"Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing staycation We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed how peaceful and comfortable this place is. The unit was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with complete amenities that made our stay very convenient. The view was absolutely lovely, perfect for slow mornings, coffee by the balcony, and winding down after a long day. What we appreciated most was how quiet and relaxing the environment felt, despite being very accessible near the restaurants, malls, convenience store and transportation. Everything we needed was nearby, yet the place still gave that calm, private staycation atmosphere. The room was so clean with aircon and ceiling fan, bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen setup was practical, got also Ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries. Overall, this is a great spot for anyone looking to rest, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful staycation with a nice view. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you so much again."

"Kamercondities: Het hotel is heel oud en een beetje afgelopen, dus het is begrijpelijk dat de meubels ook ouder zijn. De tafellampen/studielicht zag uit en kon een beetje onderhoud gebruiken. Dienst: De inchecking op het front desk was soepel, maar we stonden met een probleem met de TV in onze kamer. We konden geen kanalen overal kijken. In het begin dacht we dat het misschien het weer zou zijn, maar de TV in mijn ouders' kamer werkte goed. We scanden de QR-code om hulp te vragen en ontvingen alleen “Gemerkt” als antwoord. We hebben twee berichten gestuurd en hebben beide keer hetzelfde antwoord ontvangen. Aangezien er geen follow-up was, gingen we naar het frontbureau om het persoonlijk te rapporteren, maar helaas werd er pas gehandeld als we erachter kwamen. Car Park: Probeer te voorkomen dat er onder de bomen een parkeerplaats wordt geplaatst, omdat er heel veel weefsels rondom het gebied zijn. Breakfast Buffet: Het ontbijtbuffet was goed. De kurma kip smaakte meer als ayam unkep, wat een beetje misleidend was, maar ik hield van het omdat ik echt ayam unkep."
