Ik ben Koreaans en heb onlangs China bezocht. Het viel me op dat de meeste hotels daar net als Airbnb in hoge gebouwen gevestigd zijn. Ik ben een fervent reiziger, dus ik heb een goed oog voor accommodaties. Deze plek was schoon, ruim en netjes. Het was koud in Chongqing, dus ik koos een kamer met een jacuzzi. Het was betaalbaar en de aparte douche en badkamer waren prettig. Het uitzicht was ook geweldig. Ik kon geen drie nachten blijven, dus ik ben maar twee nachten gebleven, wat jammer was. De verwarming werkte prima en het hotel was perfect voor een drankje. De locatie is gunstig, alles is op loopafstand. Het is een kamer die groot genoeg is voor een gezin, dus het is vooral ideaal voor gezinsvakanties!

Het hostel bevindt zich boven in een gebouw met een spectaculair uitzicht. Het is ook erg centraal gelegen en ligt naast een metro-ingang. Er lopen overal katten rond in het hostel (behalve in de kamers). Het personeel was vriendelijk, hoewel hun Engels gebrekkig was. De kamer was redelijk groot en de airconditioning werkte uitstekend. Het enige wat verbeterd moest worden, was dat de kamer niet erg schoon was, net als de badkamer.

De hotelservice is erg goed. Ik heb goed geslapen. De service is erg goed. Als ik de volgende keer terugkom, zal ik zeker voor dit hotel kiezen. Ik ben tevreden dat het verblijf zeer comfortabel is en dat de omgeving goed is. De service is ook zeer attent. Ook de prijs is echt betaalbaar en kosteneffectief. Ik zal hier de volgende keer weer verblijven. Zal deze plek overwegen, de kamer is ook relatief comfortabel. Overal waar ze aanraken en kijken, doen klanten onverwachte ontdekkingen. Er is een Bayi Road Delicious Street in de buurt met veel heerlijk eten.

De locatie is werkelijk een pareltje. Het is slechts 5 minuten lopen naar het hart van het schilderachtige Hongyadong-gebied en slechts een korte wandeling of een of twee metrohaltes naar Jiefangbei en Chaotianmen, waardoor sightseeing moeiteloos wordt. Omringd door talloze attracties kunt u zich direct voor de deur onderdompelen in de levendige sfeer van Chongqing, waardoor u aanzienlijk bespaart op reistijd en uw sightseeing-efficiëntie kunt maximaliseren. Het uitzicht op de rivier is nog steeds fantastisch, met een prachtig uitzicht op de Jialing-rivier en de verlichte oevers 's avonds, zodat u kunt genieten van het prachtige landschap zonder de drukte. Faciliteiten: Complete faciliteiten, er is ook een keuken om te koken, het bad 🛁 is een verrassing, kom terug na het spelen en neem een bad, het is comfortabel! !
Milieuhygiëne: Schoon en opgeruimd. Als het licht in de kamer aan is, is de omgeving warm, niet verblindend en vooral gezellig. Er hangt geen vreemde geur in de kamer. Een tante zal elke dag wegwerpartikelen schoonmaken en vervangen. Als u op een hoge verdieping woont, kunt u tijdens het baden genieten van het nachtelijke uitzicht over Chongqing.
Service: De servicebutler is erg goed. U kunt ons al uw wensen doorgeven. Hij kan u ook reistips geven en tips over hoe u slechte plekken kunt vermijden. Dit is een echte toegevoegde waarde. Hij zal u ook herinneren wanneer u een taxi neemt.
Het was zo fijn om er twee nachten te verblijven! ! !

Hongyadong ligt net buiten de deur en op 500 meter van metrostation Xiaoshizi. Het openbaar vervoer is erg handig. De kamer is schoon en de schoonmaakservice is aanwezig! Het beste is het uitzicht vanuit de kamer met uitzicht op de rivier!

De B&B ligt vlakbij Jiefangbei, waardoor hij gemakkelijk te vinden is en ideaal is voor reizen en dineren. Het combinatieslot is ook erg veilig.
De kamer was erg schoon. Ik had vooraf met de eigenaar afgesproken dat hij de kamer elke dag zou schoonmaken. De eigenaar was ook erg vriendelijk en gastvrij, en eventuele problemen werden snel opgelost.
De kamer had ook een prachtig uitzicht op de rivier.
Ik was zeer tevreden.

De service in het hotel was uitstekend; al mijn vragen aan de receptie werden uitgebreid beantwoord. De faciliteiten en de netheid waren goed. De medewerker van de klantenservice had vooraf een groepschat aangemaakt om de routebeschrijving en andere details uit te leggen. Bagageopslag is ook beschikbaar vóór het inchecken; de service was erg attent. Het hotel is gemakkelijk te vinden en de kamers bieden een fantastisch uitzicht. Ik zou zeker weer voor dit hotel kiezen; de ervaring was uitstekend.

The huge window offered a stunning view directly overlooking the Jialing River. It was vibrant with bright lights and bustling activity, but surprisingly, it didn't affect my sleep at all – though I know individual experiences can vary. Breakfast wasn't included, but there are plenty of excellent and affordable restaurants downstairs. Airport transfer wasn't provided, but a Didi Premier ride was less than ¥50. There was a washing machine available, but it had a slight mildew smell, so I decided not to use it.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse has a dedicated butler who provides excellent service. They are very responsive to any issues, even replying and resolving problems in the early hours of the morning. From downstairs, you can directly see the Qianximen Bridge, the confluence of the two rivers, and the Grand Theater – the night view is stunning. You can even catch drone performances from the room, making for fantastic photo opportunities. Hongyadong is right next door, just a few minutes' walk away, and the night view from there is also superb. The bathroom in the room has a separate wet and dry area, and the guesthouse provides a full set of disposable toiletries, which is a thoughtful touch. There's also a single bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak while enjoying the night views of Chongqing's two rivers – it's wonderful. The location is very convenient for transportation; the light rail station is only a few minutes away. The room is well-equipped with all necessary facilities. It's a great choice for travelers. I would definitely choose this guesthouse again for my next stay.

GGuest UserEasily the best hostel I've ever been to. What made it my favorite is the common areas with wonderful vibes, the complete set of amenities, and the incredible hosts. My favorite room is the main cafe area on the top floor, where there is always bread and tea available, I went to the supermarket nearby and bought some jam and peanut butter so I could make a quick sandwich whenever I wanted, and it was *incredible*. The host and hostess have so many resources for things to do in Chongqing, and you can ask them anything you want - they're very good at English and give you a whole tour of their guidebook they've made for all the things there when you first check in. There's a balcony on the second floor, the cafe area on the third floor, and the rooftop patio, so I found there to be a really nice variety of places to hang out in especially if I needed a quiet place to take a call and the other areas were busy. All of them are super clean and comfortable, and in my three days there I met people from other parts of Asia, Europe, and the USA. French, German, Scotland, Malaysian, Chinese - you name it, there are a rotating cast of characters from all over and I really enjoyed it!
So, amenities wise here's what you've got that I found exceptional:
1. Showers - Plentiful, soap and shampoo provided, never ran out of hot water
2. Bathrooms - Plentiful western + asian toilets, *toilet paper provided*
3. Beds - cozy, each room has a window, area under the bed is good for storing stuff. Some people who aren't used to asian beds might find the mattress thin but I'm good with it.
4. BREAD AND TEA - Can't applaud this enough, they bake their own bread and have it available in the cafe area the whole time, they brew tea every morning, so peak.
5. Washer and *Dryer* - lots of places don't have dryer, this is super nice, it's about 10 元 to use and well worth it, definitely washed my clothes well.
6. Water - Clean water on tap, hot and cold, kettle also available if I remember correctly.
7. VIEW - The first floor is on the 31st floor, but the place goes up 3 more floors from there to the rooftop. Really cute sort of style to it with stairs between each floor. Each floor has an incredible view of the central area of Chongqing - Jiefangbei, and you can see the bridges plus WFC from there.
8. Company - The host and hostess are so lovely and helped me practice my Chinese, but they also speak great english. The other guests at the hostel also spoke plentiful english and many were fellow Westerners, so if you don't want to practice your Chinese you can chat with them too. It seems to attract a mixed bag of people from other asian countries to western countries, I personally hope I can practice more chinese next time 所以我可以好好学习天天向上！
9. Location - Right in the middle of Jiefangbei, next to Jiaochangkou subway, and plenty of restaurants.
10. Price - Very affordable, very worth it.
This is probably going to be my ”base” I return to every time i'm back in Chongqing from here on out! Thank you so much for having me!

GGuest UserThe room is very close to the subway station, right outside the exit. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was spotless. The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even when our train arrived very early in the morning. Nearby, there are traditional hot pot restaurants and various local snacks, all delicious and affordable. We truly experienced the warmth and hospitality of Chongqing people. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance to visit Chongqing.

GGuest UserThis hotel is conveniently located in Qixinggang, making it easy to get to all the major attractions. The front desk staff were very patient and friendly, providing excellent service. Any questions or issues were addressed promptly. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. The room was a loft style, offering good privacy and complete facilities. The overall decor was fresh and elegant, and it had a city view with an expansive vista. Most importantly, it was quiet, which is great for those who prioritize a good rest. The hotel is also very close to the hospital, so I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Fuenjiang Road Campus of the Second Affiliated Hospital.

GGuest UserBooked this hotel for the loft room type which has only 1 unit. Note that there are only 14 rooms across 2 floors located in a commercial building. Seems like it is very common in cq to have such hotels which are occupying floors in a building. The room has a great view of Jiefangbei and you can see the monument from the room. Pls note that the location of the room is just next to the entrance which i didn't like (personal preference) but it didn't affect me in terms of noise.
Smart system, tv projector
The room is using a smart system which you can control through voice. However this proved to be a problem for me instead as everytime I returned and put in the key card, the same settings operate e.g. music automatically plays and the announcement starts and I have to ask it to stop playing the music. The lighting is also preset with hindered the brightness of the projector. Note that there is no tv, only a projector with iqiyi inbuilt so there are no tv channels and most of the shows require a subscription to play. I wasn't able to adjust the lights according to what I want. So if I wanted a very clear resolution, I had to turn off all lights.
Bathroom
The toilet seat was automatic with bidet. As it is automated, you have to press a button to open the seat cover everytime you want to use. If you use the disposable seat cover, it cannot detect you and halfway using the toilet, the seat keeps coming down to close as it closes automatically. The position of the handheld shower is also very low. I'm 1.68m tall which was the perfect height but anyone taller will hit the shower. One very important point to note is also that the hotel only uses disposable towels to my dismay. They do not have regular towels. If I had known I wouldn't have booked this hotel. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in cq. There are also no hooks in the bathroom and the sink is outside the bathroom.
During my stay it rained a bit so the area just beside the bed had a pool of water which likely came from a leak in the building. For this room, the electronic curtains were also unable to cover the room totally due to the stairs going up to the bed.
Aircon
Due to the size of the room, I felt that the ac wasn't strong enough to cool the room totally.
In conclusion, the hotel has a great location and good service but if I had known the above, I would hv chosen another regular hotel with tv, regular towels etc. I wanted to check out after 1 night but didn't as it was just simply too troublesome and my booking was non refundable.

SSugata AhadThe room was exceptionally good. We forgot our keys twice and once at 3 AM, but still happily opened the door for us.  really appreciate the receptionist for helping us out. Apart from that the view was extremely good as well. The hotel is located at the very center and all the good restaurants are within walking distance.  some very famous restaurants are also their right across the streets. I have no idea how at this budget. They gave such a good room with such a good location.

From the moment I arrived, the staff give best instruction in wecht who demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and genuine hospitality. The hotel’s location is absolutely outstanding and incredibly convenient for travelers. In front of Metro.It is situated close to major attractions, shopping areas, restaurants, and public transportation, making it very easy to explore the city. The surrounding area is vibrant yet safe, offering stunning city views, especially at night when the skyline lights up beautifully. Whether you are visiting for leisure, family vacation, or business purposes, the location provides excellent accessibility.
The room exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The bed was extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows that ensured a restful sleep every night. Cleanliness was impeccable — every corner of the room, including the bathroom, was spotless and well maintained. The housekeeping team did a remarkable job of keeping the room fresh, tidy, and well stocked with amenities throughout my stay.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the room. The large windows allowed natural light to fill the space during the day, while at night, the panoramic city view created a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere.
Safety and security at the hotel were also excellent. The hotel maintained strong security measures, and I felt completely safe throughout my stay. This is especially important for travelers visiting the city for the first time.

GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

GGuest UserThis hotel exceeded my expectations in every way and made the whole trip incredibly smooth and enjoyable.
Even before check-in, the staff proactively contacted me, provided detailed transportation guidance, and made sure I knew exactly how to get there. The location is outstanding — literally right next to the subway station. Once you exit the station, the hotel is just there. It’s also in the heart of the city, making it extremely convenient to reach all major attractions, shopping areas, and restaurants.
Another thing I really appreciated was their flexibility with check-in. If the previous guest checked out early, the staff would quickly prepare and clean the room so guests could check in earlier than the official check-in time, which was incredibly helpful.
The hotel also offers luggage storage and even provides a microwave for guests to use. Inside the room, there was basically everything you could need. The refrigerator was surprisingly large, the room itself was spacious, exceptionally clean, and beautifully designed. Considering the price, the value for money is outstanding.
What impressed me the most was the service. The staff kindly helped me reserve a Michelin one-star restaurant in Chengdu, which normally requires a Chinese phone number and is known to be quite difficult to book. Thanks to their help, I was able to enjoy an amazing dining experience without any hassle. Their support truly made my trip much more convenient and memorable.
There are only two minor downsides:
The hotel is located inside a building with a lot of people coming and going, and there are only a few elevators serving many floors. If you stay on a higher floor, you may need to wait quite a while for the elevator and sometimes it gets crowded.
The shower area is a bit small.
However, compared with all the advantages, these are very minor issues. Overall, this hotel is absolutely worth the price and I highly recommend staying here. Honestly, part of me doesn’t even want to recommend it because I’m afraid too many people will discover this hidden gem!
