We were there for a 2 night stay.
Generally the accommodation was decent, the room and environment was clean.
Last but not least, particularly Miss 柳 was very helpful during our stay. After knowing what we wanted, she directed us where to go.
We thanks Miss 柳，she really makes our stay felt interesting and always make our day.
For those who like food, 美食街is the right place.
And staying in this hotel is recommended.

De Vibe: vanaf de tweede aankomst werden we geblokkeerd door de architectuur en het interieur ontwerp.
De Services : een grote dank aan de voorkant, huishoudelijke en restaurantteams. Ze waren zo geduldig en hulpvol met mijn ouderen en mijn toddler. Zelfs met een taalbarrière, hun vriendelijkheid vertaald perfect.
Locatie : ideaal geschikt in de oude stad. Het maakte het zo gemakkelijk te ontdekken met een jonge kind en ouderen.
Waarde : voor het prijsbereik zijn de kwaliteit van de dienstverlening en de schoonheid van het onroerend goed onoverwinnelijk.

We had a wonderful stay at Anmin Hotel. The location was excellent; in the heart of the historic streets; where we could totally immersed ourselves in the architecture and enjoyed shopping and snacking at the streets. The hotel provided butler services to pick up the luggage from taxi drop off (3 min walk away). This was an important factor for me to consider staying here. The hotel itself was beautifully renovated with the historic charms. The room though not very spacious; was cozy and comfortable. Love the bathrobes; the pillows. Bathrooms is well designed. Hotel even provided complimentary Chinese tea service; where we could enjoyed in one of the tea rooms. Breakfast was served in a lovely Chinese style bento and you could choose where to have your breakfast, library or tea room. The staff were all super helpful. Will be back for sure!

The staff were very friendly and kind. One memorable moment was when I bumped into a reception staff member at the laundry area. She noticed that I was having trouble operating the washing machine. Even though I could tell she had already ended her shift, she still took the time to help me. She really didn’t have to, and I’m very grateful for her kindness.
However, there were a couple of issues during my stay. On the first day, I could smell cigarette smoke in my room, which was quite unpleasant. In addition, the room heater didn’t seem to work properly. Even after switching it to heating mode, it continued to blow cold air instead of warm air.
Overall, the staff’s hospitality was excellent, but I hope the hotel can improve on room maintenance and cleanliness to make the stay more comfortable.

Centrally located within Gu Cheng with lots of eateries around! Food is not an issue when you’re around this area and all are good food! I can’t express further how much i love the location. However, it is not really accessible by car so you have to drop outside and walk approximately 300m in to reach the hotel. And I feel they should have more washer and dryer facilities in the premises. All is good and i’ve got nothing to complain about. i love the place, the serenity it provides amidst the buzzing streets and cleanliness they upkeep!

Dit is het pension dat ik na lang zoeken in Xiamen heb gekozen. Het heeft zelfs een kamer met een glijbaan – superleuk! Mijn kind vond het vooral geweldig. De locatie is makkelijk te vinden; het personeel van het pension haalde me zelfs op bij mijn taxi. Er wordt elke ochtend ontbijt geserveerd, dus ik hoefde er zelf niet heen. De receptie bood zelfs attent koffie aan. Het pension heeft ook een wasmachine en droger en gaf ons een klein welkomstcadeautje – zo attent! Ze brachten mijn wasgoed zelfs naar mijn kamer toen ik geen tijd had om het op te halen. Het dakterras is ook geweldig voor foto's. Omdat ik met een baby reisde, hadden ze zelfs een bedhekje neergezet, wat fantastisch was. De locatie is ook uitstekend, op slechts een klein stukje lopen van de voetgangersstraat Zhongshan Road.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLACE! Really lovely atmosphere tucked away nicely in the dense city of Xiamen. Really peaceful at night time. The girl on reception couldn’t have been nicer, she personally showed me around the hotel, gave me food recommendation, a bottle of water and orange juice and just a general lovely chat. Would stay again.

This Southeast Asian homestay specially selected for taking pictures completely exceeded expectations! Large areas of white walls, arched doors and windows, tropical green plants, low saturation retro color matching, no filters directly out of ins wind blockbuster.
Hidden in the alleys of the ancient city, quiet in the middle of noisy, very close to various attractions, no need to take a taxi. The room has excellent lighting, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, the sound insulation is very good, and the night sleeps peacefully. The boss is very caring, and he will respond in time to any needs, and also share the niche punch-in seat. In Quanzhou, you can feel the heritage of the ancient city and the relaxation of the island holiday. I have already recommended it to friends who want to come to Quanzhou!

Het is geweldig. Beneden is een voetgangersstraat. Het is erg handig om uit te gaan. Het is superhandig om naar het strand en de veerboot te gaan. Het is slechts drie bushaltes verwijderd van de universiteit van Xiamen en de Nanputuo-tempel. Het duurt ongeveer een half uur. hotel heeft een trendy nieuwe omgeving en is goed. De handigste plek is boven. Beneden is een Shaxian-snackbar. Het is authentiek, heerlijk en redelijk geprijsd. Het is de moeite waard om aan te bevelen!

De dames en heren bij de receptie zijn erg beleefd. De lobby van het hotel is ruim en licht. De kamer is voorzien van centrale airconditioning, maar het is misschien een beetje oud De badkamer is droog en nat en de kamer is zeer schoon. De locatie van het hotel is goed van de deur is gemiddeld. Soms hoor je het geluid buiten de deur. Maar over het algemeen was het een zeer comfortabele woonervaring.

I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay.
I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me.
I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters.
To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget.
For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms.
Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees.
This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine.
This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit.
It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

SShijianziyouzheI specifically flew to Quanzhou for the local cuisine, so I picked this hotel located on a food street, without breakfast included. It's perfect for solo travelers. There's a great local vermicelli soup shop nearby, which is perfect for breakfast. While the shops on the food street mostly cater to late-night crowds, there are plenty of delicious local specialties in the surrounding blocks. It's in a bustling area with excellent transportation links, making it easy to get to attractions around Zhongshan Street. Even if you're not into sightseeing, staying at the hotel is great too – the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, the lobby on the first floor is quite striking, and the service is very thoughtful. They even let you know in advance if some rooms might be affected by noise at night. It's definitely a hotel with amazing value for money!

Ffernanda9The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. Xiao Bai (the staff) was very nice and upgraded us to a higher room category. Before we left, they even gave our child some small seashells, which was a very thoughtful touch.
The hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the Shacha noodles, which were tastier than any we'd had in the days before arriving on the island. The complimentary lunch included in the package was also very good, though the yellow croaker was a bit small, just one tiny fish.
At the end of September, when tourist traffic wasn't heavy, we arrived on the island at 11 AM. The shuttle service was perfectly arranged, helping us avoid the scorching sun. We later found out that a shuttle ride on the island costs 50 RMB per person, so for our family of three, we saved a good 150 RMB.
Most of the snacks on the island were just okay, but the Dayang Restaurant was quite good.
If you have the time, staying on the island is definitely recommended. You can avoid the midday sun and take your kids to play by the beach in the afternoon. Strolling around the island in the evening makes this a very high-value-for-money place.
Xiamen offers a resort experience similar to Sanya, yet also gives you the illusion of wandering through the streets and alleys of a small Hong Kong or Macau island.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right across from the attractions, and the subway station is just a short walk away, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The front desk staff were all amazing – so gentle, patient, and polite. The room was spotlessly clean too. If I ever visit Fuzhou again, I'll definitely choose this hotel! (By the way, the takeout from Old Fuzhou is delicious!)

AAnonymous UserI usually do not choose homestay when other modes are available. However in Yunshuiyao homestay is the only choice. Given that 1949 has to preserve the local architecture do not expect 5 star hotel facilities. For all the constraints of a ”min su” the staff do go the distance to ensure they meet the demands of guests. I checked out a happy guest and will recommend 1949 to other travelers.

EErererererererererererereryeOur little one wanted to see 'A Yuan's Home,' so we brought the picture book and came to stay. This guesthouse is located within the Tianluokeng Tulou Scenic Area in Nanjing. It's easy to find if you're driving, and personally, I found it even better than the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area – fewer crowds and stunning scenery. It's also very close to Taxia Village, which you can reach by cycling or walking. There, you can visit the 700-year-old Yuchang Lou, famously standing 'crooked but firm,' and grab a meal at the Xiaogqiao Liushui Restaurant. Just a heads-up if you're driving, be mindful of parking restrictions. Getting to Tianluokeng's iconic 'Four Dishes and One Soup' cluster is also super convenient, just a ten-minute drive. The Tulou are truly magnificent!
The guesthouse hostess is incredibly nice, and they have a lovely Golden Retriever named Xiao Chai, who is very friendly and well-behaved. We booked a duplex room with a living area downstairs and the sleeping area upstairs. It even came with a projector, which was a huge bonus! But the real highlight was the in-room washer-dryer combo – such a thoughtful and convenient amenity!
