2-Starhotels in Suzhou

It is an unbelievably beautiful house kept in old harmonious style. The room that was provided for us is spacious, and it has many authentic old items to make dozens of photos. But what really impressed us was a table in the living room with water and real living fish in it! The bed is very comfortable. The linen and towels are impeccably clean and soft. The toilet contains a shower - everything is very clean and modern. Th owner is a very friendly and ready to help person, though communication is possible only via electronic translator. Проживание в этом красивом доме декорированном в старином стиле, даёт возможность ощутить Суджоу совершенно в ином ракурсе. Предоставляемая комната - просторная с большой кроватью и множеством вычурных старинных предметов, ширмочек, музыкальных инструментов, с которыми можно сделать десятки фотографий. А стол в гостиной вообще нас поразил - в нем выдолблен аквариум и плавают живые рыбки. Дом находится недалеко от главных парков и канала. В душевой и туалете вся сантехника современная и безупречно чистая. Рядом на улице много едален, в том числе и малатан, который мы безуспешно искали в других городах. Хозяин - очень симпатичный человек, добрый и заботливый. Жаль, что общаться можно только через переводчик. Если кто-то заинтересован в аренде национальной китайской одежды разных эпох, это можно сделать в лавочках вдоль канала. Стоимость от 85 юаней и выше. Однозначно рекомендуем этот дом доя проживания! И благодарим хозяина, который разрешил нам оставить вещи после указанного часа.

Gelegen wandelafstand tot het Suzhou Museum en Humble Admin Garden, evenals het metrostation met veel voedselopties en comfortwinkels vlak naast het hotel. De kamer is comfortabel en groot met een ruime wandelruimte zelfs met 2 grote bagage open. Het front desk is ook handig om onze bagage op de trap (enkele stappen) naar de lift te brengen. Er is ook gratis zelfbediening wasserij n droger en warm thee/koffie in de pantry.

Our stay was extraordinary. Really, truly.😊We felt welcomed and very well taken care of. The hosts have helped us with our luggages, made sure our room was clean, well stocked, etc. The place is really nice, the location simply fabulous, but my favourite of all: the hosts ~ amazing people, smiling, kind, patient. They have made our stay great. Totally recommend. We will definitely stay here again with other family members. P.s. Foreigner friendly. 😊🤍

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and queer, the bed was very comfortable. I was able to rest well before another day of travel.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

Very good apartment in one of the skyscrapers in the Suzhou Industrial Park district. Despite our request to live on the higher floor with a lake view, we lived in the apartment on the 27th (from 47) floor with the city view. Probably, they just don't have lake-view apartments. However, there is another skyscraper in front of our building. Though, the room was perfect! Very clean, with home shoes, slippers, bath and face towels, teeth kits, kitchen (fridge, microwave, kettle). However, there was no cookware or dishware. We also needed an iron (as was promised in the room description), but the administrator brought us a steamer (which is even better) a few hours after the request. There are many convenient stores around, where you can buy even cooked food. In general, we recommend this place to everyone! Очень хорошие апартаменты в одном из небоскрёбов в районе Индустриального парка Сучжоу. Несмотря на нашу просьбу заселить нас максимально высоко с видом на озеро, нам досталась комната на 27 (из 47) этаже с видом на город. Возможно, у них просто нет комнат повыше с видом на озеро. Однако, прямо перед этим небосрёбом находится другой со стороны как раз озера. И всё равно, сама комната оказалась просто превосходной! Очень чистая, с домашними тапочками, душевыми сланцами, банными и лицевыми полотенцами, зубным набором, кухней (холодильник, микроволновка, чайник). Однако, не было ни посуды для приготовления, ни столовой посуды. Когда нам понадобился утюг (а он был обещан в описании номера), мы попросили администратора, и тот принёс отпариватель (что даже удобнее) через несколько часов. Вокруг здания много небольших магазинчиков, в том числе с готовой едой. В общем и целом, мы рекомендуем это место для всех путешественников!

Had zo'n fantastische tijd in dit hotel! Het is gunstig gelegen op slechts 10 minuten lopen van het metrostation, en er zijn talloze coole plekken in de buurt, zoals de North Pagoda, het Suzhou Museum, de Humble Administrator's Garden en het Suzhou Silk Museum, allemaal binnen een korte 10-15 minuten lopen. . Het voelt alsof u in een gezellig pension verblijft, gelegen in een familiecomplex. De eigenaar, een lieve dame, is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hoewel de kamer een charmante ouderwetse sfeer heeft, is hij vlekkeloos schoon en heeft hij alles wat je nodig hebt, zelfs een haardroger. Het doet me helemaal denken aan het huis van mijn oma vroeger! Bovendien is er een schattige kleine minibibliotheek met een aantal fascinerende verzamelobjecten en een gezellig theehuis - perfect voor wat Insta-waardige kiekjes! Oh, en pas op voor de drie schattige katten die graag ronddwalen en soms zelfs bij je op bezoek komen! Ook hier zul je geen honger lijden! Vlak naast de deur is een fantastisch café, en aan de overkant van de straat heb je een hele reeks lokale eettentjes. En laat me je vertellen: mis de krabnoedelplek bij het stoplicht niet: het is absoluut goddelijk! En als je zin hebt in vers fruit, ga dan naar de fruitkraam bij het bruggetje. Ze zijn laat open - ik kwam rond 23.00 uur langs en ze waren nog steeds sterk! Even een vriendelijke herinnering: bij de ingang van dit hotel staat de Chinese naam vermeld, geen Engels. Zorg er dus voor dat u dat huisnummer onthoudt of noteert, zodat u het de volgende keer gemakkelijk kunt terugvinden! En je kunt er zeker van zijn dat als ik terug in Suzhou ben, ik hier zonder nadenken weer een kamer zal boeken!

I loved staying here.The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and with quality amenities. The owners were friendly and helpful. It is an old building but I considered that added to the charm. Very easy to explore Suzhou from the convenient location

Our stay at this Suzhou apartment was nothing short of perfect! As first-time visitors, we were blown away by the incredible value. The location is great, just a quick 5-minute walk from the MRT, which made exploring the entire city effortless. The apartment itself was exactly as described: spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The highlight for us was the big projector screen; winding down each night with Chinese dramas was a unique and fun experience. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a huge convenience, allowing us to pack light. The true standout was our host. She was exceptionally helpful, providing a personal recommendations.
