We zijn met mijn ouders overgestapt van het Andaz naar het Swissôtel. Mijn ouders vonden dat het Swissôtel veel uitgebreidere faciliteiten had, inclusief een sauna bij het zwembad. Het water was op de juiste temperatuur en het zwembad was groot genoeg. Ik wil vooral het ontbijt in het Xin Nan Xuan op de derde verdieping van het hotel prijzen; de kwaliteit was zelfs beter dan de meeste dim sum in Guangdong. Er was 's nachts een vervelend incident op de parkeerplaats tijdens ons verblijf, maar gelukkig heeft het hotel ons tijdig geïnformeerd, zodat onze plannen voor de volgende dag niet werden beïnvloed. De hygiëne van het hotel was niet zo slecht als in sommige recensies vermeld; voor een hotel dat al vele jaren open is, waren de staat van de kamers en de hygiëne uitstekend.

Centrally located within Gu Cheng with lots of eateries around! Food is not an issue when you’re around this area and all are good food! I can’t express further how much i love the location. However, it is not really accessible by car so you have to drop outside and walk approximately 300m in to reach the hotel. And I feel they should have more washer and dryer facilities in the premises. All is good and i’ve got nothing to complain about. i love the place, the serenity it provides amidst the buzzing streets and cleanliness they upkeep!

We had a fantastic stay at the Kempinski and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The hotel is perfectly located, with a stunning view of the lake, which was especially enchanting at night. Watching the moonlight dance on the water while relaxing at the hotel was truly magical.
The staff were so warm and accommodating, but we’d like to give a special mention to Scott. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his friendly nature really made us feel at home.
Breakfast was a real treat. The buffet had a great variety of options, and we were always excited to see what was on offer each morning. We particularly loved the apple oatmeal – it became a must-have for us during our stay!
One of the highlights of the trip was strolling around the lake together. It was so peaceful and refreshing, and the scenic walk added such a lovely touch to our mornings.
All in all, our stay at Kempinski was perfect. We left feeling relaxed, well-fed, and grateful for the amazing service and beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with top-notch service and views to match!

We were there for a 2 night stay.
Generally the accommodation was decent, the room and environment was clean.
Last but not least, particularly Miss 柳 was very helpful during our stay. After knowing what we wanted, she directed us where to go.
We thanks Miss 柳，she really makes our stay felt interesting and always make our day.
For those who like food, 美食街is the right place.
And staying in this hotel is recommended.

We had stayed in Fuzhou Lakeside Hotel for 4 nights and then extended for another 2 nights. The Executive Floor rooms are spacious, well maintained and with good views. The many value added services that came with the Executive Room was a very pleasant surprise. These included daily access to the Exec Lounge for high tea and happy hour, one piece of free laundry per day, free mini bar drinks and daily fruit platter (both replenished daily). The service staff stationed on the Executive Floor is efficient, responsive and always ready to greet us with a cheerful smile. The hotel is just next to West Lake and cane be conveniently access via access gate to the broadwalk.
Will highly recommend this hotel especially the Executive Rooms.

De dames en heren bij de receptie zijn erg beleefd. De lobby van het hotel is ruim en licht. De kamer is voorzien van centrale airconditioning, maar het is misschien een beetje oud De badkamer is droog en nat en de kamer is zeer schoon. De locatie van het hotel is goed van de deur is gemiddeld. Soms hoor je het geluid buiten de deur. Maar over het algemeen was het een zeer comfortabele woonervaring.

There’s a link way to the park with jogging track and river view. One can begin the day with a refreshing walk. The hotel is location at a serene spot.
We are upgraded to a bigger room with splendid view, where we managed to catch the beautiful sunrise.
The hotel staff are all very attentive and helpful. We appreciate all the details included to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We even could request for special pillow.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Strongly recommended.

Excellent
RRRRaayyyOne of the best hotels in Xiamen! The location might seem a bit out of the way, but taking a taxi to attractions usually only adds about ten minutes due to less traffic. Plus, it's right next to the Sailing Center, making sea excursions super convenient. Personally, I usually book hotels for just one day on my first stay, but after experiencing this one, I think staying at The Seven for 2-3 days would be perfect for a Xiamen trip. For the remaining time, I'd choose the Lujiang Hotel and Conrad, otherwise, it might get a bit boring as there aren't many dining options around Wuyuan Bay 😿.
The room's hardware is exceptional, with many features reaching top-tier quality. There's a huge PG bathtub, and the blackout curtains are fantastic – you can make the room completely dark even during the day. The bedding comfort is truly astonishing; the high-thread-count cotton feels almost like silk, and both the duvet and pillows are incredibly fluffy and soft. I was genuinely surprised by how good the bedding was 😻.
The spa's hot pools are also quite interesting and a must-try during your stay. There are three hot pools, one massage pool, and one cold plunge pool. The massage pool offers five functions, all of which are quite powerful 😼.
It's also worth mentioning that the butler service is excellent. Their response time is very quick, and they do their best to assist guests. Special thanks to Molly, our butler for this stay 😺.
Regarding breakfast, although online reviews aren't the best, I personally found it quite good, at least in terms of variety. They offer special Americano coffees, the pastry section is delicious, and the hot food area has many Fujian specialty dishes. The à la carte black truffle scrambled eggs were also very good 👍.
From my personal experience, there were two minor drawbacks. One is that while the in-room soundproofing is great, noises from outside the door can be heard. If neighboring guests are noisy when returning to their rooms, it might be a bit bothersome, but it didn't affect me personally 🤔. The other is that some of the individually sealed bottled water is a bit difficult to open. Other than that, I didn't encounter any issues.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied with the hotel's location, breakfast, and overall accommodation.
However, there are two points I was less happy with:
1. The room had a musty smell. I was told this is a common issue with old buildings, and a major renovation would be needed to fix it, so the problem persists.
2. The cheongsam experience was not good. When I arrived at the changing room at my reserved time, there was no one there to assist me. Only another guest's butler was waiting to take photos. When I asked for advice on clothing sizes, they couldn't offer any suggestions. I wanted to try on a few pieces to see which fit best, but was told I couldn't – I could only hold them up to a mirror to decide. But for a well-tailored garment like a cheongsam, how can you know if the size is right without trying it on? After a brief exchange, the person immediately went back to photographing their guest, completely ignoring me. I called my own butler but no one answered (they later replied saying they only start work in the afternoon, which made me wonder if we only got half-day service because we were checking out the next day. I was quite annoyed at the time, but this butler's service the day before had been excellent, so I decided not to pursue it further).

At first glance, you might even mistake it for one of the old mansions! The 'Fuzhou' stone at the entrance and the walls covered in firecracker flowers draw plenty of people for photos.
They offer exclusive, special services: delicate snacks, fresh fruit, and a warming, small alcoholic drink.
**Room Facilities**: The rooms are entirely Chinese-style. The elegant peony mural above the bed, symbolizing 'spring filling the garden,' and the black-themed furniture are arranged very comfortably.
**Value for Money**: Overall, Fuzhou hotel prices offer good value. Coming back from Chaozhou, the difference in room quality for the same price is quite significant, so I think the value here is really high.
**Breakfast**: Served at the restaurant directly opposite. While the variety isn't huge, it includes local specialties like oyster omelets and 'Laohua' (a local noodle soup). I heard it used to be at another Michelin-starred restaurant – I hope they can switch back to that one next time!
**Bed**: Large and comfortable.
**Hygiene**: Clean.
**Parking**: There's a dedicated parking lot, but since the entire scenic area has stone slab paths, pushing a suitcase is a bit inconvenient. Also, cars can't reach the hotel entrance directly, so you have to walk a bit. Our driver wasn't familiar with the area, which led to a longer detour, making it quite inconvenient.
**Room View**: Opening the wooden lattice windows, you see ancient, quaint surrounding walls.
**Location & Transportation**: Right in the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys scenic area. For going out, entering from Tonghu Road is more convenient.
**Service**: I felt at ease as soon as I arrived. The uncle at the door carried all my luggage to the room and gave very detailed instructions and explanations. I even thought he was the owner! [Thumbs Up] The most thoughtful touch was the preserved plums – they were quite tasty. However, on the second day, the uncle only placed my luggage outside. If it could have been taken all the way to the roadside, I think the service would have been even more exceptional.
**Bathroom Facilities**: Bright and spotless, with a powerful shower.
The hotel's facilities and decor are all very ancient and elegant, exuding a tranquil charm. Looking at the large koi, I feel like I could spend an entire day just in the hotel.

GGuest UserOverall, my stay at the Shangri-La Xiamen was very satisfying.
The hotel offers a great range of complimentary facilities, including a well-equipped swimming pool and gym. The service quality definitely met five-star standards, with staff being both warm and professional. The room was clean and comfortable, and the dining options were diverse, with a rich variety for breakfast – a truly satisfying experience.
The only slight disappointment was the sea view. While I could indeed see the ocean, a bridge construction project was also prominently visible from the window, making the entire sea view seem rather monotonous and not quite living up to the expansive and beautiful seascape I had anticipated. I hope the hotel can accurately describe the current sea view situation when introducing room types, allowing guests to have more precise expectations.
Aside from that, everything else was satisfactory, and it remains a highly recommended luxury accommodation option in Xiamen.

TTaffy4456I first heard about Linggan Hotel through an article by Teacher Maori and immediately bookmarked it as a great B&B. When I had the chance to travel to Xiamen during the off-season at the end of the year, I booked a king-size room at Linggan the day after I booked my flight.
I chose the Sanqiutian Pier for the ferry, as Baidu Maps showed it was closer to the B&B. After getting off the pier, it was just over a 10-minute walk to the property. The B&B has a rather large courtyard, and its location offers a peaceful retreat while being close to both Piano Pier and Longtou Road. My favorite spot was the small balcony seating at the end of the corridor; enjoying a cup of coffee from the downstairs cafe and soaking up the sun in the afternoon was simply delightful. The room decor was minimalist, but all essential amenities were provided, showing great attention to detail. The large bathtub even came with a perfectly sized liner. In the evening, playing some favorite music on the in-room Bose Bluetooth speaker was just perfect.
The breakfast on the second day was a set meal, very generous and delicious. You could choose to enjoy it in the cafe downstairs or in the outdoor garden. Both the auntie and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I hope the prices don't increase too much during peak season, as I truly want to come back again!

GGuest UserA day before our arrival, the housekeeper sent us a detailed message with all sorts of tips and information. They covered everything, even asking if we were traveling with children so they could prepare special toiletries and toys for them. The swimming pool had free water guns and kayaks, and the lobby offered free Hanfu for photo ops. When I arrived, I saw a lovely young lady waiting for us in the parking lot – it turned out to be Xiao Shi, who I had been communicating with. This seemingly delicate girl actually helped us with our luggage and guided us to our room, which was incredibly thoughtful. What's more, when my sister left her cosmetics in the room, Xiao Shi contacted me immediately and even delivered them to our door! Such a dedicated personal butler definitely deserves a bonus! Thank you, Xiao Shi!

JJ XuLijiazhuang Hotel is hidden in a quiet corner of Gulangyu Island, with a clean and elegant environment and a perfect geographical location. Its historical atmosphere and architectural beauty interweave a restrained and rich aura, which is impressive.
The room we stayed in was warm and elegant, and it was one of my favorite spaces on this trip.
The service is even more exemplary. The housekeepers Xiao Chen and Xiao Wang are thoughtful and patient, and respond quickly, truly achieving ”details are service”.
Such a hotel with great care and full of emotions, with good user experience and a deep reputation foundation, fully has the sustainable advantage of leveraging trust and building long-term customer assets.
The future is promising. Bravo!

Because it was booked on short notice, the price would be slightly higher than some group buying platforms. I stayed in a garden twin room, but I could see the sea from the side of the balcony. The room was pretty good. It has been open for about seven or eight years, right? It's a little old, but it's still the best hotel in this area. Many people who come here to stay are family outings. You can borrow bicycles and kites to play at the beach, but the weather is hot and you can't play for too long. The hotel doesn't have any indoor entertainment activities or public swimming pools to play in the water. Fortunately, a small tent painting set was given so that you can kill time in the room. It would be even better if more children's play facilities were added! There is a coastal defense park nearby, and you can also go to the Senqiu Farm on Shuangyu Island to feed the small animals. If you are a little further away, you can drive 20 minutes to Shima to eat and eat. The two-day and one-night itinerary is just right. 👻
