Het hotel is prachtig ingericht. Onze kamer met twee tweepersoonsbedden (twin room scenic) was prima geschikt voor twee volwassenen en twee kleine kinderen (3 en 5 jaar oud).
We hadden wat moeite met het online boeken van tickets voor de Tianmen-berg (hiervoor heb je een QR-code nodig; vraag in het hotel naar de folder of plattegrond). Tip: Voor lijn B kun je tickets vanaf 7:00 uur 's ochtends aan de kassa kopen voor dezelfde dag en ze zijn direct geldig, zonder tijdslot.

My stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable. The room was spacious and offered spectacular views of the city, especially at night. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always making sure I had everything I needed. The combination of stunning views, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere made my stay unforgettable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

The hotel rooms are clean, and the staff provide excellent service. The location is very convenient, as it is extremely close to the subway station—just a few steps from Exit 1 of Line 1 to the hotel elevator, making it easy to get anywhere. Between 8 PM and 9 PM, complimentary sweet soup is offered. The only inconvenience is that there is no place to hang the bath towels. After showering, one has to open the door to retrieve the towel. Additionally, the room's air conditioning is centrally controlled and tends to be very cold. However, it is better at night when the temperature is adjusted to a more comfortable level.

Great place to stay. Good medium clean room, it was not noisy for us as we stay on the 4th/5th floor. Close to most of the attractions, so we just walk as we only did a short stay in Changsa, which the hotel is a good choice for limited time couples. The toilet only has 1 sharing door for bath & toilet so it will be awkward if staying with friends 😆

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner is exceptionally kind, warm, and incredibly helpful, especially for travelers who are unfamiliar with Zhangjiajie.
They went above and beyond to provide us with useful travel tips and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay.
The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The service was truly outstanding, exceeding our expectations in every way. The location is also perfect, very strategic and convenient for exploring the main attractions in Zhangjiajie.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly, highly recommended for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!

Het hotel is zeer goed. Uitstekende locatie voor degenen die de Tianmen-berg komen bezoeken. Het Tianmen-lanceercomplex is eenvoudig zichtbaar vanuit het raam van onze kamer). We werden opgehaald bij het treinstation en gratis naar het hotel gebracht. We checkten snel en vóór de inchecktijd in. De kamer is groot. Toegegeven, we hebben het in Japanse stijl gekregen, zonder stoelen, wat lastig bleek te zijn, maar dit is niet kritisch. Maar ze trakteerden ons op echte thee. Het enige hotel tijdens onze reis naar China! Er zijn eetgelegenheden in de buurt van het hotel en er zijn winkels in de omgeving. Voor de prijs van de kamer is dit een vondst. Ja, vliegtuigen stijgen op boven het hotel, maar ze vertrokken niet 's nachts, het was goed om te slapen.

Xiao Le en Xiao Fang zijn twee fantastische medewerkers! Toen we iets kwijt waren, kwamen ze proactief naar ons toe om te vragen of ze konden helpen, nog voordat wij er zelf naar hoefden te zoeken. Het hotel zelf is ook uitstekend, met een ontzettend gastvrije service. Ik kan dit hotel dan ook van harte aanbevelen! Er is ook een zwembad en het ontbijt was heerlijk. Helaas moesten we tijdens de meivakantie elke dag vroeg op pad, waardoor we maar één keer van het ontbijt hebben kunnen genieten. De daktuin was een absolute verrassing! De sterjasmijn stond prachtig in bloei, en we hebben er een heerlijke middag doorgebracht.

the receptionist is good very helpful. i wasnt well when i went there so i didnt go out much. the receptionist helped me get a taxi as i dont have weixin to book it. very grateful for her help. the hotel location is good close to shopping center plus lots of resto around. the room was small and smell of smoking when i came so i need to open the window. the floors are not well insulated. i can hear whatever upstairs and downstairs doing. woke up at 2am by the occupants upstairs whom keep playing with the luggage? keep walking around?? it happen a few times.if i can suggest you better put carpet on the floor to reduce the noise.

GGuest UserStayed here for two nights while exploring Zhangjiajie. Fantastic little guesthouse, the room was very clean and modern, having a bathtub was a plus after walking 20,000+ steps each day! They have Japanese bidet toilets too which is relatively uncommon in China in my experience.
They also provide fantastic service recommending attractions and booking tickets for the sights with a discount. They reached out a few days before the stay to ask about my plans and helped me decide what to do and booked tickets for me at a discount. Each day they would message in the morning to remind me what I was booked for and what time to get there etc.
I arrived early on the first day and they were able to check me in straight away, but even if that isn't possible due to rooms being full, luggage storage is not an issue. The building doesn't have an elevator but they will move all your bags to your room for you (I tried to say I would be fine doing it but he refused to let me!). On the day I was leaving, I was able to just leave my bags in my room and when I came back from the park in the evening they had bought them downstairs for me, ready to go.
The only negative (and I know this is common in China so I'm not being too picky!) is that the bed was very firm. I didn't ask them for an extra blanket or something to add padding but I'm sure they would have provided one if I had asked!

🛏️ 1. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money
- The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new.
- The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush!
- Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent.
- Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors.
📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around
- The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep.
- Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride.
- As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away.
👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service
- The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. I planned a 2-day trip, so she suggested entering via the East Gate on the first day and the South Gate on the second day.
- She is always in a good mood and genuinely seems to love her work. Her bright energy makes talking to her an absolute joy 🤣 I was so impressed!
- Her English is okay for basic communication, but for convenience and speed, we used WeChat. The translation feature made it smooth, and we understood each other perfectly.
🎟️ 4. Better ticket discounts through the hotel
- I highly recommend this! If you need tickets, let the hotel book them for you—the prices are actually better than booking through popular travel apps.
- Whether it's the national park ticket (she also helps book your entry time slot for every day you plan to visit—though if you want to change the time, you need to ask her to update it for you), Baofeng Lake, or the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, she can get them at a cheaper price.
- Another perk is the unpredictable weather in Zhangjiajie. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free.
🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long)
Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word.
Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. Not only because of how much she helped me, but the rooms and facilities are genuinely excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, please keep this hotel in mind! ❤️

JJames04The location of this hotel and the room quality for the price are amazing! It’s located right next to a metro station which is only one stop away from the central square, and from there you can take another metro line to orange island or to the railway stations - so this is very handy. The hotel is near lots of places to eat/shop, and the view from the hotel is nice. The room was nicely furnished, had automated controls for all of the electronics/curtains, and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast was not the most expansive, but was tasty. All of these positive attributes were unfortunately somewhat let down by the service, which although incredibly friendly, was certainly unorganised. To begin with, we arrived at 2:30pm for a 2pm check in time, so that we could go out to explore. Unfortunately, we were told the room was not ready, and that we were to come back in an hour, when it would be ready. Given that we were only staying for one night, this significantly altered our plans - but they did at least allow us to leave our bags. However, upon returning around 4pm, we were told that our room was still not ready. Despite the staff being very friendly, not much of an apology/compensation was given. Therefore, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes in the lobby for the room to be ready. Once we were told to head up, we arrived to a wet floor. Whilst this didn’t take too much longer to dry, it was another inconvenience - and all of these piled up to essentially waste our planned afternoon in Changsha. Unfortunately, there were further issues later that day. We had some laundry to clean+dry, and so decided to make use of the hotel facilities. We were quite happy to load the washing machines ourselves, but after doing so, we were told that they would handle the drying for us - great! However, if we had known how long this process would have taken, we would never have accepted. We initially thought we could come back to collect our clothes 2 hours later - a standard time for 30min wash + drying (dryers were all free at the time) - so we returned at about 7pm. However, it was clear that they had forgotten about our (or perhaps other customer’s) washing, as they ran to the machines to move things around, and told us it would be another 2 hours to dry, and then we would be able to collect our clothes afterwards from reception. As a result, we decided to head out for the evening, a planning to return later to collect. At about 12pm, we returned from the evening, obviously expecting the drying to be finished (as we were told we could collect it at 9pm). However, after the staff once again ran to the laundry room (clearly having forgotten about them), we were told they were still not ready and that there was a queue. We completely understand that given the size of the hotel, we would potentially have to wait longer - but the fact we were initially told that it would be ready at 9pm is what made this frustrating, and that it seemed very unorganised. As we were leaving the next morning, we had to stay up late to guarantee the drying would be ready, and so it was only past 1am in the morning we received them back (despite the laundry room being empty at 5pm). Overall, whilst the room was nice and the location was great, these issues significantly impacted our stay (especially due to just being there for one night).

GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean overall, and the room was tidied up perfectly. The bedding was neat and odorless, and there were no water stains or smudges in the bathroom, which made me feel very comfortable staying there. All the facilities worked properly; the air conditioning and hot water were both excellent, and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The front desk staff were super nice, and both check-in and check-out were very quick. The environment was quiet and not noisy, offering great value for money. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit.

She and her husband were very hospitable and gave me tips on what to do as well as helped me plan an enjoyable walking route for one of the mornings, which was much more peaceful and serene than the typical spots. If you are visiting Zhiangjiajie, she can help you with booking your entry pass and reservations as well as give you tips on how to get between locations and what to do, so you don't necessarily need to pay extra for a tour.
Room and bed were large, bathroom was modern.

SShengzhewuxinThis was my third trip to Zhangjiajie, and after visiting the bustling East and South gates before, I decided to enter through the West gate this time. This guesthouse is absolutely a hidden gem nestled within the mountains and rivers of Zhangjiajie, offering the most healing and immersive nature experience I've ever had.
The guesthouse is located inside the West Gate scenic area, right next to Xiangzi Stream. To check in, you first cross a covered bridge, with the clear, gentle sounds of the babbling stream all around – just listening to it is incredibly therapeutic. You could easily spend a long time just daydreaming on that bridge.
Surrounded by mountains and forests, the air is fresh and moist. There's no noisy crowd, just the chirping of birds and the accompanying stream, truly making you feel like you're living within the scenery.
It's very friendly for self-driving tourists. You can drive your car directly into the scenic area. Just contact the owner in advance, and they'll come out to greet you, guide you to parking, and even have charging piles available.
It's about a 500-meter walk to the Yangjiajie cable car, so getting up a bit early allows you to get ahead of the crowds. A quick start often leads to a quick journey overall, helping you avoid the throngs in the evening.
I absolutely must give a special shout-out to the landlady. She is incredibly warm and thoughtful. I learned through conversation that she used to be an executive at an international five-star hotel brand. Because of this, the guesthouse exudes professionalism and refinement, from its service to its amenities. The bedding (the same kind used in Grand Hyatt hotels), towels, and toiletries are all configured to five-star hotel standards, offering a soft and comfortable feel. The mattress, in particular, is perfectly balanced – not too soft, not too hard, with excellent support. Combined with the quiet surroundings and falling asleep to the sound of Xiangzi Stream, my sleep quality was superb, and all my travel fatigue was relieved in just one night.
The guesthouse is relatively new, so all the facilities are pristine and well-maintained, clean, tidy, and stylish. I highly recommend room 101, a stilt house (with a 270-degree mountain view). The view is absolutely stunning; opening the window reveals lush green mountains and a flowing stream, with distant mountains and nearby water all within sight, providing an unparalleled viewing experience.
Nearby, you can pick fresh wild vegetables and organic vegetables grown on-site. They are picked fresh from the fields, ensuring tender, pollution-free ingredients. The guesthouse also provides a kitchen for guests to use, so you can cook the wild vegetables and organic produce you've picked into homemade dishes, savoring the fresh and natural taste.
During leisure time, the owner also prepares high-quality mulberry tea and coffee beans. Sipping tea by a fireside in the courtyard, admiring the mountain views, and listening to the murmuring stream – these slow-paced moments are incredibly relaxing and comfortable. It's truly the life one dreams of. It's perfectly suited for an extended stay.

Facilities:
The shower gets a perfect score of 100! 💯 The super large showerhead made showering incredibly comfortable, washing away a whole day's fatigue. The bed was also very cozy; a great experience! 🙏
Service:
The front desk staff (both male and female) deserve a perfect score of 100! 💯 Check-in was super fast, and I even received a small gift upon arrival. When I came down for breakfast and realized I forgot my room card, they immediately issued a new one for me. They also gave me popcorn bags to pack some food for my family in the room, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The rice noodles for breakfast weren't good; I should have ordered the noodles like other guests. My mistake! However, the egg wine was superb; I highly recommend everyone try it! 🥰🥰
Cleanliness:
Very clean, nothing to complain about. The room also provided laundry detergent, so I could wash socks and such. If you need to do laundry, the hotel offers a free laundry service, which is super convenient.
This is a hidden gem of a hotel, and I'll definitely come back next time. Highly recommended to everyone! ❤️

1. The room was big, comfortable and clean. The bed was also comfortable.

3. The staff was very kind and helpful. The receptionist organized our 3 day trip free of charge and he did an amazing job (fast entries, not too crowded, everything was smooth), he saved us a lot of time and even explained the plan perfectly. They were available on wechat and replied very fast 😁
4. We destroyed our hair dryer and they gave us a new one without making us feel bad or even compensate for it.
5. The location is amazing, near the river, center of a city and even park entry (10-15 min walk)
Do not hesitate and stay here ☺️

The landlady is very nice; she gave a detailed introduction to the attractions and offered great suggestions. The room rate is moderate, and a taxi to the East Gate from just outside the hotel costs the minimum fare, only about 1 kilometer, but the room price is much cheaper than hotels right at the East Gate!

The soundproofing could be better, and the 'stargazing room' effect wasn't great, though most people probably aren't booking it for that.
