2-Starhotels in Guilin

I had a wonderful stay here. Highly recommend this place. The owner is very helpful, friendly and happy to help! The staff are also great. I arrived In Yangshuo by boat and could not get a taxi for some strange reason, maybe due to roadworks and very busy time of day, as a result I quickly contacted them and asked if there was another way to get there as I could not get a taxi, and instantly got a response that the boss will come pick me up and in 5min the owner had come and picked me up from my location . The homestay is very close to Yulong river and bike rentals and electric scooter rentals are offered at affordable prices and it has a beautiful ride along the river , bamboo rafting is close-by too. The owner is very friendly and knowledgable and quickly gave me recommendations and suggestions of activities best to do nearby and how to get there. On my last day the owner also gave me a ride to the shuttle bus for Longji, refused to let me take a Didi! Very hospitable, Kind and good energy. The room was more spacious than expected. It was big, clean and great view! Definitely worth a visit and Ill be going back for sure. 😌

Relatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues. Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony! Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!! Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

This is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

酒店在山腰，房間就能看日出看雲海看梯田，簡直太治癒了。從酒店上各觀景台都是可接受的距離，如果累了還能電話老闆接，當然，付費。老闆一家熱情接待，飯菜也好吃，一天三頓無需動腦。總之，這地兒值得二刷

超出預期的一次入住！酒店位置絕佳，周邊美食超多。房間乾淨整潔，床品柔軟舒適，睡得特別香。前台態度非常好，辦理入住迅速，還貼心推薦了本地各種景點，太加分了！性價比超高，下次來還住這裏！

I arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

De baas was erg aardig~ Het voelde echt als naar huis gaan, dus ik heb mijn verblijf meteen met twee dagen verlengd! De baas was erg attent. Toen we binnenkwamen, zag hij ons twee grote bagage dragen. Hij was bang dat het moeilijk voor ons zou zijn om met onze bagage naar de vijfde verdieping te klimmen, dus nam hij het initiatief om onze kamer te upgraden. de t****e verdieping, ik was zo ontroerd! De kamer heeft ook een tv, airconditioning en complete faciliteiten. Het is erg schoon. Als je vragen hebt, vertel het dan aan de baas en hij zal je zo snel mogelijk helpen deze op te lossen! Deze prijs/prestatie verhouding is echt top! Het ligt heel dicht bij het treinstation Guilin North, op slechts ongeveer 10 minuten lopen! Als je naar Guilin komt, kun je echt naar Mofei Youth Hostel komen. Het is erg handig om overal naartoe te gaan

Voor westerse begrippen is dit niet meer dan een tweesterrenhotel. Kleine kamer en badkamer, slechts gedeeltelijk uitzicht op de rivier en de bergen, zowel vanuit de kamer als vanuit het dak, en geen lift met vier verdiepingen. We hebben in verschillende hotels in de omgeving van Guilin verbleven, waarbij we kozen voor hotels in de midden- tot hogere prijsklasse. Het hotel biedt een bescheiden kamer, maar voor een niet zo bescheiden prijs, naar mijn mening. Het internet werkte prima tot ongeveer 19.00 uur en viel daarna de rest van ons verblijf van één dag helemaal uit. De openbare ruimtes, de receptie en het dak zijn een beetje rommelig. Foto's en beschrijvingen lieten de accommodatie er veel beter uitzien dan ze in werkelijkheid is. De badkamer is zo klein dat je bijna moet douchen terwijl je op het toilet zit. De kamers zijn zo klein dat je een groothoek fisheye-lens nodig had om alles in beeld te krijgen, vooral de badkamer. Twee foto's zijn bijgevoegd: één toont de kamer en het uitzicht, de andere de grootte van de badkamer. Naar mijn ervaring is dit een kamer van $15 tot $20 (Amerikaanse dollar).
