Het was een goede accommodatie-ervaring. Ik verbleef hier tijdens mijn eerste nacht in Colombo. Ik ben een reiziger. Voordat ik er verbleef, zag ik online zeer slechte beoordelingen van dit hotel Misschien waren er te veel klachten en is het daarna verbeterd?
Ik woon op de 23e verdieping. Het uitzicht is redelijk goed. Het moet als een hoge verdieping worden beschouwd. Er is een overloopzwembad en een bar op de bovenverdieping het menu is niet de daadwerkelijk betaalde prijs.
Het in- en uitchecken ging erg snel. Ik heb geen ontbijt in het hotel gegeten, maar ik heb een kopje koffie gedronken in de lobby en naar het landschap buiten het raam gekeken. Het is niet goedkoop, maar het is het waard.
Ik heb dit hotel vele malen op Ctrip geboekt. Veiligheid! Het hotel is zeer groots en de service is eersteklas! Het ontbijt heeft een verscheidenheid aan variëteiten, vooral het verse fruit is veel en zoet, en het kokossap is geweldig?
De hotelfaciliteiten zijn compleet en het restaurant is geweldig! Het is gewoon westers eten. Er is een Kantonees restaurant binnen een kilometer van de omgeving, geopend door een Noordooster. De inrichting en smaak zijn goed, en de prijs is betaalbaar. Het behoort tot de binnenstad en heeft handig vervoer! Uber is zo handig, Sri Lanka is een geweldige plek om te reizen
My room smelled like sewage, a strong smell that literally made me sick on a daily. The staff tried to dampen the smell by throwing liquids down the drain, but once you use the taps, the smell is back again. Ive seen reviews about the smell, but thought it was temporary issue at the time it was written. The curtains are visibly dirty and in need of a simple wash. Other than that the room is spacious the aircon works well.
The view is beautiful with the trains passing daily against the ocean waves. Big spoon restaurant is s few steps away serving massive portions- a must try. Tuktuks and taxi are also parked right infront of the hotel. Hopefully the sewage smell can be resolved soon...its a good hotel but that smell will never make me book it again.
We stayed two nights and had a very nice stay. Location, room and staff were excellent. The only gripe was getting woken up at 3am on the morning of 31st December to workers setting up the hotel’s outdoor New Year’s Eve event. Crazy that someone thought that was okay to do.
Het hotel had inderdaad een stroomstoring... Het was na 11 uur pikdonker in de kamer... We namen contact op met de receptie en wachtten lang voordat er iemand kwam om het probleem op te lossen. Het probleem werd snel opgelost, maar de efficiëntie was zorgwekkend, wachten in het donker.
The hotel was nice overall, but the soundproofing was an issue. We stayed in a connecting room and could clearly hear activities from next door, TG I have ear plugs haha

Our family of three checked into the hotel during the first week of May 2025. Unfortunately, our overall experience was underwhelming. Room service was disappointing, our order was incorrect, and we chose not to send it back as we assumed it would take a long time to receive the correct one. It also took three separate calls just to receive the room service menu.
Additionally, we were charged for ice despite having an active room service food bill, which felt unreasonable. When we inquired about evening entertainment (Friday eve), the front desk assured us a live band would be performing, but this never happened.
It appeared the resort seems to operate with minimal staff, which may explain the drop in service quality. On a positive note, we were warmly welcomed by a great host at check-in, and the barman at the pool bar made excellent cocktails and provided friendly service. Hopefully, this could be just a rare slip-up.
They’re good, and their service is also good. But their online response is very bad. I didn't get any response to when I texted and called them, as I had some queries.
But their hospitality is very good.
And food is also tasty.

Bed was super comfy.
Groundsman was super good showed us a cool out of the way place to sit and watch the ocean. He also bought us each a coconut to drink.

From the very first moment, you sense its special atmosphere—a place with history, character, and its own unique atmosphere. The ocean view is simply incredible, one of those that stays in your memory for a long time. The sound of the waves, the sunsets, and the overall sense of space and air create a feeling of relaxation and fulfillment.
The hotel grounds are pleasant and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I'd especially like to highlight the location—it's truly exceptional and one of its main advantages.
At the same time, there's a feeling that the hotel lacks some consistency in its service and attention to detail. In places, it feels like this space has much greater potential than it currently has. This doesn't completely ruin the experience, but it does create a slight contrast between the atmosphere and the level of service.
Overall, this is a place with a beautiful soul, strong energy, and a unique location. With a more attentive and refined approach to service, it could be truly outstanding.

GGuest UserThe room was great, but it's the rainy season now, so it's very humid. Being so close to the sea made it even more so. The service was impeccable, though I was surprised to see people making the staff serve them at the self-service breakfast. It's like they thought spending money made them royalty, so I tipped the staff who served me. Lying on my balcony looking at the sea was such a pleasure. The TV in the room had everything I wanted to watch, which was amazing. With some music on, just watching the sea and zoning out was pure bliss.
IIan LagacLocation is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious.
Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready.
Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait.
Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating.
Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool.
Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people.
Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.
GGuest UserOverall, I had a really nice stay at this hotel. The highlight for me was definitely the view. I had a room overlooking the ocean, and waking up to that scenery every day was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was lovely as well clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and furnished to a high standard.
The location is great in many ways, but there is one thing worth mentioning. The hotel is right next to a train station, which unfortunately can be quite noisy. I’m a light sleeper, and I often woke up when trains arrived, especially late at night or early in the morning because of the warning sounds. I ended up using white noise to help me sleep. If you're only staying for a night or two, it probably won't bother you much, but for a longer stay it may be something to consider.
I didn't get a chance to use the facilities, but I did have a look at the rooftop bar and swimming pool, and both looked fantastic with amazing views.
The breakfast was probably the weakest part of my experience. I only had it once and then decided to explore some of the nearby cafés instead. Honestly, I enjoyed those much more, and it was a nice way to discover the area.
As for the service, the staff were always polite and helpful, but they seemed quite stretched. Whenever I called for assistance, it usually took around 30 to 40 minutes, and sometimes I had to follow up. That said, it wasn't something that really upset me or took away from the overall experience.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The beautiful room, stunning ocean views, and overall atmosphere made it a memorable experience.

Breakfast was extremely diverse, and a server was eager to make local Sri Lankan recommendations which I really appreciated.
