Nestled in the Dongsi Sitiao Hutong, this hotel boasts an authentic Beijing-style entrance. I arrived during a heavy downpour, and the front desk staff graciously offered shelter. When it was time to check in later that afternoon, my room wasn't quite ready. To avoid any wait, Ally, Wendy, and Iris kindly upgraded my room and personally showed me to it. They pointed out a tree in the courtyard reportedly planted by Mr. Ji Xiaolan himself, explained the rooftop terrace hours, and even reminded me about the complimentary snacks at the bar. Later that evening, a welcome fruit platter was left right outside my door. Overall, it was a fantastic stay – I'll definitely be back!

Upon checking in, Miss Zoe at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic. When I asked about upgrading my room type, she immediately and proactively helped me check and change it, quickly finding me a room with a better view. She was patient and polite throughout our conversation, very efficient, and took the initiative to explain the hotel facilities. Her attention to detail showed thoughtful service, and she was serious and responsible in addressing guest needs. She's an excellent front desk staff member! 👍

The location of CitiGO Hotel Sanyuanqiao Beijing is definitely a plus. It's just a few hundred meters from Sanyuanqiao Subway Station, making it very convenient to get around. The hotel's overall decor is simple and stylish, and the rooms are clean and refreshing, with very comfortable bedding. They offer a gym, laundry room, and even provide late-night snacks, which is great for business travelers. The staff are friendly and check-in was efficient. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

This location was ideal for my short layover. Conveniently located adjacent to Beijing Capital International Airport, it offers virtually every amenity you could imagine. The value is also excellent considering what you save by taking advantage of the complimentary airport shuttle service. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding hospitality. I ordered room service, and the food arrived hot, delicious, reasonably priced, and surprisingly high quality. Breakfast was another highlight—I highly recommend adding it to your stay, whether you dine in the restaurant or enjoy it from the comfort of your room. I especially want to recognize Deane at the guest services desk. Exceptional customer service is becoming increasingly rare, and Deane reminded me what genuine hospitality looks like. When I needed a little extra time before checking out, he patiently listened to my request, helped me work through my admittedly imperfect Chinese, and went above and beyond by arranging a special accommodation that allowed me to remain in my room beyond the standard checkout time. At no point did I feel rushed or like an inconvenience. Instead, I felt genuinely welcomed as a guest. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help transformed what could have been a stressful travel day into a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Employees like Deane are a tremendous asset to any hotel, and he deserves recognition for the positive impression he leaves on guests. This personalized level of customer care is exactly why I would recommend this hotel to anyone flying into or out of Beijing, and why I will absolutely stay here again. I’ve attached a few photos I took during my visit. A special note for families with children: you would be hard-pressed to find a better airport hotel. Between the family rooms, swimming pool, breakfast buffet, and evening dining options—including pizza, burgers, and other Western favorites—there is plenty to keep children happy while creating memorable family experiences. 10/10. Our weekend self-drive trip to Club Med Joyview Yanqing Resort exceeded our expectations! Backing onto Songshan Mountain, the air is fresh, and the resort's lawns and flower fields make for perfect photo opportunities. A leisurely stroll through the grounds is incredibly therapeutic. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the heated pool has excellent water quality, making water activities very relaxing. The buffet offers a rich variety of dishes, both Chinese and Western, and the desserts are delicious. The G.O staff are friendly, and the activities are plentiful: rock climbing, archery, kids' club, and the evening stage shows create a fantastic atmosphere. A special shout-out to Suna for her thoughtful service, always interacting and reminding us of the activity schedule – she's awesome! The all-inclusive package saved us so much hassle; no need to plan, just pure relaxation. It's perfectly suited for a short family getaway. Highly recommended!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The air conditioning worked very well with no strange noises. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making check-in and check-out quick. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

Traveling with family to Beijing, staying near Wangfujing was convenient. The hotel's brand, ambiance, and breakfast were all excellent. We booked an Executive Forbidden City View room specifically to see the golden roofs of the Forbidden City. The sunset views were amazing! You could also see the White Dagoba at Jingshan Park. On our second night, the front desk helped us move to a higher floor with a better view. We stayed for two consecutive nights and were very satisfied overall! 😀

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by luxury shops, making it very convenient to get around. The Mandarin Oriental's attention to detail is superb. The understated luxury and 'old money' vibe are precisely my style. The vanity room is spacious, and they prepared welcome fruits and snacks, a bottle of red wine, and even pear soup, along with a beautifully written welcome letter. It truly made me feel right at home. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, with fresh, organic ingredients and amazing flavors. I even had breakfast alongside the Russian ambassador at the next table! Sipping a coffee with a Forbidden City latte art design on the large terrace overlooking the Forbidden City, I truly experienced a taste of royal life. So happy! 😃

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile.
