Lake Hotel Ifigenia

"The only positive thing about this hotel is the seafront view. Otherwise, the experience was decidedly disappointing. Let's start with the parking: it's advertised as free and located in front of the hotel, implying that it's their property. In reality, it's just a public parking lot, and you have to hope to find a spot. Otherwise, the alternative they offer is to park about half a kilometer away, leaving a €20 deposit that is refunded upon check-out. The elevator is also confusing: when you press the button, you can't tell whether it's working or not, as it doesn't give any signal. Once we entered our room, we found the air conditioning turned on and set to 20 degrees Celsius. An unpleasant welcome, especially considering it wasn't the height of summer with scorching temperatures. The room appears dated and poorly maintained: some parts of the furniture clearly show signs of aging, such as the visibly rusted bed frame (photos attached). The first-floor room offered a beautiful view of the lake, but it also overlooked the crumbling, uncovered roof of the same building, a detail that significantly spoiled the view (photos attached). Rest was practically impossible during the night. Even though we turned off the air conditioning upon arrival, we could hear constant, annoying clicking sounds from the unit throughout the night. Furthermore, the soundproofing is practically nonexistent; the rooms are separated by plasterboard walls, and conversations and noises from neighboring rooms could be clearly heard, as if the walls were nonexistent. Fortunately, we only stayed one night. Had I stayed longer, I would have left early, even losing part of the cost, because the constant discomfort and sleepless nights would have made the stay unbearable. I also want to add a note about the bathroom, which, despite being windowless, is problematic in many ways. The lighting is decidedly inadequate: there is only a small, dim light near the sink, while the rest of the room remains almost completely dark. Even carrying out simple daily activities like washing or getting ready is inconvenient due to the poor visibility. I regret not being able to document the problem with a photograph, but it wouldn't have been able to convey the true extent of the inconvenience. The only truly positive aspects of the stay were the splendid view of the lake, the courtesy of the staff, and a rich, varied, and abundant breakfast. Unfortunately, however, these aspects aren't enough to compensate for the numerous inconveniences we encountered: an dated and poorly maintained structure, virtually nonexistent soundproofing, the inability to rest properly, and environments that don't guarantee the comfort and tranquility one would expect during a vacation. Overall, the experience was well above average."

"Het personeel is super vriendelijk, absoluut super. Maar we hebben een paar punten onderbroken tijdens het verblijf. De kamer was schoon, maar we konden niet gebruik maken van de airconditioning, omdat deze correct gemuffeld is bij het in gebruik nemen. De bar/lounge was direct naast onze kamer, waardoor we elke avond geluid hadden, wat niet zomaar heeft bijgedragen tot een ontspannen slaap. Het ontbijt was goed en voldoende. De locatie was super, zeer centraal, of het nu gaat om meer, winkels of restaurant. Wat we ook een beetje schapen vonden dat de wurmpool was uitgeschakeld, hoewel er wordt aangekondigd. Alles in het algemeen was het verblijf met een paar afvalstoffen in orde."

"We besloten dit jaar terug te keren na hier afgelopen juli te zijn geweest, en opnieuw hebben we een geweldige ervaring gehad. Hoewel de wegkant wat lawaaierig kan zijn, is het voor ons fantastisch om met een glas wijn op het balkon te zitten, de wereld aan ons voorbij te zien trekken – en te genieten van het spectaculaire uitzicht, vooral van het huis met zijn eigen kabelbaan. Het verkeer heeft ons plezier absoluut niet beïnvloed. We verbleven deze keer in kamer 410, en net als bij ons vorige bezoek was het perfect. Het personeel is ongelooflijk vriendelijk, professioneel, deskundig en niets is te veel moeite. De dames die bij het ontbijt werken, behoren tot de meest behulpzame die ik ooit ben tegengekomen; ze blijven maar glimlachen. We overwegen zelfs om volgend jaar voor de derde keer op rij terug te komen – misschien proberen we dan een kamer met uitzicht op de tuin en schrijven we nog een recensie!"

"Het ontbijt was geweldig. De kamer was schoon en relatief groot, goede bed en kousen. Het zwembad, de openbare douche en het openbare toilet waren schoon en comfortabel. De wifi was aanvaardbaar, de receptiedame was niet zo handig en vriendelijk. De tv-screen was klein en geen slimme tv, kon niet delen Latpot of telefoonscherm."

"Great location above Torbole, 10 min walk to the lake. Quiet, away from the traffic and touristy hustle-bustle of the town centre. Some rooms have lake views. Free parking. The area is mostly residential/holiday homes, with a new large hotel just across the street. Nice, modern rooms and baths. Small, but very well kept pool area. Nice breakfast selection. No restaurant in the hotel, but bar service all day (until 22:00). Very friendly staff. Ticked all the boxes for me."
