JJin！yuan！bao！De zelfrijdende tour begon in Suzhou, passeerde Anhui, Hunan, Guiyang en Guangxi en stopte nu in Yangshuo.
Dit hotel is mijn ultieme keuze uit de vijf hotels in Tongxiang, Tangshe, Huashan en Banyan Tree.
Ik heb Tongxiang niet geboekt, de Tangshe Buding Villa was erg lawaaierig, de Banyan Tree had geen bijzondere kenmerken, het landschap van Huashan was prachtig, maar de beoordelingen gaven aan dat de service en de kamerfaciliteiten verbeterd moesten worden.
Uiteindelijk heb ik besloten om in het verleden te leven.
Ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat dit de duidelijkste beslissing is die ik ooit heb genomen. Ik kon dan ook niet wachten om deze recensie te schrijven, twee uur nadat ik was ingecheckt.
De wegwerpartikelen in de kamer waren erg duur. Omdat ik van tevoren de weersvoorspelling had gecontroleerd en zag dat het zou regenen, heb ik geen kamer met terras geboekt, maar alleen een basic kamertype. Toen ik de receptie om hulp vroeg en een speaker nodig had, zei de receptie dat mijn huis er niet mee was uitgerust, maar ze hebben hem meteen bij me afgeleverd. Zodra ik mijn telefoon neerlegde, verscheen de receptioniste aan de deur.
Er zijn zoveel van zulke ontroerende details, dit hotel verdient het echt.

Ik vond dit hotel toevallig. Het was oorspronkelijk een korte stop tijdens de reis, maar dankzij de eigenares en de wereld werd het een onvergetelijk hoofdstuk in het verhaal.
Wanneer je het hotel binnenstapt, word je overvallen door de charme van de Chinese binnenplaats. Het kronkelende pad van blauwe steen verbindt het weelderige gazon met de schilderachtige gebouwen. De bergen in de verte zijn in mist gehuld en het zwembad sprankelt. Het is alsof je een landschapsschilderij tot leven brengt, waardoor de vermoeidheid van de reis direct verdwijnt.
En de grootste verrassing is de eigenares. Xiangshi zat met de eigenares thee te drinken en het gesprek was vol warmte. De theetafel met wortelgegraveerde elementen is eenvoudig en uniek, het theeservies is prachtig, de theeblaadjes rekken uit in het kopje en de theegeur verspreidt zich langzaam. We zaten rond en ze vertelde haar verhaal als een oude vriendin, waarbij ze haar liefde voor het leven en haar vertrouwdheid met dit land in haar woorden verwerkte. Luisterend naar haar verhaal over het ontwerp van de bloemen en planten op de binnenplaats, samen kijkend naar de schemering in de bergen, werd de oorspronkelijk onbekende reis door deze communicatie bijzonder warm.
De uitrusting van het hotel is ook eenduidig. De kamer is eenvoudig en stijlvol. De Chinese elementen zijn perfect. Het beddengoed is zo zacht dat je er direct in slaap kunt vallen. De theesalon en de binnenplaats in de openbare ruimte zijn allemaal hoekjes waar je tot rust kunt komen en je kunt voelen. Je kunt er alleen zitten en thee drinken, of een praatje maken met de eigenaresse. De tijd vertraagt.
Hier is het niet zomaar ”overnachten in een hotel”, maar integreren in een soort leven. De eigenaresse gebruikt haar oprechtheid en enthousiasme om buitenlanders zich thuis te laten voelen. Met bergen en rivieren als gezelschap en thee als medium, laat ze niet alleen mooie herinneringen achter, maar ook vol dankbaarheid voor ”de warmte die ze tijdens de reis heeft ervaren”.
Als je ook een plek wilt vinden waar je lichaam en geest tot rust kunt komen en oprechtheid kunt ervaren, dan is dit hotel de moeite waard. Op mijn volgende reis ga ik er zeker terug, luister naar het nieuwe verhaal van de eigenaresse, proef een kopje geurige thee en keer terug naar deze droom van bergen, rivieren en warmte.

GGastgebruikerMijn verblijf in Guilin Inn by the Water was als een droom. Genesteld tegen de bergen en aan het water, biedt de herberg een adembenemend uitzicht direct vanuit het raam. De ochtendmist en de gouden zonsondergang zijn ronduit prachtig.
De kamer was warm en elegant ingericht, met oog voor detail. Het zachte, comfortabele beddengoed zorgde voor een goede nachtrust. De service was ook buitengewoon attent; het personeel was warm, gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen, en gaf zelfs handige tips over bezienswaardigheden in de buurt.
Hier kunt u genieten van rust en tegelijkertijd de schoonheid van Guilin ontdekken. Of u nu door de bergen en langs het water wandelt of gewoon ontspant in de herberg, u zult zich er volledig op uw gemak voelen. Ik beveel deze plek van harte aan iedereen die verlangt naar het landschap van Guilin – kom en begin aan een onvergetelijke reis!

During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!).
Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.

Location was excellent near river, we could see river right at doorstep of balcony and veranda. It's close to city center and near Elephant mountain, getting around was easy.

GGastgebruikerDit is een zeer goed hotel, een echte aanrader. Het is het meest comfortabele hotel waar ik ooit heb verbleven tijdens mijn reis naar Guilin, Guangxi. Het is niet overdreven om te zeggen dat het omringd is door bergen en water. Ik kan de balkonkamer van harte aanbevelen, die comfortabeler is dan andere kamertypes. Of u nu een drankje op het balkon wilt drinken of buiten wilt hangen om uw kleren te drogen, dit is de beste keuze. Als u van de bruisende New West Street houdt, is er een hotel direct aan de ingang van West Street, dat ook gemakkelijk bereikbaar is. Dit is de eerste keuze voor ouderen op vakantie. Ik voel me altijd erg prettig in het hotel.

GGastgebruikerAllereerst is er beneden een online celebrity restaurant. Het eten is heerlijk en gasten hoeven niet in de rij te staan. Er zijn ook arrangementen met korting. Na drie dagen te hebben verbleven, heb ik verschillende maaltijden gegeten en moet ik het lekker vinden! Grote waarde voor uw geld! De locatie is ook erg goed. Het is rustig aan de rand van het voetgangersgebied. Het uitzicht vanuit het raam is ook erg mooi. Er is een balkon buiten waar je kleding kunt wassen en drogen. Dit is vooral belangrijk in de zomer! Mijn tante ruimt de kamer elke dag regelmatig op en is erg ijverig. De enige mogelijke vlieg in de zalf is dat de badkamer van de homestay een beetje klein is en dat het niet erg handig is om af te wassen. Bovendien wonen we op de bovenste verdieping, die een beetje vochtig is en er zijn wat meer insecten in de kamer. Over het algemeen ben ik redelijk tevreden, de accommodatiekosten zijn niet duur, het is het geld waard
