"Op 14 oktober 2025 verbleef ik specifiek in dit hotel waar ik al heel lang naartoe wilde. Als je hier verblijft, moet je absoluut een kamer met rivierzicht kiezen; zo kun je direct vanuit je kamer genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht op de Yalu River Broken Bridge – dat is de echte waarde van een verblijf hier! Foto acht en negen tonen het uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Het hotel ligt direct tegenover de Yalu River Broken Bridge, een werkelijk unieke locatie. Hoewel de kamerfaciliteiten wat gedateerd zijn, waren ze nog steeds schoon, netjes en licht, en de badkamer had een aparte douche en toilet. Het hotel stelde ook een verrekijker op de kamer beschikbaar zodat gasten het landschap van Noord-Korea aan de overkant van de rivier konden bekijken."

The price reflects this as well, while still being expensive for a city like Shenyang. The staff are very friendly. They agreed to a late check-out. Breakfast is really poor for the price: the fruit juices come from cartons rather than being freshly pressed, the pastries are industrial, and the fried eggs are overcooked. I would recommend avoiding it."

"This is one of the best value-for-money hotels I’ve stayed at in China. If you don’t mind slightly aged furniture, this is a great choice and definitely worth considering. What I liked: • The location is very good, with many shopping malls nearby, including Walmart. • Despite the affordable price, the hotel still provides standard concierge services such as luggage delivery and welcome fruits, which was a nice touch. • The overall service level exceeded expectations for the price point. Tips: • If your booking does not include breakfast, you may want to check with the front desk — you might be in for a pleasant surprise. • For metro access, I preferred using Taiyuanjie Station instead of Shenyang Station, as it felt more convenient. Overall, a great budget-friendly option with good service and an excellent location."

"It was an amazing hotel with high level of luxury. Friendly staff. Location is excellent next to the most luxurious mall in Shenyang, Mixc, which can be accessible from the hotel through underground. Youth park is across the street from the hotel and it's a good place for a walk. Hotel is located in a very nice and safe area."

"We stayed as Family with 2 children at the Hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful. Also the rooms are comfortable and clean. The Hotel Location is close to the Train Station and some of the Tourist attractions. Unfortunately, there is not the „real pulse of Shenyang“, as it is More in a „railroad like“ area. "I like this hotel very much, not only the facilities are complete, but also the operation is very fine. The room was clean and odorless, and the bed quality was excellent. "Ok, location is good, because all the luxury brands are directly downstairs, but hey if you're not there to splurge, no point~ because getting to other popular shopping malls or tourist attraction, there's just no advantage. You may think you get VIP or warm greeting service, but honestly... only if you're lucky AND SEEN and if it's like from 12pm to 3pm? Cause i think that's when their staffs are alert. Next on, check-in is normal, nothing special, remember to pay a deposit. Next on, going to your room, someone will help you with your luggage to your room, which is great, because the floor is so carpeted it is hard to drag the luggage if it's really huge and heavy. Next on, the room... I have so much to comment. First of all, furniture looks old. Toilet is great (+1 point) because it is indeed the biggest and most spacious one i have seen. The cleaning folks does a good job cleaning the toilet BUT! i just cannot understand why can't they just change the smelly damped pillows???????? it's already there when we first checked in. It smells horrible, like your teenage cousin's wet sock after soccer practise in a shoe that never dried after washing. Gross! The really funny part is, you would imagined for such a huge room, the TV would be reasonably sized considering the distance from the bed. HAHAHHAHA, it's so small. I finally understand what it means by 'when someone is speechless, they really would laugh'. 人在无语的时候真的会笑. Like, you are a 5 star luxurious hotel but you can't give a bigger TV that has more modern functions???? Am i still living in the 2000s? Ok fine, maybe they have no budgets for upgrade, fine... It's not like we travel halfway across the globe to watch TV in bed. Next, TAKEAWAYS. Like this really made me so angry, they literally take no responsibility in helping you bring up the food. I mean I don't mind going down to take it myself but let me know i have to! They literally left my stuff there 30 mins until i called them. And the ridiculous part was the delivery guy actually took a photo to show me how he had already passed it to a staff and informed them to deliver it up! Next, their restaurant. Paid for a course meal, and instead of the dishes being served up one after another, they served everything up at one go... wow, ok fine no big deal. BUT dessert took 30 mins and not served. Do you know what is a coursed meal? Do you need to retrain your staffs? Do you think we could have finished the dishes so quickly? Aren't we supposed to savour the dishes and take our time because your head chef took time to design the menu and wine pairings? Like your service really defeats all purpose of us opting to have dinner there. So the irony is we were rushed through our food; we literally felt like we had to speed up because what if the dishes went cold. Then they took forever to serve dessert and we already told them we need had a movie coming up and we were running late. BAD SERVICE. Overall, my review for this hotel is that, you're lucky you HAD GOOD REPUTATION & BRANDING in the past, but you are FRAILING. You do not deserve 5 star in almost all areas non-related to location. Yes, you may be considered luxurious because you're at the most prime area of Shenyang but so what? Your service and facilities are at most mid-range 4 star. Even 4 star hotels now have robots that would deliver takeaways and TV bigger than yours, and their pillows are clean, what an absolute joke. OK, maybe let's not get so negative, last redeeming factor: you do have a nice view of the city. For service, you may want to learn from your peers like Sofitel, Atour or Serendipidia. You're welcome."

"When I ask to print out the invoice of 2 nights stay at the check-out desk, the person did not give me any invoice. I do not understand whether this is their regulation or not. I was expecting to receive the invoice for the 2 nights stay as usual. The reception did not even answer to my request on May 31st when she can give or not. If the person did not understand my English, then there should be a person to speak in English at least in the reception for Check-in and Check-out. That's is why I have chosen Sheraton hotel. It was no pleasant morning."
