We stayed at East Lake Hotel, Tingtao 2#, for three nights in August 2025, it was great, highly recommend ! East Lake Hotel is known for its beautiful scenery, just as expected, the view was absolutely stunning, but what was better than the view was the best customer service. They assigned a staff member, Ms. Yu, to help us. Ms. Yu gave us her WeChat contact information so we can reach out easily. Ms. Yu was professional and courteous, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, any concern / issue we had, she handled it quickly, including helping out with the laundry! We stayed at other Five Star hotels in Wuhan, Beijing, and Shanghai, but no other hotel provided this level of service. The front desk was also very helpful. Last but not the least, their breakfast buffet was the best among the 6 hotels we stayed for this trip. Beautiful place on the lake, close to Shiyan centre. Amazing tranquility, beautiful thoughtful design, pure Bliss and peace. Lovely family running the place. Big tasty breakfast. Will be happy to come back. Thank you for your hospitality.

The hotel looks like it does in the photos: a very pretty colonial building on the outside and very well decorated on the inside. The room we had was very comfortable and it was very nice of the hotel staff to give us a free upgrade to a slightly larger room. The location is great, right next to another significant colonial building and the pedestrian street. It is also close to a wharf that has ferries to the other side of the river which you can take for ¥1.5 and it will get you to the famous bridge and within walking distance of the Yellow Crane Tower. There is a nice rooftop bar / restaurant, we did not eat there but went up to take some photos.

The hotel room was very cozy and the service was excellent.Patrick took me to the airport. As my leg was froctured, he pushed the wheelchair all the way to the security. check and made a smooth handover with the ariline staff. An absolutely amazing hotel. I think it’s the best one we’ve ever stayed at. Everything is clean, incredibly beautiful, and cozy. The reception staff are friendly, and the breakfasts are delicious. This place has everything you need for a great trip. My husband and I don’t speak Chinese, and the staff helped us with everything — ordering room service, showing us the way to the laundry, and they even upgraded our room for free and gave us a drink and fruit platter voucher for our anniversary. It was such a sweet gesture, and we were genuinely impressed and happy with our stay. 🫠🥰

The service is good and the room is clean. Despite the harsh weather conditions, the room is always cool. Well ventilated. They also have a handsome and beautiful receptionist who always welcomes customers with a smile. Despite the language barrier, I enjoy my days in their facilities. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I'll simply say that this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Value for money, design of my liking, exceptional service, excellent location are a few of the reasons why I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a vacation in Yichang. I would like to mention the exceptional service given by Ms. Xiaolin, Ms. NiuNiu and Ms. MiaoMiao. They went the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one. Room was a good size, cleaned everyday with complementary snacks and drinks replaced daily. Breakfast was really good too, we looked forward to it everyday for the 5 nights we stayed here. There is a laundry area you can use anytime you wish, a gym and a nearby park you can enjoy overlooking Yangtze river. It was easy to go around too, we booked Didi taxi even late at night and encountered no problems. We hope to stay here again next time we visit Yichang!
