We booked a family room and it is a great pleasure to stay here;Large, clean, and complete facilities. We really love to have a washing machine and drying machine in our room. It 's very comfortable. Pros: Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very elegant and stylish. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Some staff members can speak English. Near Subway Line 2 (Exit 14). Excellent breakfast. Cons: Hotel refused to return our deposit (paid via Alipay) when we left, citing a ”problem with their bank” (no fault of ours), saying they need 24 hours to return the deposit. This seems to be their default policy. After we insisted it was returned the same day, although a few hours after we have already left Shanghai. This experience left a rather bad impression, and I would not return to stay at this hotel. I would suggest that guests check the hotel's current policy regarding the return of deposits, before they make a reservation.

When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Hotel is very close to subway station (80m) from gate 1 or 3, walking distance or 1 subway station away from many iconic tourist attractions and eateries. Staffs were very friendly and attentive, we were only staying for 1 nights, but requested hotel reception to take our parcels a few days before our arrival, so we can pick up our stuffs at our last stop and they were happy to help, thank you. Hotel also provided kid slipper and toothbrush upon request, gave our girl favourite pinky colour pack. Hotel itself were transformed from old building, but noted it was newly renovated and vintage looking from outside, but modern amenities inside, also have modern automated toilets (like Japanese hotels). Will definitely recommend family or other visitors to stay here. The only minor downside is too few seats for buffet breakfast, we were asked to squeezed in with a few other people, but still acceptable, staffs cleaned the table very quickly and find the seats for us within 5 minutes.

The hotel was walking distance from Nanjing Road shopping street, about two blocks away, entering near the Zara store. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and one could communicate in English.

The location is perfect. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just downstairs. You can see two pieces of the three-piece set while sitting by the window. It only takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Bund with the kids. The breakfast buffet is very rich, the staff are very enthusiastic and have a good attitude. The room was very spacious and I didn't hear any noise after staying there for three days.

Price is attractive and affordable.
