5-Starhotels in Cancún

We are here on vacation. The facilities are great, but the service and management are terrible. 1. We booked an ocean-view room but were given a room with a roof view instead. The ocean view was completely blocked. We were told we couldn’t change the room because there were no available rooms. We had to stay in the roof-view room for one night until a proper ocean-view room became available the next day. No price difference was refunded, and we only received some snacks and a bottle of wine as compensation. 2. While we were sleeping in our room, a hotel staff member entered without our permission. This happened at 7 p.m., even though the room had already been cleaned in the morning and we did not hang a “cleaning required” sign on the door. We were extremely angry as this left us feeling shocked and unsafe. When we reported this to the front desk, they claimed that rooms are cleaned twice a day, which sounded strange since we’ve never encountered this policy at other hotels. We are unsure if this explanation was true. 3. The phone in our room was unable to connect to the front desk for three consecutive days. We reported the issue on the first day and were told it would be fixed, but it remained broken until we left. We never saw any maintenance staff come to repair it. Each time we needed to contact the front desk, we had to go downstairs.

Perfect stay for couples. My girlfriend and I have traveled to Cancun/playa Del Carmen in the past and like to split our time between 2 resorts. We did that again this time and live aqua was far and away better than the Riu that we stayed at during the first half of our trip. From the moment we were greeted and provided an overview of the resort, to the room, pools, beaches and amenities, it was all exactly what we were looking for in our romantic vacation. Brenda (who greeted us), Rebecca (who gave us a free welcome hand massage) , Marco (who was definitely the highlight of our trip and makes the smoothies in the buffet area), and Diesson (who we ran into multiple times in different areas) were just some of the staff we loved. We really enjoyed talking to each employee there, but don’t remember everyone’s name. The beach was super clean with little signs of sargassum. The beach area staff were also very attentive. They’ll dress a daybed for you and get you drinks in just minutes. Oh and Ramon was great too. He doesn’t work for the hotel, but he works for the jet skiing and parasailing spot on the beach in front of the resort. Oh and room service is extremely fast too. We’d call and they’d show up with drinks/food within 15-20 mins each time, even though it was a busy spring break week. Highly recommend this place over all of the other Cancun resorts I’ve stayed at previously.

I've been to dozens of Cancun all-inclusive resorts but there is no place like Temptation. We are American Asians in our late 20's and had a total blast at this place. Vibe- high energy party vibe with sexy employees and a topless optional pool. A totally carefree and relaxed environment for couples to getaway. Food- I read mixed reviews on food, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and options of food available! I had plenty of amazing dishes to try everyday. I loved their steak burger, octopus, shrimp cocktail, sushi and more. Drinks- also pleasantly surprised that there were a TON of choices and quality options like Don Julio, black label and more. Service- excellent service as you can expect from all inclusive hotels. I would give a shout-out to POLO who works the quiet pool bar. Everyone else was friendly and helpful too. Entertainment- yes to the SHE restaurant. Have a 5 star quality meal while watching talented dancers work the stage and pole. What an experience! Everyday in the late afternoon there is a show at the pool, and they are funny AF but very naughty. The crowd loved it and were totally down. Tips and Notes -its a naughty place. Sensual and sexual themes, smells, vibes are pervasive. There are attractive couples of all ages, many who may be open to naughty experiences together. Of course everything is up to you and everyone is respectful. But anything goes here, as long as it's in your own room. -tip everyone. It will enhance the workers life and enhance your service as well! -in bash tower balcony rooms you may see couples putting on a ”show”. We wanted to see something crazy so we booked this room and sure as heck, we saw plenty of action! -bash tower rooms give you access to the rooftop pool and hot tubs. Great for lunch and to getaway from the rowdy sexy pool. -bash night club is always poppin. It's an outdoor Vegas style club with a huge bar, led stage and amazing nightly performances from talented dancers. Don't miss it! -2 to 5 nights is sufficient here, or you might get partied out -there is a timeshare type of pitch at the beginning, we didn't do it but that's up to you. You get some freebies and there's no commitment so just depends on your time. -while there's a fair amount of younger people, the average is definitely in the 40s. I do wish there were more Asians at the resort as it skews white/Hispanic. They should make the prices on trip.com better in order to boost the Asian demographic presence. That's my only suggestion!

It’s very nice hotel, a big mall across street. We enjoy our stay a lot!

It was a wonderful experience. Especially room services for food at night were awesome. Playing beach volleyball was pretty fun. The broken door was terrible and the Italian restaurant service was not good but other than that overall is above the average.

Het uitzicht van het hotel is erg goed, het uitzicht van de kamer is ook erg goed, de kamer is onlangs gerenoveerd, de badkamer is erg groot, ik vind het erg leuk, er zijn verschillende restaurants, erg rijk, er is ook een bar , een plek voor ouders en kinderen om te spelen, een echte aanrader

Very clean unlike some other resorts we’ve been to that had black mold on mattress and curtains . Would definitely recommend

Hotelservice is erg goed. Het personeel begroet je allemaal met een glimlach en is professioneel. Ook al spreek ik niet vloeiend Engels of Spaans, ze hebben behoorlijk hun best gedaan om te begrijpen wat ik zei. Het is indrukwekkend dat roomservice 24 uur per dag beschikbaar is en dat er altijd wordt gecontroleerd op allergieën. Er zijn voldoende voorzieningen. Maaltijden kunnen ook worden gereserveerd via de hotelapp, wat erg handig en vriendelijk is. Eén zijde van het hotel is nog niet voltooid, maar de toekomst van het hotel is veelbelovend. Ze runnen een shuttle naar de beachclub met uitzicht op de Caribische Zee, en ook daar zijn ze vriendelijk. Ik hoop dat als je gewoon een golfkar van het hotel naar de bushalte kunt nemen, het gemakkelijker zal zijn om door de hotelzone boven of met de bus beneden te reizen. Ik ga lekker uitrusten.

Over het algemeen was het hotel acceptabel. Het personeel was gastvrij, maar het vrouwelijke personeel bij de receptie had meer training nodig. Voor sommige zwembadfaciliteiten moet je extra betalen en het bedrijfsmodel is vrij complex. Bij sommige restaurants moet je vooraf reserveren, maar dat is vaak niet mogelijk. Het buffet is elke dag hetzelfde, wat verbetering behoeft. De natuur en de oceaan zijn werkelijk prachtig. We waren er half augustus en hadden het geluk om schildpadden aan land te zien komen om te bevallen. Het hotelpersoneel deelde de uitgekomen babyschildpadden zelfs met de kinderen tijdens een groepsuitzetting, wat heel betekenisvol was.

The resort itself is amazing. Very big and spacious, great amenities and SPECTACULAR views. Even more amazing were the staff and concierge Janer who made the stay very relaxing and memorable.
