"The room was clean and spacious, and the location was okay, about a 15-minute walk from Windermere Pier. However, I recommend not including breakfast; it's better to eat out. While there were plenty of options for breakfast, each person was limited to one, and the value for money was extremely poor (expensive and mediocre!). You had to text or contact the host to let them know about the next day's breakfast, as they finish shopping by 6 p.m. I had a problem getting breakfast prepared because I couldn't tell them what I wanted. They served me a few slices of toast and bacon and eggs. Even the toast wasn't fresh, and one slice had mold on it. I've lived in the UK before, so how could fresh bread from the previous night be moldy? Or were they using cheap, discounted supermarket bread? Either of these assumptions is a waste of time and will only lead to a negative experience. I asked for a refund for breakfast before we even used it, but the host told me that breakfast pre-ordered through the platform was not refundable because they had already prepared it and the room and meal charges were combined, making it difficult to separate them."

It's an old manor hotel, and without an elevator, carrying heavy luggage yourself could be quite inconvenient. **Facilities:** The hotel is quite dated, and the room facilities are a bit basic. However, the fantastic environment is a huge redeeming quality, and overall, its minor drawbacks don't overshadow the positives."
