Het hotel ligt aan de St. Lawrence Gap, waar een paar clubs en restaurants zijn. Het kan 's nachts behoorlijk rumoerig zijn. Als u kiest voor het appartement met zeezicht, hoort u de club aan de overkant van de straat minder. De kamer zelf is geweldig, er is een keuken waar u uw ontbijt kunt koken en thee kunt zetten, een werkende kraan, koelkast, vriezer, waterkoker en magnetron. Het balkon en het uitzicht zijn prachtig. We werden elke ochtend wakker met uitzicht op het blauwe water en de blauwe lucht! Ik was er met mijn vriend en dus hadden we allebei een tweepersoonsbed, wat erg comfortabel is. De douche geeft wat langzaam water, maar als je hem 3-4 minuten laat lopen, wordt het water warm. We hebben niet voor het ontbijt gekozen, dus ik kan geen oordeel geven over het eten. Over het algemeen positief, mijn enige klacht is dat ik voorzichtig ben bij het bestellen van een taxi, omdat ze de prijs in Amerikaanse dollars berekenen en niet in Barbadiaanse dollars. De receptioniste heeft me misleid, ondanks dat ik haar twee keer heb gevraagd of de prijs in Barbadiaanse dollars was, en ze zei ja. Toen we klaar waren met de taxirit, werd ons verteld dat de prijs in Amerikaanse dollars was en niet in Barbadiaanse dollars. Ik denk dat dit een fundamentele fout is van de receptioniste en me onnodig heeft gekost. Daarvoor verdiende het hotel geen 5 sterren. De locatie is goed, maar houd rekening met geluidsoverlast, want je zit recht tegenover een nachtclub genaamd Halo, die in het weekend erg lawaaierig is, vooral de dj met zijn microfoon die erin schreeuwt. Het eiland is erg klein, dus alles is niet ver weg. Het is de moeite waard om een ​​auto te huren om het eiland te verkennen, anders wordt de taxirit duur. Een taxirit van Lawrence Gap naar het noorden van het eiland kost je 120 Barbadiaanse dollar voor een enkele reis. Het hotel heeft een mooi buitenzwembad, een eigen ontspanningsruimte en een restaurant waar je drankjes kunt bestellen. Zou ik hier nog eens verblijven? Ja, ik denk dat ik hier nog eens zou verblijven.

Apartment is near the beach and one of the best things about staying here. Additionally, the sunsets from the accomodation are amazing and its a really nice place

Location is perfect, tons of restaurants and nightlife is lit in The Gap. Fifteen minutes away from airport. The room has good enough space with a terrace overlooking the pool. The restaurant located in hotel serves good food and drinks with friendly staff. Front desk was helpful with any questions or issues. Definitely recommend staying here if visiting Barbados.

The hotel is in a great location, right opposite lovely Rockley beach and close to many restaurants.There's also a supermarket nearby. Staff are lovely and very helpful. They will help arrange excursions and have good recommendations for local restaurants. My room was very comfortable and quiet and the balcony is a lovely place to sit to watch the world by. I also had a pleasant drink in the bar one afternoon and the wine was excellent (South African chenin blanc). I heard no noise at all from either other rooms or the street, and the aircon was pretty quiet. Breakfast was adequate for me as I'm not a huge breakfast eater but some may find the choice and variety rather limited. The granola was very tastynand fresh eggs can be cooked on request. The only negative was that there was no hot water from the shower for the short duration of my stay which was disappointing (I did let it run for several minutes as advised by front desk). Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

The Hotel Maxwell del Mar was very comfortable and extremely well positioned. We had everything we needed and would definitely stay there again. Although the restaurant and bar are only open over the weekend, there are plenty of excellent other establishments very close by. Also the room is well equipped with a fridge, microwave oven and kettle so you can provide for yourself if you want a night in. The local beach, which is stunning, is Maxwell Beach and is only a very short walk from the hotel.

We had an excellent time on our trip to Barbados! Everyone we encountered throughout the island and at the Bougainvillea were just the nicest people. So polite and helpful. The Bougainvillea is well maintained and clean. The rooms are spacious and had everything we needed. Staying at the Bougainvillea, you can just step right out on the beach. There are 2 restaurants on the premises, and the food was good. We will definitely be back!

Dover Beach hotel is a very adequate mid range choice. The rooms are large and cleaned to a high standard and the facilities are in keeping with a mid sized hotel. We found the reception staff in the main personable and friendly. Location for Lawrence Gap and the airport is good but a car is advisable if you want to visit the West side of the island.. All things considered we enjoyed our short stay at this hotel.

Bij aankomst had ik een probleem met een bed dat niet de juiste maat had, zoals ik had gereserveerd. De meneer bij de receptie en de meneer die me de alternatieve kamers liet zien, waren erg aardig en zorgzaam. Er deden zich nog meer problemen voor: ik had bijvoorbeeld de verkeerde kaart voor de kamer afgegeven, waardoor ik terug moest komen om het opnieuw te laten repareren. Vuile handdoeken waren in de kamer achtergelaten, maar dat werd snel opgelost. Er was geen water beschikbaar, maar dat werd ook opgelost. Hoewel het vervelend klonk, stoorde het me niet echt. Ze reageerden snel. Toen werd me verteld dat er weer een fout in de kamer was gemaakt, terwijl ik eigenlijk vanaf het begin de juiste kamer voor me had gereserveerd. Maar ik was tevreden met de kamer die ik had, dus ik heb hem niet veranderd. Eén ding kan ik wel zeggen: de waterdruk in de kraan en de douchekop is niet hoog genoeg. Dit waren enkele minpunten. Verder is het hotel over het algemeen erg schoon, werkt de airconditioning goed en heb ik geen vliegen, insecten of muggen. Ik zou dit hotel aan iedereen aanbevelen, behalve de mogelijke registratieproblemen die je tegen kunt komen.

The hotel was so lovely, clean excellent food, location was beautiful-I had an injury and the staff ensured I was well looked after and went above and beyond - family run hotel with staff that are exemplary!
