Hotels met Spa in Bagmati, Nepal

Dit was mijn eerste keer wandelen in het buitenland en ik kwam pas om middernacht in Kathmandu aan. Ik was ontzettend moe na het verlaten van het vliegveld. Het hotel dat ik aan het plein zag, zag er vrij groot uit en had goede recensies op Ctrip. De eigenaar was de hele tijd erg gastvrij en geduldig. Hij vroeg zelfs naar mijn vluchttijd naar Pokhara de volgende dag en vroeg het personeel om me wakker te maken, haha. 's Ochtends bracht de eigenaar me zelfs op zijn motor naar het vliegveld. De kamer was erg mooi, zeker de prijs waard. (Het ontbijt begon vroeg en was gloeiend heet.)

This is the second time I stayed at Ramada Encore in Thamel. I was not wrong to choose it again. Absolutely everything is good here ... the staff, the room,the breakfast (oh my, sooooo good), the location, the friendliness of every single employee, from the door in. A special recognition to Nikhil in the reception, whose service and support with a sincere smile is as comforting as the sunshine on an early autumn morning. And to the staff and therapists on the spa where I took a couple of massages that were superb. Kathmandu is a beautiful, yet hectic city. Thamel even more, so to have this oasis to come to after a long day wandering around or trekking is something to treasure. In my case, this is even more meaningful as I left all my stuff to go hiking on the Himalayas for several days, coming back to the hotel with the certainty that I was going to be happily and truly welcome. Again, I was not wrong. Thank you for making a difference and for understanding what the word service means. I will certainly choose you again and again every time I come back to this unique Kathmandu I learned to love. Namaste, 🙏🏼.

I recently stayed here in Kathmandu and had an excellent experience. The location was perfect—conveniently situated close to key attractions and amenities. The breakfast was wholesome and satisfying, offering a variety of options to start the day right. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm smile. The hot shower was a welcome luxury, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kathmandu!

Nice place at the heart of Thamel, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere

The skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here. I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there! The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu! All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!

Ik schrijf zelden recensies, maar ik kan dit hotel in Kathmandu van harte aanbevelen. Het hotel ligt aan de hoofdstraat van Thamel, waardoor het zeer gunstig gelegen is ten opzichte van Chinese restaurants, bars, winkels en meer. Het hotel heeft een uitstekende smaak, met kamers die vergelijkbaar zijn met die van hotelketens, compleet met elektrische gordijnen en een slim toilet. De eigenaar is erg aardig en biedt zoveel mogelijk hulp. Het lokale personeel biedt uitstekende service en je merkt dat ze een systematische training hebben gevolgd voordat ze aan de slag gingen.

Het hotel, als een afgelegen toevluchtsoord, ligt in een rustig steegje te midden van de drukke straat. Bij binnenkomst in het steegje ervaart u een rustige sfeer, die nog wordt versterkt door een kleine tuin op de binnenplaats van het hotel, waar u heerlijk kunt ontsnappen aan de drukte. De inrichting van het hotel is nieuw, schoon en stijlvol. De kamers bevinden zich op de t****e verdieping en kijken uit op de rustige tuin. Het hotelpersoneel is behulpzaam en het welkomstdrankje is uitstekend. Het hotel heeft een kleine fitnessruimte, maar die is voldoende voor een comfortabele workout.

On this special day, I chose to check in at Shanker hotel. The warm service,delicious food and quality environment,everything is so good. The hotel prepares decorations and cake very thoughtfully, surprised us. Due to the late arrival time, the hotel also thoughtfully provided me with dinner order so that could enjoy it when we arrived. Finally the food upexpectedly delicious. I recommend you to choose Shanker hotel. Wherever it’s a vacation or celebration it is best choice.

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.
