"Waarschijnlijk het meest fotogenieke hotel in Zhangjiajie, met 32 kamers. Ik verbleef in een kamer met uitzicht op de bergen. De kamer was niet groot, maar het bed sliep erg comfortabel, een beetje als een tatami-ervaring. De fitnessruimte op het dak was niet geweldig, leek meer op een decoratie. De service was uitzonderlijk vriendelijk; ze maakten een groepschat aan en boden een pendeldienst aan (je mocht er een kiezen). Het is duidelijk dat ze veel waarde hechten aan service. De geluidsisolatie was wat zwak; het openen van de deur van de tegenoverliggende kamer klonk erg hard. Eerst dacht ik dat het het geluid van de badkamer ernaast was. Ik denk dat er bij de wastafel een extra prullenbak zou moeten staan. Over het algemeen ben ik erg tevreden en zou ik hier graag nog eens verblijven."

"De locatie van het hotel is in Chaozong Street, slechts een onderdoorgang verwijderd van Guojin Street. Ik wilde niet in Guojin Street verblijven, dat is te lawaaierig. Het ligt ongeveer 500 meter van het metrostation Wuyi Square. Ik heb lang gezocht op Ctrip en Qunar voordat ik dit hotel vond. Tot mijn verrassing overtrof het echter alle verwachtingen. Binnen 100 meter kun je 'Tea Yanyuese' en diverse snacks kopen. Dit is een lokaal hotel uit Hunan, geen landelijke keten, maar de ontwerper heeft duidelijk veel talent: elk detail is zorgvuldig en inventief, met overal mooie uitzichten. Overal in het hotel, inclusief de hoeken van de kamers, kun je prachtige foto's maken. De kamer was schoon, zonder stof. Bovendien zijn de faciliteiten uitstekend. De eerste dag had ik 35.000 stappen gelopen en was doodmoe. Tijdens het douchen merkte ik hoe heerlijk de douchekop was, erg ontspannend. De watertemperatuur was stabiel en het warme water kwam er supersnel uit. En dan het matras, je moet erop liggen om het te geloven. Ik boekte een kamer met projector, luisterde naar muziek en keek naar een videoclip, zo ontspannend, ik viel snel in slaap. Ik wil ook de waterkoker prijzen. Ik had mijn eigen waterkoker deze keer niet meegenomen en maakte me zorgen, maar bij het hotel ontdekte ik dat de deksel van hun waterkoker geopend kon worden, zodat ik hem grondig kon schoonmaken en gebruiken. Dit loste het probleem op van warm water drinken in de winter. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid, met lokale gerechten, dus het was eigenlijk niet nodig om buiten in de winkelstraat iets te kopen. Dit hotel is in alle opzichten attent en bevredigend, en de service van Sisi was uitstekend. Nadat ik Ctrip-punten had ingewisseld, was de kamerprijs 280 yuan. Voor deze prijs zou een landelijk hotelketen zeker van slechte kwaliteit zijn, maar als lokaal hotel ben ik hier zeer tevreden over. Ik zou zelfs nog een keer naar Changsha willen komen speciaal voor dit hotel, hahahaha. Mijn kind vroeg zelfs: 'Bestaat dit hotel alleen in Changsha?' We zijn echt zo tevreden. Tot slot, de gids die het hotel me gaf, met aanbevolen restaurants, was zeer betrouwbaar. Ik ben niet naar de populaire 'influencer'-restaurants gegaan, maar naar de plekken waar de lokale bevolking komt, die zijn veel betrouwbaarder."

"Hoewel het een B&B is, zijn zowel de service als de accommodatie uitstekend! Het is echt een verborgen juweeltje. De vriendelijke receptioniste heeft geduldig en uitgebreid de reisroutes van Zhangjiajie uitgelegd, en heeft geholpen met het kopen van voordeelpakketten en het maken van reserveringen. De eigenaar was ook erg aardig, hij verzorgde het vervoer voor het eten en van en naar de oostpoort van het toeristische gebied van Zhangjiajie. De B&B is nieuw gerenoveerd, de kamers zijn groot en de inrichting sprak me erg aan. De doucheruimte en het toilet zijn gescheiden, het beddengoed is comfortabel en alles was hygiënisch schoon. Het ontbijt had ook veel variatie, was hygiënisch schoon en de service was goed. Ik wil iedereen waarschuwen om niet bij de zuidelijke poort te verblijven, de accommodatie daar is verschrikkelijk. Vergeleken met deze plek is het echt een wereld van verschil!"

"Ik vind het ontwerp van dit hotel echt artistiek. De baas zei dat het pas meer dan 10 dagen open was. De muren en plafonds van de kamer leken van diatomeeënaarde gemaakt. Geen wonder dat de nieuwe inrichting geurloos is. De bazin is deugdzaam. Zodra je de kamer binnenkomt, kun je genieten van fruit en thee. Deze bessenthee is echt heerlijk. Ik heb trouwens een zakje gekocht. De kamer is schoon en comfortabel. Het balkon is echt comfortabel. Je kunt de bergen voelen vanaf een hoog uitkijkpunt. Er hangt zelfs een grote bijenkorf aan de hoge boom tegenover, haha... Tot slot was ik vooral onder de indruk van hun beddengoed. Het is echt goed en erg comfortabel. Het voelt aan als dezelfde stijl als het Marriott Hotel. Ik kan het van harte aanbevelen."

"Dit is een erg fijne B&B. Hij is schoon, hygiënisch en ze kunnen zelfs de was doen. Of je nu in de kamer zit of in bed ligt, je hebt altijd uitzicht op de rivier en de nacht. Het is een geweldig gevoel. Ik kwam 's ochtends aan en omdat ik 's middags al incheckte, maakte ik een wandeling door de omgeving en realiseerde me hoe geweldig de locatie was. Taiping Old Street, Pozi Street, Xiangjiang River en Du Fu Jiangge liggen allemaal heel dichtbij. Het metrostation May Day Square is ook heel dichtbij. Ik kan het iedereen van harte aanbevelen."

De kamer was brandschoon, het beddengoed voelde fris aan en de kamer had een heerlijke lichtinval, waardoor het er heel comfortabel was. De locatie van het hotel is ook super handig; je loopt zo naar de Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area en het is ook niet ver naar nabijgelegen winkelcentra om te eten en te shoppen. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid met veel keuzes zoals pap, broodjes en kleine gerechten, en de smaak was ook prima. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en begroette je altijd proactief. De volgende keer dat ik hier ben, kies ik zeker weer voor dit hotel!"

"Xiao Le en Xiao Fang zijn twee fantastische medewerkers! Toen we iets kwijt waren, kwamen ze proactief naar ons toe om te vragen of ze konden helpen, nog voordat wij er zelf naar hoefden te zoeken. Het hotel zelf is ook uitstekend, met een ontzettend gastvrije service. Ik kan dit hotel dan ook van harte aanbevelen! Er is ook een zwembad en het ontbijt was heerlijk. Helaas moesten we tijdens de meivakantie elke dag vroeg op pad, waardoor we maar één keer van het ontbijt hebben kunnen genieten. De daktuin was een absolute verrassing! De sterjasmijn stond prachtig in bloei, en we hebben er een heerlijke middag doorgebracht."

Manxin was the third boutique hotel I chose for my trip to Hunan. It's located in a village nestled in the mountains. The owner leased nearly a hundred acres of land to create the idyllic farm he envisioned. Several two-story buildings are artfully scattered amidst rice paddies and lotus ponds. An infinity pool offers unparalleled views of the distant mountains. The rice seedlings have just been planted, and in a few months, one can truly experience the scene described by Xin Qiji: 'A bountiful harvest is spoken of amidst the fragrance of rice flowers, as the croaking of frogs fills the air.' **Environment:** The hotel's environment is exceptional. Surrounded by distant mountains, perched on a gentle slope, every room offers expansive views of lush greenery. The rice fields are close by, and at night, the sound of frogs fills the air. Each room boasts a large balcony. Sitting there, breathing in the fresh mountain air, sipping a cup of tea or coffee, time seems to slow down. **Hygiene:** The hotel's hygiene is top-notch. Despite being surrounded by farmland, there are surprisingly no mosquitoes or other insects in the rooms, which is quite rare. **Facilities:** As a meticulously crafted guesthouse, it offers all the amenities of a high-end hotel, especially the infinity pool with its unbeatable mountain views – truly an inspired touch. Of course, as a 'wild luxury' (my own definition) hotel, to encourage guests to truly reconnect with nature, the rooms intentionally lack televisions. This thoughtful decision is commendable! **Service:** Being far from the city, service is particularly important for guests. The hotel provides dedicated butlers who promptly address guests' questions and requests. Their efficiency is high, usually responding to guests almost immediately. The hotel offers complimentary airport/train station transfers, as well as unlimited complimentary transfers to the Zimu Pass (middle gate) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which is incredibly helpful for guests. **In summary:** This is a uniquely positioned hotel. For travelers who love nature, appreciate peace and a slower pace, and have high standards for hotel quality, this hotel is definitely worth a short stay. **Final Suggestion:** Given its rural location, its own farmland, and the fact that it raises poultry and bees, the hotel should further leverage its unique advantages in terms of ingredients and cuisine. It could also appropriately guide local farmers to cultivate organic vegetables, fruits, and various eco-friendly produce, making a beneficial contribution to rural revitalization. I believe some guests would appreciate this.

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie! We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival. The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.

Cangshan Shadow Villa is truly a hidden gem in Zhangjiajie! Its location is a major advantage—very close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and just a short drive to Baofeng Lake Scenic Area, making getting around and sightseeing extremely convenient. Tucked away in a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle, the guesthouse features its own vegetable garden in the courtyard. You can see rolling distant mountains the moment you open the window, creating an immersive, rustic mountain atmosphere. The guest rooms are spotlessly clean, with meticulous attention paid to hygiene details. The room amenities are thoughtfully chosen, featuring De Rucci mattresses paired with goose-down bedding that is soft and comfortable. There is also Evian bottled water and high-end toiletries, making it a wonderful experience to come back and rest after a tiring day of hiking. The owner and their family are warm and attentive, offering free pick-up and drop-off services throughout the area. They also helped us customize a complete Zhangjiajie travel itinerary based on our schedule, patiently explaining the attractions and ticketing details, which saved us a huge amount of hassle in planning. The guesthouse is packed with facilities, including a mountain-view swimming pool, a calligraphy room, a KTV, and a tea room. During downtime, you can sip tea in the courtyard, practice calligraphy, and quietly take in the mountain views. The restaurant is headed by a professional chef; breakfast can be customized upon request, using fresh ingredients and delivering outstanding flavors. From the hardware, cleanliness, service, and dining to the facilities, everything is exceptional. Whether you are entering through the East Gate of the Forest Park or visiting Baofeng Lake, Huanglong Cave, or the Grand Canyon, it makes the whole trip worry-free. Highly recommended! The next time we visit Zhangjiajie, we will definitely choose to stay at Cangshan Shadow Villa again!

The scenery at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is truly stunning. The house is located not far from the west gate. The landlady booked a ride from Zhangjiajie West Station to the park for 40 yuan, along with entrance fees for the scenic spots. The total cost for my 15-year-old daughter and I was 769 yuan. Zhangjiajie tickets are ridiculously expensive! The owner drove us back to Zhangjiajie West Station for 120 yuan. The house is a log cabin with poor soundproofing. The bathroom smells terrible. There's no toilet paper or disposable slippers, so you need to bring your own. The mouthwash cup was dirty and I didn't dare use it. Since the house is on the second floor, it was incredibly hot. The bath soap in the bathroom was still warm when I showered at night. After lunch, I went out to play and left the air conditioning on. When I returned, I found the owner had turned it off! The room was incredibly hot, and the air conditioning wasn't working. Even after showering, the room was still incredibly hot, and I broke into another sweat! I stayed for two days, ordering food from them the whole time. We ended up going out and returning to our room before 8pm. The owner, probably annoyed by our late return, had a very long face and was making a lot of noise while cooking. I kept saying thank you for cooking for us so late, but they're making money by eating at their place, so why are they being so rude?! I paid the landlady over 600 yuan for two days' worth of food, plus 120 yuan for a ride to the station. I also asked her to buy a watermelon, two plums, and two peaches for 30 yuan. When I left, she asked me to write a good review and said she'd give me a red envelope. I think I have to share my real stay experience with everyone!

I had a great stay at the Yujie Hotel during my visit to Zhangjiajie. The hotel has a clean and grand ambiance, with a bright and tidy lobby. The corridors and common areas are tastefully decorated, making me feel very relaxed. The location is also a big plus, not far from the scenic area and major attractions in the city, making travel convenient. It's also easy to find places to eat and buy local specialties nearby, and accessible whether you're taking a taxi or driving. The room facilities are relatively new, with well-functioning air conditioning, hot water, TV, and Wi-Fi. The bedding was just right in terms of firmness, allowing for a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast is worth commending; there was a rich variety of dishes, including hot food, pastries, fruits, porridge, noodles, and more, all tasting good. Eating a full breakfast before heading up the mountain gave me plenty of energy. The front desk and service staff were enthusiastic and efficient, responding quickly to any issues. The only thing I felt could be improved was the cleanliness details. Overall, it's excellent value for money. I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Zhangjiajie and would recommend it to friends planning to visit.

We came to Zhangjiajie for a trip, originally prepared for 20,000 steps of walking every day. However, once we arrived at the B&B, our 'special forces' itinerary turned into a relaxed vacation. The B&B is right next to the Tianzishan ticket station, so while others were still queuing to enter the park, we just strolled right in. All the time saved was spent enjoying our room, which had a 100-inch projector. After dinner, we'd watch a movie, and the next day, we'd sleep until we naturally woke up. This feeling of not having to rush, this sense of ease, was more valuable than seeing any sight.

The best hotel we had on a 30 days trip through China starting in Chongquing to Shenzhen. This was THE ONLY staff speaking English fluently. Especially the super friendly girl doing the reception. She is the soul of this hotel. She managed everything people needed and was always smiling and really cute. The room are huge, the bathroom as well. It’s excellent clean and super cozy. They offer 2 washing machines, 2 tumble dryers and laundry detergent for free 👏👏 great. Best breakfast we ever had in China for both Chinese and foreign guest. Definitely world class premises- the only one in 30 days roadtrip. Free parking spaces and a very well equipped supermarket right in from the reception 👌 only negative thing is the woman sitting right in front of the hotel, screaming 10 times „hello“ at the guest and trying to sell her raw pumpkins. Not once, not twice- but everytime a guest shows up. I mean-what should a hotel guest do with a raw pumpkin??? I won’t start a barbecue in my room 🤦🏼♀️ she is extremely stupid and extremely annoying. If the hotel could manage to remove her from that place, that would be nothing negative to mention. Thank you guys for making our stay really remarkable. 🙏🏻❤️

With pick-up and drop-off service from/to the train station, hotel, and Furong Ancient Town. This makes the location convenient. The staff tried to help as much as they could. The staff is friendly. They even offer some tea, snacks, and goodbye gifts. They are thoughtful. The hotel is renovated from an old, tired building. With the service of the friendly staff, they compensate for the shortcomings in other ways. Although the breakfast is buffet-style, the majority of the guests are Koreans and Chinese, so the food is not very international, but it's the same in most hotels locally since it's a village. The rooms are spacious that comes with a coffee/dining area. Since it's a night stay, and we spent most of the time at ”Furong Ancient Town” itself, we didn't stay much in the hotel. We are thankful to the staff for being helpful and efficient.
