If you're looking to explore San Jose, or have a basecamp for exploring the rest of Costa Rica, this hotel offers a great central location, situated right in the middle of San José. Good for walking to restaurants or shops in the city, or joining one of the several sight-seeing excursions which can be easily arranged by the hotel.
The rooms are nice, though the decor is a bit dated. The common areas are also well designed for lounging while reading a book or getting to know your fellow travelers staying on the same floor.
The breakfast buffet was fairly common for a hotel offering breakfast in Costa Rica, but good, and the area also doubles as a bar at night. Other amenities include a gym with free weights and a couple machines, along with two saunas, one dry and one steam.

Curtains on the bed which is a killer feature to get some intimacy and sleep better. Common spaces are well designed. Yoga class in the morning is highly recommended. People are welcoming but usually won't stay for long as San Jose is usually a step to go somewhere else. Except a few co-workers.

酒店很安全，門口有保安。房間簡約但很寬敞。自助早餐中規中矩。亮點是木瓜，菠蘿和西瓜吃到爽。酒店除了前台，其他客房和餐廳員工都不會講英語（衹會西語）。樓層走廊盡頭左轉有飲水機，儘管房間內貼了標識: 哥斯達黎加是拉丁美洲為數不多的，可以直接飲用自來水的國家。另外，酒店提供免費穿梭巴士到附近的商業街區，需要和前台預約。

Good points, room very nice and clean. Bar and pool staff very good. Dinner OK. Amenities also good.
Not so good, receptionists abrupt and unwelcoming, we were told to see the bell man to organise a lift to the airport and he just left us standing at his desk organising about 10 suitcases and then walked off to deliver them to various rooms. We went for breakfast at 05.00 as it says on room information and was told when checking out it opens at 05.30. We had a flight to catch and make our own way to the airport so no breakfast.

Superbe hôtel idéalement situé au milieu de la vallée de San Gerardo de Dota et toujours géré par les descandants des pionniers qui ont ”découvert” la vallée dans les années '50. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel pour sa proximité avec le parc national Los Quetzales. Finalement, nous sommes restés dans la superbe vallée de San Gerardo de Dota qui héberge des quetzals à l'année grâce à la présence d'avocatiers du Guatemala - dont ils se nourissent des fruits. Le domaine de l'hôtel comporte un jardin aménagé pour les nombreux colibris, divers sentiers de randonnée, dont certains particulièrement prisés des ornithologues, ainsi qu'un mirador offrant un superbe panorama sur la vallée. Nous avons réalisé une sortie d'observation du quetzal (entre autres) en compagnie de Raul Fernandez Chacon (Whatsapp +***********), petit-fils des pionniers qui se sont établis dans la vallée; a réserver en direct ou par le biais de l'hôtel. Spa équippé de jacuzzis et d'un sauna et restaurant impeccables.

It should be the best hotel in downtown San Jose, with comfortable beds and pillows. Guest service is also ok. The breakfast is too bad, it is not worth the price. It is recommended that if one lives, or stays next to Sheraton, half of the price, but the room is large, breakfast is very rich.

GGuest UserThe hostel is very nice and stylishly furnished and is very well located near the city center, so that all the big museums and the theater as well as many bars, cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. It is a hostel, so you can't expect absolute peace and quiet, but I didn't find it disturbing. Street noise is negligible. The staff is very friendly and helpful, everything is clean. By car from the airport, the journey takes about 40 minutes outside of rush hour.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Los Quetzales National Park and finally we stayed in the magnificent valley of San Gerardo de Dota, which hosts quetzals a year thanks to the presence of Guatemalan lawyers - whose fruits they eat. The hotel's area includes a garden designed for the many colibris, a variety of walkways, some of which are particularly attractive to ornithologs, and a mirador with a magnificent view of the valley. We have performed a Quetzal observation (including) with Raul Fernandez Chacon (Whatsapp +***********), grandson of the pioneers who established themselves in the valley; The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, and is located in the heart of the city centre.
