Lihuayuan Hotel

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, highlighted by the incredibly kind and hospitable owner who went out of his way to give me sightseeing tips and even personally carried my luggage up to my 3rd-floor room since there is no elevator, all despite us not sharing a common language. The location is unbeatable, situated right near Pingjiang Street, just a 6-7 minute walk to Metro Line 1, and conveniently right next door to a Halal restaurant. While the room is on the smaller side, it was absolutely perfect for a solo traveler who just needed a comfortable place to sleep after a long day of exploring. It was also well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, and complimentary bottled water. Overall, everything was just perfect, and I highly recommend it!

I had a very good stay at Lihuayuan Hotel. Its greatest advantage is the location: it is very close to Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road and Xuanqiaoxiang Metro Station is only a short walk away. This made it very convenient for visiting Suzhou’s main attractions and for reaching the railway station by metro. The area around the hotel is lively and full of restaurants and local shops, while the hotel itself is a practical base for exploring the historic centre. The laundry facilities are also a useful addition, especially for travellers staying several days. Considering the location and price, I found it very good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and conveniently located hotel in central Suzhou.

Very nice location it’s very close to most of the attractions. It was under construction while we were there but the owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful.

Location is convenient 5 min walk to 2 major train stations. Many food stalls just outside hotel. Also a 5 min walk to major shopping area. There are road works outside going on as of September 26, may be annoying to some

Great trip to Suzhou even tho it was just one day. The reception at the hotel was very friendly and got our rooms ready before check in time. They could also store our bags if we needed to. Went to pingjiang road and had a stroll. If you follow the path you can get to lion forest garden, which was pretty nice and beautiful also to take pictures. After we got something to eat and went on our way to a snake bar where you can pet real snakes and have a pretty good cocktail or drink. So if you can check it out.

The manager was really nice even though I forgot the checkout time. The location is great, very close to the main attractions of the city.

The hotel is in a good position, close to the metro station. It’s a bit dated, but good value for money. The staff was very kind and they did the laundry for us for free.

Good location, near metro and multiple attractions, and there are many local food shops around this hotel. Owner is kind and friendly. It was a stormy day in Suzhou and the owner helped to bring my luggage to the cab. One thing to take note is the hotel does not have lift, but my room was in level 2 so taking stair is not a big deal
