I have to say it's the best Youth Hostel I have ever stayed in Barcelona. The location is near the guell park, compared to the other popular location, it's not noisy and really quiet at night. Everything is clean, you can a nice aroma everywhere once you enter into the hostel. They provided the locker and the key, so it's also safety. I would definitely choose it for the next time's travel in Barcelona.

Het hotel is erg mooi. We hebben de eerste dag in het restaurant gegeten en de porties waren royaal en de prijzen waren goed (ik raad hun hamburger aan!). De kamers zijn ruim en zeer goed uitgerust. Het enige nadeel is dat het een beetje ver van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden ligt, maar de bus naar het stadscentrum kan pal voor het hotel worden genomen. Er waren ook hordes nogal irritante jongeren die met de liften speelden en ze bezig hielden, maar ik denk dat dat niet de schuld van het hotel is. Al met al een geweldig verblijf!

Overall, a good stay with a Few Minor Issues
I stayed at Safestay Barcelona Gothic from June 17–18, 2025, in a 12-bed mixed dorm. The experience was mostly positive.
✅ Pros:
The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the metro, which made it easy to get around.
If you have an early flight (like mine at 08:30), this is a good place to stay as you can easily reach the airport in time.
The dorm, bathrooms, and common areas were all neat and clean.
Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay.
The staff was friendly and spoke good English.
Definitely value for money.
⚠️ Cons:
The check-in time listed in my confirmation email was 14:00, but they didn’t allow check-in until 15:00. This was a bit inconvenient.
Breakfast was not included in the booking.
Overall, it’s a decent and budget-friendly option in a central area, especially for solo or budget travellers. I would recommend it for short stays.

I stayed here during my solo trip and had the best experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff were so warm, friendly, and helpful — they really made me feel at home. The bathrooms were spotless and well maintained, which made such a big difference during my stay. The whole place had a really welcoming and positive vibe, and it was super easy to meet other travelers and make friends.
As a solo traveler, I always look for places that feel safe and comfortable, and this hostel ticked all the boxes. The common areas were lively but relaxed, perfect for chatting, reading, or just hanging out. I left with great memories and new friends — I’d 100% recommend this hostel to anyone, especially solo travelers looking for a clean, friendly, and fun place to stay!

Ik heb onlangs het genoegen gehad om in Mellow Barcelona Hostel te verblijven tijdens mijn bezoek aan de levendige stad Barcelona. Als budgetreiziger was ik op zoek naar een betaalbare accommodatie die ook comfort en een sociale sfeer bood, en Mellow Barcelona Hostel overtrof zeker mijn verwachtingen.
Bij aankomst werd ik hartelijk begroet door het vriendelijke en meertalige personeel, dat het incheckproces heel eenvoudig maakte. Ze waren ook ongelooflijk behulpzaam bij het verstrekken van een kaart van de stad en het geven van waardevolle aanbevelingen over de beste plaatsen om te bezoeken en te verkennen in Barcelona.

Alles geweldig, perfecte kamer en badkamer. Het hotel is modern, gezellig en goed onderhouden. Ook als u geen ontbijt heeft inbegrepen, staat er voor alle gasten een gratis koffie- en chocoladeautomaat klaar. Je moet vanuit Girona een bus nemen om er te komen, maar je bent er meteen. Bovendien was de prijs zeer betaalbaar. Ik zou zonder twijfel terugkeren.

GGuest UserAbsolutely loved my stay there, the staff was so nice and welcoming. My room was small but I didn't need more space - the bed was double and very comfy and I had my own bathroom (pretty big in comparison) with lots of towels, fresh soap and tubes of showering gel (I travelled lightly so it was welcomed) so what else can one need. I loved the included breakfasts and the breakfast timeslot (from 8 to 12 - take notes all you other hotels out there!). There was a lot of variety for the price so IMO the food should satisfy most of the folks - I liked chorizo and cured ham, the wide selection of vegetables, the bread and croissants, and last but not least, the coffee was, pardon my expression, pretty damn good for a two star hotel. Tea was very ordinary in comparison but still okay. Having a kettle and a fridge in my room was super convenient. Wifi and tv quality was great. The walls aren't thick so when there's more guests it can get noisy - which didn't happen often to me but I can imagine how it can be during the high season - but that's a problem in most hotels all over the world. People are noisy animals, most of them. So if you are easily irritated etc consider taking & using earplugs, I guess. There were only two real downsides, let's say one and a half because only one was serious. My room was a bit too warm for my taste and when I realized that opening the window doesn't help, I tried using the air conditioning - which didn't work. I tried all the options, and the cooling mode made the room warmer instead of cooler. Which was a bummer. I didn't report that to the staff, since it wasn't a big issue for me at the moment - I spent most of my time outside the hotel anyway and came back at night when it was much cooler. But I can imagine it becoming a serious problem during the regular season in the summer or later in the spring. Air conditioning in a place like Tossa is essential, so yeah, better fix that ASAP, Turissa. Another thing, very minor this time, was that the cleaning lady who goes in to your room every day has a habit of straightening out the sheets on the bed every time. Yeah, like she did that every single day, lol. I mean I'm not that picky... Are you guys that picky (whoever reads this) ? Just leave it be and save yourself the work, lady, because you know it's gonna be a mess the next day, and the next, and the next - so it's like fighting windmills - unless your name is Donna Quixote, this is something uncalled for. But you know guys, if that's the only complaint one can make about the hotel, then you know Turissa is more than alright. Amiright or amiright guys;) Wish I could stay longer. PS: Oh and there's a pool for the guests, too. I didn't really have time to use (we were more excited dipping our toes in the sea anyway) it but I could watch it every day from the cantina when having my breakfast. Nice!

LliuxzhThe environment is pretty good, and the transportation nearby is very convenient, with small eateries around. The hotel facilities are basic, but the room was clean and tidy. The only downside was the poor soundproofing. Since I only stayed for one day, my overall impression is still decent.

1) Check-in time is from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
2) Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
3) There is a EUR 15 surcharge for check-in between 8:00 PM and midnight, and a EUR 30 surcharge for arrival between midnight and 3:00 AM. The late check-in fee must be paid in cash.
Check-in after 3:00 AM is not possible because we do not have 24-hour service. If you arrive this late, we will be able to accommodate you the following morning from 10:00 AM.
Late check-in must be notified in advance. If you do not notify us in advance, we will be entitled to accommodate you the following day. Guests, please respect each other and each other's time.
4) Smoking is prohibited inside the apartment. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a fine of 50 euros.
5) We take neighborly relations very seriously, so any noise that may disturb them is prohibited, especially after 10:00 p.m.
6) Parties (drinks) are strictly prohibited inside the apartment.
7) Guests who are not included in the reservation are not permitted to stay overnight.
8) A separate shelf in the refrigerator is designated for your room; in front of it, there is a number corresponding to your room number.
9) At the end of the stay, the tenant agrees to leave the kitchen utensils (plates, glasses, pans, cutlery) clean.
10) When leaving the apartment, always make sure the lights are off and the doors and windows are closed.
Additional Services:
- Cleaning during your stay: 10 euros per day (optional).
- Laundry service: 15 euros per wash (includes washing and drying).
- Luggage storage, only on the day of departure, for 10 euros before 6:00 pm, then 5 euros per hour, but no later than 8:00 pm, upon request.
- Crib: 10 euros per day, subject to availability.
- In air-conditioned rooms, use of the air conditioning is an additional service and costs 10 euros per day.

CCP-travelerIt’s great for its price given the location is accessible and where all touristy activities happen. I like that I have my own room with window and private bathroom for a very affordable price. It is also near the TikTok-viral restaurant, Colom, where I ate Paella twice. 🫣🤣❤️ It is also near Barcelona Cathedral! ❤️

And yet they had free stuff that was put on the receptionist. But if you want to travel to the centre of Barcelona, this hostel is pretty far from it. But so far it's awesome experience

Service & Staffs -The receptionists were very accommodating and helpful. However, I noticed a clear difference with the other staff members; many didn’t seem happy working there and weren't as friendly or welcoming as the front desk team.
The Incident - Living in a hostel always carries a risk. Unfortunately, I lost cash inside my room during my stay. While the hostel acknowledged the situation, they couldn't conduct an investigation because there is no CCTV in the private sleeping areas—which is understandable for privacy, but still very frustrating.
Facilities - The rooms are spacious, and the lockers are large enough to fit a big piece of luggage. It’s a peaceful place to stay despite being a hostel.
Location - This is the hostel’s best feature. It’s walking distance to Sagrada Família and other major tourist spots. There are plenty of resto-bars, convenience stores, and easy access to both bus stops and the metro.
A great spot for convenience and comfort, but you must be extremely careful with your cash and valuables, as you never know who you are sharing a room with.

While she was talking so rude the other guy was laughing. better dont get this kind of people as it will ruin your reputation as you are running a service related business. Ccommuter123This was an unplanned, last-minute trip to Barcelona; I booked the flight just over three hours before departure. Hotels in Barcelona aren't cheap, and after walking all day, I really just needed a place to crash. It felt like a waste for one person, but it was my first time staying in a hostel. The environment, cleanliness, and location were all pretty good. The people were from all over – a Filipino-American, a Korean pastry chef who broke her arm and had to rest for six months, and exchange students from China. It was a memorable experience. The hostel is about a fifteen-minute walk from the airport bus stop. The entrance is tiny, and you have to ring the doorbell. Not far across the street, there's a good Chinese hotpot buffet, I think for 29 Euros. The sunset at Bunkers del Carmel and the sunrise at the beach are both worth seeing. Don't forget to try the churros with chocolate!
