"Misschien omdat mijn verwachtingen niet hooggespannen waren, was ik toch tevreden. Ik heb lang naar een hotel gezocht uit angst om een slechte keuze te maken. De omgeving is erg schoon. Hoewel het halverwege de reis wat afgelegen aanvoelt, is de gratis luchthavenshuttle erg handig, slechts ongeveer tien minuten, de service is erg goed en het is erg geschikt als rustplaats. Het enige probleem is dat de geluidsisolatie te slecht is. Je hoort harde douchegeluiden in de gang. Ook woon ik in een kamer onderaan de trap, dus als ik 's nachts slaap, hoor ik iemand boven mijn hoofd de trap op en af lopen. Verder is alles geweldig!"

"De hotelervaring was uitstekend en de algehele service was bevredigend. Ten eerste is de locatie van het hotel zeer gunstig, dicht bij het stadscentrum, met talloze restaurants en winkels in de buurt, en ook het openbaar vervoer is zeer goed geregeld. De kamer was ruim en licht, met een eenvoudige, moderne inrichting. Het bed was extreem comfortabel, wat zorgde voor een heerlijke nachtrust. De badkamer was schoon en netjes, en de toiletartikelen waren van hoge kwaliteit, wat zorgde voor een zeer ontspannen verblijf.
Wat de service betreft, het hotelpersoneel was buitengewoon vriendelijk en professioneel. Het in- en uitchecken verliep soepel, en het personeel bij de receptie was hartelijk, attent en altijd bereid om te helpen. De kamer was brandschoon en de badkamer was voorzien van desinfecterende doekjes op alcoholbasis, een echt attent gebaar. "Hotel was 15-20min ride away from the airport, not as close as I expected it to be. But they have free hotel shuttle to pick you to and fro the airport which is good. But bad thing is you will need to share the transport with other travellers and if they are late, you’ll have to wait for them.
Room was spacious and relatively clean. However, we travelled in Jan and it was soooo cold even after turning on the heating in the room. The room’s heating has to be improved. It was even colder than the rooms we stayed in Harbin."

"The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated!
For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view!
I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation.
I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali."

"Alles was bijna perfect, maar ik gaf het toch een 5/5, op een paar minpuntjes na die ik zal toelichten.
Het hotel is erg moeilijk te vinden voor buitenlanders die geen Chinees kunnen lezen, schrijven of spreken. Sterker nog, het hotel ligt naast de ingang van een kleine winkel zonder bordjes of hotelnaam in het Engels. Mensen op straat wisten niet eens dat er een hotel was.
Verder is het goed gelegen, dicht bij alles.
We kregen de eerste nacht een kamer zonder ramen, maar het hotel was zo vriendelijk om ons de t****e nacht zonder extra kosten naar een andere kamer te verplaatsen.
Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en we konden communiceren via een tolk.
We zouden een auto huren bij het treinstation, maar zonder telefoon was dat niet mogelijk, en omdat we geen Chinees verstaan, was het onmogelijk om te vragen.
Dit waren de kleine logistieke problemen op de eerste dag."

"Mengzi Hampton by Hilton - Staff at reception was helpful As we wish to have a snack before we check in, we were told to leave our luggage in a room on 1/F opposite to the reception counter on the right. It was done as said. When we return to the hotel in about 30 min, no one was there and we went into the room and get our luggage. Not much security there!?! Despite of this, attitude of staff is very good.
Breakfast in the hotel is excellent. Since we stayed there only 1 night, did not look into available facilities. Room and linen are clean. It would be better if there is a luggage rack in the room, then we did not have to put our suitcases on the little round coffee table and on the chair. As we are senior, it is very difficult for us to leave the suitcases on
the floor.
Yuanyang Huawowo - excellent location for sunrise over the tier fields. All is good; the 20-25 minutes walk from carpark to hotel is a bit challenging for senior. There is a built-in rack for suitcase. Breakfast is tasty, choice of western breakfast(eggs and toast) or local Chinese rice noodles. Staff is very efficient and cooperative. The toilet and sank area in the room is partitioned nicely, but lacking a little privacy as there is no door to the toilet.
Jianshui White Hotel - excellent location in Jianshui old town. Breakfast is healthy, bento box of corn, congee, vegetable and egg in addition to a bowl of local Chinese rice noodles. Again no luggage rack. Staff is attentive and efficient though."

"De beste keuze voor reizen! Een veilige haven naast het treinstation.
Dit verblijf in het Holiday Inn Express Kunming Railway Station was fantastisch, absoluut een uitstekende keuze voor zakenreizen en tussenstops! Het hotel ligt tegenover het treinstation van Kunming, op slechts een paar minuten lopen. Voor reizigers die de trein moeten halen met bagage, is dit een 'levensreddende' afstand, je hoeft je geen zorgen te maken over te laat komen of vast te komen zitten in het verkeer.
Als een merk van IHG zijn de hygiënenormen geruststellend. De kamer was netjes, het beddengoed comfortabel, de waterdruk in de douche was uitstekend en het warme water kwam snel, waardoor de vermoeidheid van de reis wegspoelde.
De service was attent, het inchecken aan de receptie verliep snel en medewerker Xiao Xia was enthousiast en beantwoordde al onze vragen. De volgende keer dat ik in Kunming ben en accommodatie bij het treinstation nodig heb, zal ik zeker weer voor deze plek kiezen."

GGuest UserOur 'butler service' means you get a dedicated butler providing one-on-one service from the moment you check in. They'll contact you in advance to confirm your arrival time, arrange shuttle pick-up, and send friendly reminders about breakfast times and other important notes via group chat.
Facilities: The hairdryer's airflow is really weak, not even as strong as the wind off Erhai Lake! The bedside lamp isn't working, but everything else is okay.
Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and no strange smells – pretty good.
Environment: The space is large and bright. My only complaint is the view from the window isn't great.
Service: The service is excellent; anything we needed was delivered to the room very quickly, and the breakfast tasted good.
Honestly, the view from the guest room window is quite disappointing.

XXiaozhaiginoThis French-style courtyard hotel in Lijiang perfectly met all my needs! 🏡 It's just a twenty-minute walk to the Big Waterwheel, so I didn't have to deal with the crowds at the Old Town entrance. Being off the main thoroughfare meant I could explore the Old Town at my leisure, avoiding all the noise. The moment I stepped through the gate, the street noise just vanished. This perfectly solved the common problem of Old Town guesthouses being noisy due to their proximity to the street and constant tourist traffic. The suite was spacious and didn't feel cramped, unlike many other guesthouses. While the room itself didn't offer a snow-capped mountain view, the exclusive rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing, enjoying the breeze, and gazing at the distant, continuous mountain range – truly a cure for travel fatigue. The concierge was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout my stay, promptly responding to any requests, which saved me the hassle of worrying about everything when I went out. The breakfast was decent and convenient, so I didn't have to search for food elsewhere. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; the outside tourist noise didn't disturb my rest at all. It truly offered a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle. Both the location, comfort, and service were ideal. I'll definitely be choosing this courtyard again on my next trip to Lijiang.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy.
The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything.
If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

GGuest UserThis hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town. Its Wabi-sabi style decor is tasteful and chic, and the quality truly rivals hotels that cost 2,000 RMB a night. My friend and I stayed for two nights and we honestly didn't want to check out. We've already promised each other we'll come back to Shangri-La just for this hotel. Hope it continues to thrive!

It's full of Southeast Asian charm, surrounded by lush rainforest greenery, and the pool light show creates an incredible atmosphere. The room was spacious and smart, with a Dyson hairdryer and Atelier Cologne toiletries, which really elevated the experience. The balcony offered a super relaxing view. The butler service was attentive, and they even offered pick-up and drop-off. The Dai-style rice noodles for breakfast were amazing. Absolutely fantastic value for money, definitely my top choice for accommodation in Banna!

Seriously, I'm so grateful! The biggest surprise of my Dali trip wasn't the ancient city or Erhai Lake, but this forest B&B nestled halfway up Cangshan Mountain 🌿. As we drove up from the city, the urban hustle and bustle slowly faded, replaced by lush greenery and the sound of pine trees swaying in the wind.
🌄 **The Rooftop is Pure Soul:** I was absolutely stunned the moment I stepped onto the rooftop – the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stood behind me like a majestic screen, with the entire Erhai Lake and scattered Bai ethnic villages stretching out below. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were faintly visible. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a sea of rolling clouds. In the evening, I'd sit on the swing chair on the terrace, watching the sunset paint Erhai Lake a honeyed gold 🍯. At night, a glance upwards showed the Milky Way so clearly it brought tears to my eyes ✨.
🌿 **Immersive Mountain Living:** Hydrangeas were in full bloom in the courtyard, and dappled sunlight filtered through the treetops onto the wooden floors. The natural wood-toned room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, making it feel like sleeping right in the forest 🌲. There were also three resident cats, each with their own unique personality, taking turns on patrol. Every day was spent petting cats, gazing at the mountains, and simply daydreaming – my phone stayed at 90% battery, I didn't even want to touch it.

DDenisStaying in the Jacuzzi Villa was an absolute delight! The Naxi-style courtyard was elegant and peaceful, and the private, temperature-controlled Jacuzzi was clean and comfortable. Soaking under the stars at night melted away all my travel fatigue. I must commend Elin, our butler, for her outstanding service. From coordinating before our arrival to her attentive care during our stay, she was always quick to respond to any needs. She was thoughtful and professional, never intrusive, which truly enhanced the relaxing vacation vibe. The facilities were excellent, and the service was an added bonus – a perfect Lijiang getaway! Highly recommended!

AAggieThe room was very clean, and the host was super friendly and helpful with luggage. There's also a Samoyed named Mitsu who is incredibly friendly; my kids absolutely adored her and couldn't bear to leave. The dog was very clean and well-behaved. Overall, the guesthouse was very quiet.

GGuest UserChoosing Yunying Chunxiao·Shuiyuan is truly a love-filled experience. The hotel is right on the shore of Erhai Lake, offering stunning views of the sea right from your window. Enjoying the sunset in the evening and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night is incredibly therapeutic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a simple yet sophisticated décor and complete with smart devices, making the stay super convenient.
Our butler, Ms. Su, was incredibly attentive and helpful, assisting with itinerary planning and recommending off-the-beaten-path attractions. From breakfast and evening sweet soup, the attention to detail was impeccable. The complimentary travel photography experience was also excellent; the photographer was very professional, taking photos in the public areas that turned out beautifully, and the rooftop camera position for panoramic views of Erhai Lake was absolutely stunning. If you want to experience a truly slow-paced life in Shuanglang, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
