Ik kwam hier voor het witte zandstrand. Maar het strand is eigenlijk heel vies... gedurende de 5 dagen dat ik hier was, zat er elke dag zoveel zeewier en plastic in het water. Op een dag kon ik zelfs niet zwemmen. Snorkelen is ook niet geweldig.
Het hotel is schoon en netjes. Maar er zijn een paar dingen die me niet bevielen.
1. Geen douches op het strand.
2. De beveiliging doet niets tegen de opdringerige verkopers op het strand. Letterlijk elke 3-5 minuten werd ik afgeleid door locals die iets probeerden te verkopen. Ik kwam hier voor rust en stilte. Dit is echt heel irritant.
3. Ik vroeg bij de receptie of ik mijn telefoon en portemonnee mee naar het strand mocht nemen, maar ze zeiden NEE, dat is niet veilig. Houd al je spullen bij je. Hoe kan ik in zo'n omgeving ontspannen? Wat doet de beveiliging daar dan precies?
4. De prijs van dit hotel is vergelijkbaar met die van Marriott, maar de kwaliteit is niet hetzelfde. Ik heb het gevoel dat er overal op bezuinigd is. Heel dun toiletpapier. Waterige zeep in de badkamer. En het ontbijt... Voor het eerst in mijn leven zag ik kaasplakjes van 2x2 centimeter. Echt waar. Ik heb veel betaald voor dit hotel en wil geen budgetgevoel.
5. Het avondbuffet is niet elke dag open. Ja, het kost niet veel... maar het vlees zat vol graten of was zo moeilijk te kauwen. Wederom dat budgetgevoel 🙄 Was het zo moeilijk om een normaal stuk vlees te pakken? Niet het goedkoopste.
6. Uitchecken om 11 uur... wat? Ik ben in 25 landen en honderden hotels geweest. Dit is de eerste keer dat ik zo vroeg moet uitchecken. Ik vroeg om later uit te checken en kreeg een uur extra. Dus eigenlijk gewoon een normale uitchecktijd. Waanzinnig.
7. De kwaliteit van het drinkwater is erg slecht.
8. Het ijs voor de drankjes is waarschijnlijk gemaakt van kraanwater. Jammer.
9. Ik voel me onder druk gezet door het bordje bij de liften. ”Trappen lopen bevordert een goede gezondheid”. Ik heb een knieblessure, ik kan geen trappen lopen. Heb ik niet genoeg betaald voor de lift? Of willen jullie weer eens op elektriciteit besparen? Waarom staat dit bordje er dan? Weer die bezuinigingsmentaliteit...
Mijn waardering voor deze plek is 6,5/10
Maar heeft het wel zin om hierheen te komen? Het strand is zo vies...

Ik had een geweldig verblijf in het South Palms Resort in Bohol. De locatie, de voorzieningen en de omgeving zijn allemaal topklasse. Wat deze ervaring extra bijzonder maakte was de uitstekende service, vooral van Manager Abie.
Abie was ongelooflijk gedachtevol, responsief en ging uit haar weg om ervoor te zorgen dat alles comfortabel en aangenaam was. Haar professionalisme en warme gastvrijheid zijn zeldzaam en zeer gewaardeerd. Ik zal dit bezoek zeker aan iedereen aanbevelen.

The facilities, location, the foods were all thumbs-up.
However some front desk receptionists were kind od more accommodating and more careful to foreign guests as compared to co filipinos which supposed to be fair regardless of who you are. I suggest more training on this.

• De locatie is onovertroffen: direct aan Alona Beach. Het is heerlijk om letterlijk een paar stappen verderop wakker te worden, met wit zand en helder water.
• De zwembaden zijn prachtig: er is een infinity pool met uitzicht op het strand en er is ook een swim-up bar. De perfecte plek om te ontspannen met een drankje.
• De kamers zijn ruim, schoon en comfortabel. De airconditioning is koel, het bed is zacht en er is een balkon.
• Het personeel is over het algemeen vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is prettig om met hen te praten, vooral in het restaurant en bij het zwembad.

Het was een fantastische vakantie. Kevin van de receptie was geweldig, van aankomst tot vertrek. Hij was erg vriendelijk en efficiënt. Het was een warm welkom. Het personeel in het restaurant was allemaal geweldig. Ontbijt, strandsnack en diner. Ze waren vriendelijk en boden de beste service. De strandwachten en beveiliging (Julio, als ik het me goed herinner) waren erg aardig en hielpen individuele reizigers uitstekend. Bedankt aan de chauffeur van mijn transfer bij vertrek. Ondanks de drukte bleven alle medewerkers glimlachen. Ik heb een geweldige vakantie gehad in de zon en op een prachtig strand bij South Palm Resort! Ik kom zeker snel terug.

uitstekende service. het personeel is attent en vriendelijk. locatie is handig en met toegang tot het winkelcentrum Nustar. mooie, ruime kamer met uitzicht op zee. en ze gaven me zelfs een gratis dessert en een heerlijke verjaardagstaart. ontbijtbuffet heeft een grote spreiding en allemaal goed. Over het algemeen hadden we een geweldig verblijf en ik kijk ernaar uit om hier binnenkort weer te verblijven.

Het personeel was vriendelijk en sprak geen goed Engels, dus ik was dankbaar dat ze op me bleven wachten! Het zwembad was diep en mooi, dus ik wilde nog een keer gaan! De airconditioner is geweldig en er is een extra sleutel, zodat je hem aan kunt houden en terug kunt komen! Als je ergens heen wilt, moet je Grab gebruiken, maar het is dichterbij, dus het kost niet veel geld! Als ik doucht, ruikt het water een beetje naar een stranddouche, dus ik wil de volgende keer een douchefilter proberen.

Dit hotel geboekt omdat de locatie zeer goed is. Direct ernaast ligt het Ayala Centre Cebu Mall, wat erg handig is om te winkelen. Landers ligt ook op 5-6 minuten lopen.
Check-in was een makkie, hoewel ik 30 minuten moest wachten voordat mijn kamer klaar was. Ik was blij dat ze aan mijn verzoek voldeden: hoge verdieping met uitzicht, veel kussens en kamerslippers. Badjassen zijn niet direct beschikbaar, maar u kunt er wel een aanvragen.
Het ontwerp van de kamer was gedateerd, maar het was schoon. Klein waren kleine vlekken in het beddengoed. Alleen een telefoondouche, in tegenstelling tot de meeste 3-4-sterrenhotels die zowel telefoon- als regendouches hebben. Ook zitten de shampoo, body wash en conditioner gewoon in kleine flesjes, het liefst in een dispenser. Handdoeken zijn niet zo zacht, maar niet te hard. TV heeft alleen kabel, geen mogelijkheid om de smart TV functie te gebruiken. Kabelkanalen zijn redelijk. Internetten is ook goed. Zwembad was klein. Selectie bij het ontbijt was teleurstellend voor de prijs.

GGuest UserWe had a great 5-night stay at Henann Tawala and would rate it 4.5 stars. The hotel is very modern and offers good value for money — in fact, it was our favorite among the three Henann resorts in the area, even compared to the flagship.
We stayed in a room with a pool view, which was really nice and added to the overall relaxing experience. The room was comfortable and well designed, with a bathtub as well.
Staff were friendly and helpful, although not every aspect feels fully 5 star. Breakfast was decent but the selection is smaller compared to international 5-star hotel chains.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend Henann Tawala.

JJeffrey0210We chose to stay here a day early after our Bohol vacation because we didn't want to wake up early for the ferry to Cebu Airport. It's about a 50-minute drive from the Cebu pier and 30 minutes from the airport, so the transportation is quite decent.
The environment lives up to Sheraton's quality. The hotel seems relatively new, so the facilities are very well maintained, and the views are absolutely stunning. Our room type had two 1.3-meter double beds, perfect for two adults and two children, with one adult sharing a bed with one child. The bathroom is spacious and clearly partitioned, with a well-designed shower, toilet, bathtub, vanity, and storage. The bedroom lighting is excellent, and the night light is a definite plus – just enough light for adults to browse their phones after the kids are asleep without waking them up.
Now, for a complaint about the food. We had the dinner buffet at 5cien, and it was, without a doubt, the worst buffet I've ever had. Not a single dish was to my taste. The selection wasn't extensive to begin with, and then the food itself was just bad. It really doesn't justify the price of approximately 235 RMB per person. I tried everything, and it was practically inedible and a waste of ingredients. In the end, I had no choice but to eat the steamed dishes, but even those felt a bit undercooked. Because of that evening's experience, my expectations for breakfast the next day were very low. I didn't dare to hope for anything good, just ate a little and quickly checked out. Breakfast was slightly better than dinner, but that's about all I can say.

My sunset time was never wasted with happy tummy and unlimited wine, beers etc.Ma’am Divinagracia ground staff and all the staffs of the property for the respect and hospitality in each corner of the resort! This is the best among the best 5 star ⭐ hotels I’ve been staying so far! No doubt and definitely I’ll come back! All the kind gestures of all the staffs are appreciated! Kudos to the Team👏👏👏

MMeihuizzzzThe entire resort consists of 1-2 story buildings, giving it a real vacation vibe away from the bustling city. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. You do have to be patient with the slower service, like dishes being served, which is common in the Philippines, but then again, we were there to enjoy a 'slow-paced life.' If you want your room cleaned quickly, you'll need to call the front desk specifically, otherwise, it typically won't be done until after 3 PM.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a giant family playground! The kids' pool has slides, and they provide all the sand toys for free on the beach. There are daily kids' activities (coral planting/craft classes), and my child loved it so much they didn't want to leave. The Ocean Wing rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the balcony with sea views is incredibly therapeutic. The staff are super patient with children, there's a dedicated kids' section at breakfast, and the private beach is safe and clean. It's also close to the airport, so no hassle, and the whole family was happy!

JJpg ZanoriaOur stay at Dusit Thani was overall pleasant. The rooms were comfortable, the property was well-maintained, and the general ambiance met our expectations for a relaxing stay.
However, the check-in experience was quite challenging. I was not physically present during check-in as my family arrived ahead of me. Despite sending an email and making a call to authorize them, the front desk did not allow my family to check in on my behalf. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and delay.
While I understand the importance of security, the process felt overly rigid and left me uncomfortable with the lack of flexibility and trust extended to guests, especially for pre-booked and confirmed reservations with clear communication.
For guests booking multiple rooms or arriving separately, I strongly recommend registering the actual guests who will be staying in each room in advance to avoid similar issues.
Overall, the stay itself was enjoyable, but I hope the hotel can improve its check-in procedures to be more guest-friendly while still maintaining security.

AAnna Maria Stephanie OlssonWe recently stayed at Coco Grove Beach Resort and overall had a mixed experience.
The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming throughout our stay, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel taken care of. Their hospitality is definitely one of the highlights of the resort.
However, there were several maintenance issues that affected our comfort. Many of the pathways around the property were heavily overgrown with plants, which made walking less pleasant and also attracted a lot of insects. The lack of proper trimming also blocked what could otherwise be beautiful sea views, which was quite disappointing given the location.
On our first night, we unfortunately woke up to a gigantic spider in our room, which had to be removed by staff. This seemed to be due to poor sealing around the main and terrace doors. It made it difficult to fully relax during the rest of our stay, as we were constantly aware that insects could get in.
The lady in the reception mentioned there was a barbecue buffet on the first day of our arrival. As we came to the restaurant, it was not a buffet but à la carte. Even the restaurant staff seemed annoyed as it seems we were not the first guests to question why “buffet” was mentioned.
We also experienced repeated issues with the bathroom facilities. The toilet became clogged easily, regardless of whether we used paper or not, and the showerhead was heavily limescaled, resulting in very weak water pressure. In addition, there appeared to be mould above the air conditioning unit, which was concerning from a maintenance perspective.
The toilet roll holder was broken, but not fixed, just “put into place again”, but still being broken.
The holder for the towels was also broken and very crooked. All of these things needs to be fixed and maintained, and it gave us an impression that nothing will be fixed unless someone complains about it. There seems to be very little maintenance of the rooms.
While the setting and potential of the resort are beautiful, these issues suggest that more attention to upkeep and preventative maintenance would greatly improve the guest experience.

GGuest UserWow - Super hotel. Best hotel I have visited in years. Staff polite, efficient and attentive in a polite way. Room was very large, with some free mini cookies and a few free juices. Food and drinks reasonable. Breakfast had a great range of food. The steak at the restaurant was super They even notified breakfast group I could not take milk. Lots of couples but as a solo traveller felt cared about. From start to finish flawless. Even twice a week one hour of free cocktails. When it rains the staff already start wiping down tables and once eases gardeners are out sweeping the leaves off the pathways to help maintain its beautiful appearance. Seriously impressed

Yyichen1203We had a pleasant stay at Henann Premier Coast Resort and truly appreciated the hospitality throughout our visit. One thing that stood out was how welcoming and friendly the staff were — every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly and made us feel comfortable during our stay.
We also arranged the hotel’s transfer service between the seaport and hotel. Although the price is charged per person and may feel slightly expensive, the service quality definitely made it worthwhile, especially after a tiring journey. Special thanks to Garry for the warm welcome and assistance. I didn’t manage to catch the names of the other staff members, but everyone at the lobby area was very accommodating and professional.
The hotel itself is in a strategic location, directly in front of Alona Beach, making it very convenient for travelers. The facilities were great as well — we especially loved the beautiful pools, including the rooftop sky pool with a stunning sunset view.
Breakfast had a wide variety of choices, and we particularly enjoyed the salad section. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and suitable for a relaxing stay.
Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend Henann for its hospitality, facilities, and convenient location.
