Vriendelijk hotelpersoneel vlakbij Folkart. Ik kwam voor zaken en het was dichtbij. Ik had verwacht dat de kamer er luxueuzer uit zou zien voor de prijs die ik betaalde. Ik betaalde bijna 200 euro voor één kamer, dus ik verwachtte een mooie kamer, maar die kreeg ik niet. De geur die van buitenaf komt, is erg vies: kattenvoer. Ze hadden me op een lage verdieping geplaatst, helaas geen hoge. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is dus slecht. Ik zou niet meer dan € 90 voor deze kamer betalen, maar helaas heb ik er bijna € 200 voor betaald. Helaas heb ik geen foto's van de kamer gemaakt omdat ik druk bezig was met zaken, anders zou ik foto's van de kamer toevoegen. Ik heb er te veel voor betaald, maar hij is zeker geen € 200 waard.

Het hotel is goed onderhouden en schoon. Vriendelijk personeel.
De ligging is goed, op de grens van de Konak in een klein straatje dat naar de boulevard leidt. Er zijn twee busstations en een metrostation in de buurt. De zee en de klokkentoren liggen op loopafstand, een halfuur...
Mijn kamer was heel klein maar schoon. Het probleem was dat het raam niet geopend kon worden en dat ventilatie niet mogelijk was. Er is geen scheidingswand of douchegordijn in de badkamer. Er is ook geen plank voor toiletartikelen.
Ontbijt was goed, eieren, kaas, muesli, koffie, thee...

Het hotel heeft een uitstekende locatie; het Marriott Hotel ernaast kost meer dan t****uizend euro per nacht. Het ligt vlak bij de Egeïsche Zee en er zijn tramhaltes in de buurt, dus het bevindt zich waarschijnlijk in het hart van Izmir.

Merkhotels zijn behoorlijk geruststellend. Hoewel de faciliteiten een beetje oud zijn, is de service goed. Slla, Can en Emre zijn erg aardig en beleefd. Het grootste voordeel van de kamer is dat de badkamer groot is en het erg comfortabel is om te douchen. En de kamer heeft uitzicht op zee, wat erg mooi is als het weer goed is

De service was uitstekend. We hadden een probleem bij aankomst omdat we niet konden communiceren en de weg naar het hotel niet konden vinden en de manager van het hotel, meneer Sadat, was zo aardig om ons op te halen met zijn eigen auto om naar zijn hotel te gaan.
Het ontbijt was uitstekend met een grote verscheidenheid.

Het hotel ligt in de kleine stad Cheshmei, vlak onder het kasteel, op 5 minuten afstand van de Golf, er zijn veel restaurants en kleine winkels op de nachtmarkt. Het hotel is een oud huis, de woning van de inwoners is herbouwd, er is geen lift, de kamer is niet groot en de faciliteiten zijn simpel. De baas is warm en heeft vragen en antwoorden. Het ontbijt is eenvoudiger, de deur kan worden gestopt 3-4 auto.

This small and cute hotel is something like a jewel! The one staff we met was adorable and so kind and caring that we felt right at home and even felt sorry that after only one night we had to leave for our next spot to visit! The hotel is gorgeous, the service impeccable, the breakfast!!! OMG!!! Just look at the pictures and you'll know what I mean! The breakfast was a piece of art made with love 💕
But, originally, the hotel is called Ephesus Hotel and Art Gallery, because all the sculptures you can see on the pictures were made by the owner - it vibes so well with the whole Ephesus area and it's beautiful ancient buildings, ruins, ...
We got a nice upgrade to a bigger room that we could directly leave through a door to the inner courtyard where breakfast was served - super convenient! The courtyard was so peaceful that we felt like hearing ancient whispers coming from all around us... So much history!!! So much to see and having this wonderful hotel as the base to discover from was the best choice we could make! No need to mention that the room was simple but very nice and clean, comfy and big bed, nice lighting, spacey bathroom with very modern standard. Aircon as well, but we preferred to use the big fan on the ceiling instead ... There was a little fridge in the room and the beverages inside were free to take, so we were happy about the water after a hot and sunny day ... ☀️ Also, whenever we were on the way in or out, we were offered coffee, tea, water, juice, fruits ... you can see the fruit plate that we happily enjoyed as a mid-day snack ...
If you ever visit Selçuk and Ephesus Ancient Town - and you should because it's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - you should definitely book one, or even better two or three days at Ephesus Hotel and Art Gallery!!!
Btw, it's also in easily walkable distance to the Ephesus Archeological Museum, the İsa Bey Mosque, St. Jean Church, the Ayasuluk Citadel, ...
Another great plus was the fact that we could park the car right in front of the hotel.
Last but not least, we received a beautiful little gift from the hotel employee who was taking care of us so kindly - she had sculptured the little elephant that you can see on the last picture by herself! A very special gift for us! 🎁 ❤️

LLilysisterThis was the worst hotel choice of my trip to Turkey. The biggest problem was the strong odor in the room; the bathroom was smelly, and the room had a different kind of odor altogether. Because there were no screens, a large fly got in when I opened the window for ventilation. Looking down from the window, I saw many garbage cans piled up below, no wonder there were flies. The view of the pine trees in the church garden opposite the window was the main reason I chose this hotel, but it turned out like this. People sensitive to smells should be very careful, and I hope the hotel can improve this situation promptly.

MMadjid MogharyLocation is very good . 100 meters to Basmane metro station. Staff where polite and helpful . Room was good in compare with the price . The only negative thing was breakfast . Breakfast was very poor . They had only tea . Not coffee . Not milk .

The lift is quite small, and the room furnishings are old. A significant downside is the step up to the bathroom, which felt hazardous. The shower drainage was also poor, causing the floor to flood.

GGuest UserLocation: The location of the hotel is really good. It is in the center of Alacati, easy access to the attractions around. The hotel has the only Michelin guide restaurant in the town, they have live music in the evening, It can be heard in the room. But do not be afraid, the music is really chill. Alacati is really lively at night, you can find a lot of bars and restaurants with live music. But you do not need to be afraid to be bothered in the hotel, the loud music did not reach to our room at least. We really enjoyed to take a walk in the city center after diner, doing so every night during our stay. Enjoying the lively city, walking around then back to hotel to chill afterwards.
Cleanliness: The room is really clean and the staff is really friendly.
Services: We have breakfast included, the buffet option is relatively limited comparing to other hotels we had. BUT it has freshly cooked turkish beef bacon with Turkish Fried Bread (Pisi) served to your table with a list of other things, vegetable, cheese, butter, jams, olives etc. Start a lovely day with fresh made traditional Turkish breakfast, it was great.
Facilities: The pool is not really big, but good for relaxing. Next to the pool there are benches and a lime tree. You can chose to stay under the sun or under the shadow. We really love the hotel building itself, it looks great, really beautiful building and the decoration in the hotel also looks lovely.

GGuest UserHotel is maybe the best one in Izmir with very good location. Hotel staff are very friendly and polite. However there was one exception in my experience and I only share it to improve the experience for the new guests if anyone is really reading my feedback. It was written that Alipay and WeChat is accepted at the hotel check in desk/reception. Then I asked whether i can pay with these apps and the reply was very unapologetically no in a rude manner. Hotel staff called Cisem replied me with a super serious face and tone without even giving any explanation on reason of not servicing or when it’ll actually be available even it was written payment with these apps are accepted. I felt like I’m in a highly bureaucratic, red taped government office. I’d just suggest you remove that thing till you really serve with these payment apps or at least train your staff on how they should reply clients. Otherwise it’s super annoying…At least write there that it’ll be available soon. There was another lady probably staff manager who came to apologize. It was very polite of her to check whether if there’s anything she can do. But I couldn’t understand why she asked our room number as she didn’t do anything afterwards. It kinda feels weird when someone questions something for nothing…

2. There are plenty of parking spots just a few steps away from the hotel.
3. Free breakfast is provided.
4. The hotel is clean.
5. The view and interior design of the hotel are very beautiful and appealing.
Negative Points:
1. Consider increasing the variety of the breakfast buffet and offering coffee as well. The breakfast selection, especially the hot menu, is limited.
2. Since the airport is quite far from the hotel (1.5 hours), there is no transfer service, or the cost is quite high. I suggest subsidizing part of the transfer cost for your guests.
3. There is no heated pool. It would be great to have warm water in the pool during the colder seasons.
4. The outdoor seating area by the pool is unusable during the colder months. I suggest adding heating equipment near the tables and chairs by the pool.
5. No special slippers are provided in the bathroom and toilet. The available foam slippers are not suitable for wet areas and get soaked.
6. There is no welcome drink or anything similar. I suggest offering a welcome drink to guests.
all in all I will choose it again.
