"First stay at this new hotel in Ipoh and we are pleasantly surprised by the comfort. Location is walking distance to downtown for lots of great food and souvenir shopping. The bed in the room is great for a goodnight sleep. For hotel of this class we didn’t expect much amenities but surprised that most things are provided for comfort of guest. Even bathrobe!
The areas for improvement are:
1. Water leakage from the shower made the toilet floor constantly wet. Design default that I hope can be rectified.
2. Checkout reception was so strict with sop. Late check out. No. Umbrella. No. Everything is a no, don’t think they are properly trained in hospitality management. Management order over guest satisfaction is how they operate. No help with luggage with the guard standing to look on. Not very nice welcome.
3. Housekeeping didn’t clean the room. Had to call at 4pm for cleaning to be done. Reception accused us for putting on the no disturb sign. No apology just mere mention that they will contact housekeeping when we insisted that we switched “please clean room” sign since morning. We met the cleaner who was much nicer than the reception staff.
For a no frill stay, this hotel is nice and quiet but some may not like the fact that it’s beside funeral parlour."

"Me and my cousin had a pleasant stay here. The receptionist is very friendly and kind, she recommended us the famous local food (hainan chicken rice) and addressed any of our questions. Though the hotel and room interior is a bit old, but it’s clean & the bathroom is spacious, i think they just renovated it. The hotel is strategic and walking distance to Gerbang Malam."

GGuest UserThe hotel is very well located, close to everything. I really liked the vibe; it was different from what I'm used to. The hotel was clean, and the manager was very welcoming and friendly. The only minor drawback is the soundproofing – early in the morning, you can hear noise from outside, like cars and people talking. Despite this small issue, I still recommend this hotel. I think it offers the best value for money in the area.

EemisueStayed there after a long and exhausting event. I chose it primarily as a place to shower, rest, sleep and write some reports, and it served that purpose well.
Booking was a breeze, and the hotel is very easy to locate. They use a self-check-in kiosk which is quite straightforward, but the staff didn't hesitate to step in and assist when needed. I stayed in a no window room. Because there’s no window, there was a slightly damp smell when I first walked in. Luckily, I brought my own room spray, so it wasn't an issue for me, but it's something to keep in mind. The air conditioning isn't incredibly strong. If you prefer a freezing room, you might struggle, but as someone who isn't a huge fan of intense AC, it was perfectly acceptable to me. Also, the floors are mosaic tiles (no carpet), so I highly recommend bringing your own indoor slippers.
On the bright side, the water pressure and hot water in the shower were excellent. There were also more than enough electrical sockets for two people to charge their devices. I didn't use the Wi-Fi, so I can't comment on that. There are water dispenser and iron with board at the corridor on my floor (3rd floor)
While the hotel is surrounded by plenty of local restaurants, I opted to order GrabFood because I was too tired. It was super easy, I just asked the rider to leave the food at the lobby.
Service: The staff on both the day and night shifts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They genuinely made the place feel welcoming, almost like home.
Important Tip on Deposit: Make sure to bring RM50 cash for the security deposit. You can use a card, but the reception mentioned it takes a few days for the bank to release the refund, so cash is much more convenient. Overall, it’s a simple, no-frills hotel. If you just need a budget-friendly place to crash after a tiring day, it does the job. Thank you to the kind staff for looking after me!

GGuest UserNo parking available, you'll need luck or an early arrival to find a spot, but public transport isn't very convenient. It takes a while to get to the attractions.
The bedsheets weren't very clean initially, but the staff were happy to move us to another room. They were also considerate enough to arrange a ground-floor room for us, as we had an elderly person with mobility issues. Full marks for service!
The area under the sink wasn't very clean, with some yellowish stains, but it wasn't a major issue. There's a step in front of the toilet, which can be difficult for elderly people needing to use the toilet or shower. Hot water is available, along with shower gel and shampoo, but no toothpaste, toothbrushes, or slippers. There's no fridge or kitchen (you can find food at Family Mart or 7-11). The TV channels are also quite old, and soundproofing isn't great. It's okay for a one-night stay if you can make do.
Overall: It was a pretty good experience. Despite the drawbacks mentioned, they are definitely making improvements, but there's still room for more. Keep up the good work!

Just a couple things: 1) wish the compound was smoke/cigarette-free (it was a middle aged local man who smoked in the area next to the pantry, looks like one of you idk); 2) don’t expect to go to bed early 😂 you can go to bed early but theres a bar below so you hear the music, and I was in the female dorm on level 1, lotsa noise coming from the floors above. However, people generally go quiet after, I think the bar closes? Which is 1am. Not sure, I went to bed around 10pm and was in and out of sleep. Overall the place is great.

You would discuss what you thought was useful, what you learned and later what you should have learned. This blog might be for others but would be useful for you to study for exams.
Travel, staying in, and visiting hotels.
Once you have experience in those things, then you could start an effective travel blog.
In my town, there are a few hotels with restaurants and fitness clubs. I could use those without seeing a room. This would give me some idea of the basics of hotels: amenities, parking lot and access to your room or the parking lot.
Honestly, if you not traveling professionally, and so using a variety of hotels, you probably won’t have enough experience to write a good blog.
I like camping. I wouldn’t attempt a review of camp sites until I had experience of 20 parks and camp sites. Or maybe if I stayed at several campsites at the same park. I love Killbear Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada, and I know it well enough to describe some of the camping areas. I know that some are limited-artificial noise areas where radios are not allowed. Others are slightly more oriented to (mild) parties. But I don’t know enough Provincial Parks to write a good blog.
Oh, one other thing. Writing about hotels is a part of writing about tourism in general. You could also write about the tourist sites around your o

Ffiq hyattThis is my fourth time staying at Beverly Hotel taiping, and I’ve had a great experience every time. The environment is pleasant, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Check-in and check-out processes are smooth and hassle-free, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The location is also convenient, as it’s close to Taiping Central.
Overall, everything was excellent. Keep up the good work—it’s always a nice place to stay!

GGuest UserStayed here for 2 days 1 night. The location is really good — right in the center of Sitiawan, close to shops, the stadium, and many other places, so it’s very convenient and strategic.
The room was quite basic and felt a bit empty. Amenities were minimal — no toothbrush or separate soap provided, only a 3-in-1 foam bath for shower gel and shampoo (including conditioner). Hair dryer is available but you need to request it.
The outside of the hotel looks quite new, but the interior feels older. Overall it’s okay for a short stay, but a bit expensive for what you get, so don’t expect too much.
