On the second day of Zhongwei, we stayed at the Mercure Hotel with Star Lake View Resort in the Wild. I didn't expect the service of this hotel to be so good! My girlfriend and I came to Zhongwei to play. We were carrying a large suitcase. The boss sent a car to pick us up to the hotel for free. During the summer peak season, it was not easy to take a taxi. When we checked out, we also arranged a car for us in advance. We also presented two bottles of drinks for us to drink on the road. The hotel's evening activities are particularly rich, with a bonfire party and fireworks show. We enjoy the beautiful scenery of the camp under the galaxy starry sky, which is very romantic.

The room was very clean and the waiter was very sincere. Because my car had some problems, they helped me contact them. In addition, I booked an extra day because I was waiting for the car to be repaired. Later, the car was repaired. I checked out this morning and refunded the money. The waiter was very good. I stayed in an air-conditioned cabin without a private bathroom this time. It was cleaner than I expected. I'd recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops for the shared showers. Other amenities like toothbrushes and towels were disposable, which was great. Getting a taxi was difficult, but the host was incredibly thoughtful and came to pick us up. There was a bonfire party in the evening, and they set off fireworks like there was no tomorrow! Watching the stars and fireworks in the desert was absolutely beautiful!

I chose this hotel because of the free airport pickup and drop-off service, which was a decisive factor for me. The butler contacted us in advance and arranged the pickup, even sending us a small guide and restaurant recommendations, which were all very clear. The hotel environment is also excellent, the driver was very friendly, and the room was super comfortable. I do have a small suggestion though: there seemed to be too few trash cans. It would be much more convenient if the small tabletop bins were replaced with larger ones. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and there was also complimentary late-night congee available, so if you don't feel like going out in the evening, you can easily have a satisfying meal here. The surroundings of the hotel are also lovely; on a clear night, you can even enjoy moon gazing. Overall, I give my stay a full 5 stars.

Extremely satisfied with this trip! The hostess contacted us in advance, and her attitude was thoughtful and lovely. She informed us that the room might not be big enough and upgraded us, also asking if we'd like to order meals. Since our itinerary was quite tight, we didn't order food this time, but we should definitely try it next time. The B&B's environment was a wonderful surprise, located amidst a large vineyard. A short bike ride away, the entire Helan Mountain range appears before your eyes. The restaurant also offers an unbeatable view. The tour of the winery was a nice addition too. Overall, there's so much waiting for everyone to discover. I regret only booking for one day; a more leisurely stay would have been even better.

The experience was fantastic! The tents were clean and spacious, and the availability of hot showers and WiFi in the desert was a pleasant surprise. The Milky Way was breathtaking, and every photo you took looked like a masterpiece. The owner was welcoming, and the program was extensive. Highly recommended!

I chose this hotel for my business trip! The location is excellent, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the ventilation is great. The staff are friendly, and check-in and check-out are quick. Overall, a fantastic experience, I'll definitely stay here again!

The biggest surprise of my trip to Zhongwei was staying at the Xiang Tengger Desert Hotel. Deep in the Tengger Desert, far from the hustle and bustle, the dedicated shuttle service made check-in hassle-free, saving us the trouble of driving into the sand ourselves. The rooms were clean and dry, which is quite rare for a desert environment, and the facilities exceeded our expectations. During the day, we enjoyed playing on the sand dunes, with plenty of activities like sandboarding and other desert adventures that kept the kids entertained. In the evening, we waited for the stunning desert sunset, and after dark, there was a bonfire party and fireworks. Looking up, we could see the brilliant Milky Way – the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The staff were warm and attentive, quickly resolving any issues we had. Overall, it perfectly blended wilderness adventure with comfort, making it ideal for a family trip. If I ever return to the Zhongwei desert, I'll definitely stay here again.

Facilities: Plenty of electrical outlets in the room, and the bathroom drains quickly. Cleanliness: One of the few rooms in Zhongwei that doesn't have sand in it, a real treat for those who love neatness. Everything in the room was spotless and dust-free. Location: Easy to find near the Drum Tower, with a large supermarket within 500 meters. Service: No room inspection required for check-out, free use of bar items, and a particularly hearty and delicious breakfast. Take a photo! Luggage was immediately taken after parking, and the restaurant service was excellent.

A very new hotel with larger-than-life rooms and beds that feel like apartments. The location is midway between Shapotou and Zhongwei City, so it may not be ideal for some looking for nightlife, but there are several inexpensive restaurants in walking distance, so it's easy enough to get food. The bus stop of number 2 going to the city and the sand dunes is 5 minutes walk away - just time it right because there's one bus per hour in each direction. There's Chinese-style breakfast included which may not be for everyone but it was filling. Definitely worth the money! Had a blissful rest here and would go back.
