Hotels met breakfast in Nagano Prefecture, Japan

"Op de foto's zag het er vrij eenvoudig uit, maar in werkelijkheid was het beter dan verwacht. Het is ongeveer 7 minuten lopen vanaf het JR-station. Je moet wel een voetgangersbrug oversteken, maar er is een lift, dus met bagage is het geen probleem. De omgeving is een woonwijk, niet echt een winkelgebied, maar wel op loopafstand van een winkelgebied. 's Nachts is het er erg rustig. De kamer is niet groot, maar er passen comfortabel twee koffers van 60 cm in. Vanuit het raam heb je uitzicht op besneeuwde bergen in de verte. Het bed en de kussens zijn aan de stevige kant, maar acceptabel. De badkamer is redelijk schoon; hij wordt niet dagelijks schoongemaakt bij opeenvolgende verblijven, maar er hangen wel schone handdoeken aan de deurknop. Het restaurant bevindt zich op de 14e verdieping. Het ontbijt is niet te vergelijken met dat van een vijfsterrenhotel, maar voor een budgethotel is het prima, met een behoorlijke variatie aan opties, waaronder zowel Japanse als westerse gerechten. Het restaurant kijkt uit op de besneeuwde bergen in de verte, zodat u tijdens het ontbijt van het uitzicht kunt genieten, wat erg prettig is."

"This was a last minute selection on the train from Tokyo, but the right one. It's a short 5 minute walk from the Nagano station and has spacious rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, but best of all, on arrival you are given a welcome drink and dessert of your choice. The entire place seems to be obsessed with desserts, to my liking. They also provides free ice cream and upon check out, bags of candy and cookies. Maybe it's a Christmas promotion, but a welcome surprise. The breakfast is a bit expensive, but has a nice selection of food choices, including salmon, more desserts, and various Japanese food. I only stayed one night, but I believe they have an onsen and other amenities. Well worth it. I stayed in other hotels in Nagano, and this one was superior."

"The hotel is nestled in the mountains, and the morning views from our rooms were absolutely breathtaking. On a few mornings with light drizzle, a mist swirled around the mountains, making it feel like we were living among the clouds. There was just one minor issue: the hotel initially wanted to charge 300 yen per person per day simply because it offers a public bath. As I’m not comfortable using such facilities, I didn’t visit the bath at all. However, at checkout, I was surprised to see an additional charge of over 1,000 yen for my family on the invoice. Although the amount was small, it didn’t seem fair to be charged for a facility we didn’t use. After I raised this concern, the front desk manager stepped in and kindly waived the fee. Aside from this slight issue, my stay was wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable."

"My husband and I spent one night here as part of our honeymoon, and it was such a memorable and unique experience. We took the local bus up and only had to walk a few minutes before reaching the place. The hotel was beautiful, peaceful, clean, and quiet. We booked a private onsen and it was well worth every penny. We also added the dinner and breakfast package, and each of the meals were delicious. Such a special experience that I would highly recommend to anyone who has the opportunity. Also, make sure to try the local apples!"

"I had a very positive experience at Hotel New Nagano Next. Even though we only stayed for one night, everything went smoothly. The hotel offers one of the most complete selections of amenities I’ve seen, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful, although their English skills were a bit limited. Despite this, communication wasn’t an issue, and they did their best to assist us. I’d definitely consider booking this hotel again without hesitation. A solid choice for anyone visiting Nagano!"

"We stayed at this hotel in Nagano as a family of three for two nights. The location was very convenient, with the MRT and bus station just nearby, making it easy to get to Snow Monkey Park and other areas. The service was fine—nothing extravagant, but acceptable and efficient. One downside was that the toilet had a slightly unpleasant smell, which could be improved. There is a 7-Eleven close to the hotel, which was handy, but for good local food, you’ll need to walk a bit farther, as most of the eateries are located on the other side of the hotel. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and we have no major complaints since we didn’t spend much time in the hotel itself. It’s a decent option if you’re mainly looking for accessibility and convenience while exploring Nagano."
