfortable, and sound insulation was average. Despite being on the 10th floor, we could hear traffic noise as well as our neighbors talking and moving furniture. Wi-Fi was also quite slow (2.4 GHz only), with speeds in the teens for both upload and download. Light switches were complicated with options like London, Paris. New York, etc. The hotel isn't a new built and used to be another hotel as you can see from their mugs, towels, etc. Note to myself to book for newly built, not newly opened.
The hotel offered us a complimentary breakfast on the 12th floor. The selection was primarily Chinese (about 95%), with minimal Western options. None of the items were labeled, which could be challenging for international guests and those with dietary restrictions.
Laundry service is available, either self-service or through staff. However, communication was difficult and the interaction felt unnecessarily complicated. The staff who collected our clothes was talking so loudly that my husband thought we were arguing. In hindsight, we should have done the laundry ourselves
The hotel is within a 10 minute walking distance to a food street that has tons of eateries that locals go. It will be difficult to order in non Chinese.
Overall, the hotel does not appear to cater well to non-Chinese-speaking guests. Per my husband, despite using the translation app, basic requests (asking for an umbrella) were difficult without Mandarin, which made the experience more tiring.
During check out, the front desk offered some dried fruit as a gift and reminded us to give a 5 star rating on everything. This is a common request as we experienced it at a previous hotel. This is our 4th local hotel throughout the 6 weeks visit in China.
In summary, while the stay was acceptable, the persistent cigarette odor and communication challenges would prevent us from choosing a similar local hotel again.

JJoe0611The room matched the pictures perfectly, with complete amenities and excellent service. The breakfast was also good, and there's a parking lot – not huge, but sufficient. It's conveniently located close to Sun and Moon Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill, all within walking distance. The only minor issue was the WiFi occasionally dropping out. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

GGuest UserThe minshu is located within walking distance to the picturesque Yulong River and Ten Mile Painting tour area, super convenient. What I like most of this accommodation is their personal service. Their staff is always there taking care of us- with your info, and helping with luggages and booking. They don't charge commission in booking show for us, e. g. Siu Tao is the best, a natural in service industry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Service: The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, every staff member at the front desk was super nice. When checking out, the front desk attendant even thoughtfully gave me mosquito repellent, which was such a lifesaver, honestly, the mosquitoes in Guangxi are pretty vicious! Overall, the service is great, and everyone at the hotel is very friendly. The hotel is also quite close to Elephant Trunk Hill. Highly recommended!

CChaziyanhong1980The tall lady at the front desk was so welcoming and attentive. My original room was on the second floor, but I wanted a room on the third. She advised me to check it out first, as there would be an extra charge. I decided against it and went back to the second-floor room, only to find the air conditioner's outdoor unit was too close and noisy. She then promptly moved me to a quieter room, and she didn't show an ounce of annoyance throughout the whole process! The room's bathroom was spotless, and the breakfast restaurant was also clean and aesthetically pleasing, with a great breakfast to boot! There was always someone available to help with luggage when going up or down. Plus, they have their own private staircase directly into the Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area!

MMarvin ZacariasWow, my first ever trip to Yangshuo, and it was spectacular. I had a lot of hotels to choose from, but I’m glad I picked this place. It’s close to West Street and a beautiful park. For the price, it’s amazing!
The breakfast isn’t a buffet—it’s rice noodles, a half sandwich, watermelon, dumplings a hard-boiled egg, and sweet potato.(see picture) It’s filling but not exciting. The main thing I liked was the coffee machine. You can drink coffee to your heart’s content in their canteen, which looks so pretty and modern. The room is clean too, with a nice bed and a good mountain view. Plus, there are VIP shows and movies! And I have to say, this was amazing for us because, unfortunately, during our stay in Yangshuo, it was raining all day. So we watched Zootopia and other Disney movies for free—so comfortable!The shower pressure is strong, and the soundproofing is amazing—literally like magic. When we first entered the room, the window was left open, and we heard so much traffic outside. Then we closed the window, and all of that was gone. I loved that!
Now for the downsides: There’s a weird flaw with the shower door—it’s so small, and the door is designed to push in instead of pull, which is strange. The shower head gets stuck on the door, so it’s a bit cramped. We turned on the ”Do Not Disturb” button for our room, and from the outside, you could clearly see it was on properly, but the housekeepers decided to clean our room anyway. Inside our room, it made us feel a bit awkward, as they had a little box with a QR code that sold adult toys and condoms 😶
Other than that, it was a comfortable two-day stay in Yangshuo. I would stay here again. The service at the front desk was nice too—the two ladies were helpful and explained a lot about Yangshuo and the hotel’s amenities. They even helped us book a bus to Guilin train station. They were nice and helpful. Thank you!

PPengtaaleinasiGuilin Lake Hotel boasts an excellent location – a tranquil oasis amidst the bustle, directly facing Guilin Lake's picturesque scenery. The garden setting is serene, and the service is warm and attentive, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel has a great foundation and top-notch views, but unfortunately, the facilities are a bit dated. I sincerely suggest the owners upgrade it to a Holiday Inn Resort. With IHG's standard quality and resort brand experience, it would perfectly suit Guilin's vacation appeal and surely become even more popular and competitive!

GGuest UserStaying at a B&B can feel like a lucky dip, and this time, I hit the jackpot! This guesthouse is right near Observation Deck No. 1, and the owner told me all their rooms have rice paddy views – those photos below were taken from my room. You can even catch the morning mist! The owner is super nice, the room was spotless and tidy, and it even came with a washing machine.
