"What a lovely room and bathroom. Besides the very busy and loud street in front of the house is the location very good. Tesco and Morrisons close by and only a few minutes walk to the town centre, train station and buses. Breakfast was very nice and Debbie is such a lovely person. Enjoyed staying at the Highfield and Skipton so much I didn't want to leave."

"Very, very nice country hotel. The accommodation is comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. Insufficient: 1. The electric kettle is made of plastic rather than stainless steel. 2. We ate three breakfasts, maybe the chef made different breakfast standards are also different: the first day, enough; The second and three days, the amount was halved, my husband ordered a "full set of English breakfast" and I ordered "smoked salmon eggs", "smoked salmon eggs", bread, eggs, salmon from two to one."

"A very run down hotel from the outside, loose paving slabs and a large part of the car park fenced off. Room was good and bed comfortable. Food offering was poor. Very very slow service, items not available from the menu (some items still unavailable the following evening) not great quality when it finally arrived. Lots of complaints from other residents. Seemed to be very low on staff, we had booked weeks in advance with a group of around 35 so the team should have been geared up for us but weren't. Large parts of the hotel were devoid of furniture as though the place was going out of business. The staff did their best though. It felt overpriced for the quality (or lack of) the hotel."
