"I arrived before 2pm (start of checkin) and they let me enter my room. I was so lucky and thankful as my journey to Jeddah was tiring :-) In between my stays I often asked the reception to send the housekeeping into my room to set it up a little bit when I’m off in the city and the housekeeping did an excellent job! Everything was clean and well equipped. And I got my water and coffee daily. The area around this Ibis hotel is okayish. Could be better and without a car it can be dangerous, too as there is a highway with lots of traffic next to it. But I somehow managed it to walk some distances although Jeddah isn’t a walkable city. The closest supermarket is as Danube and about a 20 minute walk. The closest bus stop to get to the historic city center of Jeddah was also a 20 minute walk. Unfortunately on my last day the reception called me at around 11:30am and was asking why I didn’t check out. I told them that when I checked in I asked for a late checkout and the receptionist agreed to 1:30pm. I told him to type it into the system, but he didn’t. Otherwise no one would have called me before. Please update your staff especially when I did give a notice to do so and to avoid the calls when I need some proper rest before a long journey. All in all my experience was nice. I even visited the gym, which was well equipped. 5 stars goes to the excellent housekeeping!!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟"

"I booked this hotel for my parents. They had to spend a night in Jeddah before going to Makkah. My parents loved this hotel and said that the staff were very friendly, shuttle service to and from the airport was every hour which was very convenient, location is great for transit or a long layover. "Ik heb het genoegen gehad om in het Violet Hotel in Mekka, Saoedi-Arabië, te verblijven en ik wilde mijn ervaring delen met iedereen die een reis naar deze heilige stad overweegt. Ten eerste is de locatie absoluut fantastisch. Het hotel ligt op korte afstand van de Haram, waardoor het ongelooflijk handig is om te bidden en religieuze plichten na te leven. Het uitzicht vanuit mijn kamer bood een prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving, wat een serene sfeer gaf die bijdroeg aan mijn spirituele reis. Het personeel van het Violet Hotel verdient een speciale vermelding. Vanaf het moment dat ik incheckte, waren ze ongelooflijk gastvrij en behulpzaam. Ze deden er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat mijn verblijf comfortabel en zorgeloos was. De conciërgeservice was bijzonder behulpzaam bij het regelen van lokaal vervoer en het geven van advies over bezienswaardigheden. De kamers waren ruim, schoon en goed onderhouden. Ik waardeerde de moderne voorzieningen zoals gratis wifi, flatscreen-tv's en een volledig gevulde minibar. Het bed was zeer comfortabel, waardoor ik gemakkelijk de broodnodige rust kon vinden na lange dagen van gebed en verkenning. Het schoonmaakpersoneel deed uitstekend werk en zorgde ervoor dat de kamer elke dag brandschoon was. Een van de hoogtepunten van mijn verblijf waren de eetgelegenheden in het hotel. Het ontbijtbuffet bood een ruime keuze, van lokale Saoedische gerechten tot internationale gerechten, allemaal bereid met verse ingrediënten. Ik heb ook een paar keer in het eigen restaurant gegeten en de maaltijden waren absoluut verrukkelijk. Wat betreft faciliteiten, biedt het Violet Hotel diverse voorzieningen die de gastervaring verbeteren. Er is een goed uitgeruste fitnessruimte, wat ik erg handig vond om mijn sportroutine bij te houden. Het businesscentrum kwam ook goed van pas toen ik tijdens mijn verblijf wat werk moest inhalen. Al met al was mijn ervaring in het Violet Hotel uitzonderlijk. Of je nu Mekka bezoekt voor een spirituele pelgrimstocht of gewoon om de stad te verkennen, ik kan een verblijf hier ten zeerste aanbevelen. De combinatie van de toplocatie, uitstekende service, comfortabele accommodaties en fantastische eetgelegenheden maakt het een geweldige keuze voor elke reiziger."

"I arrived from Makkah were I had an awful experience and stay at the hotel Marriott Courtyard (very dirty and I got an asthma crisis because of that, an horrible one). At our arrival at the Movempick hotel, Mr Abdelrahman, the responsable in the lobby for the reservation without knowing my story but, certainly by seeing my state, upgrade discretely my reservation. It was a beautiful and spacious room. Exactly what my husband and I needed 🥰 at this time. A very warmly Thank you.. you will find it on your way inchallah. Regarding the hotel, it is very clean, very professional and friendly staff. The only missing points: a spa , a sauna and a bigger swimming pool ( it was a children swimming pool ) . Thank you 🙏"
