"Stayed at the Valley View for the June long weekend. Couldnt have been happier. Room was clean and importantly cosy, electric blanket, air con, quilt and blanket on comfy bed, great hot shower with large modern showerhead. Local hotels deliver meals to motel also when you really don’t feel like going out in the cold again. Outdoor area with bbq with lots of warm sunshine in the afternoon and a place to meet other travellers. A pool for the hot summers. All against backdrop of stunning mountains. Best of all were the amazing owners, very friendly and happy to help with anything and a bottle of wine on arrival or juice or chocolate if that’s your thing. Situated centrally between Scone and Tamworth, plus Murrurundi is a beautiful little town itself, with lots of history, friendly people, museums, great cafes and pubs. Looking forward to going back 👍"

"Goed groot geserveerd appartement met schoon en gezellig interieur. Zeer dicht bij de Coles en recht op de Main Street. Parkeerplaats is uitstekend en veilig; u moet door een gesloten poort rijden met een pincode die u wordt verzonden. Het bed is comfortabel en schoon, alle voorzieningen zijn beschikbaar."

"We stayed in Room 3, arriving late and departing early. So we didn't have much time to explore the room or Scone. Everything we needed was in the apartment and the bed was soft and comfortable. We liked the small courtyard out the back, and the spacious bathroom. The fold-down table was a bit awkward as it blocked the passage to the bathroom - but for a short stay this was fine. The only noise was from the freight trains on the railway line - but it wasn't obtrusive. In short - a great place to break a long trip."

"We had a one-night stay in this historical house on a recent road trip. The room we had was very comfortable on the first floor. Its a lovely old house, and very central to shops, cafes and "The Cottage", a very delightful restaurant a few hundred metres walk up the street. Would definitely stay again next time we are passing through."

"The area itself is absolutely beautiful. However, the 10pm curfew was not enforced whatsoever. On the Saturday night, there was a campsite that had what seemed to be a sound/Light system fit for an arena Rock Concert. It's understandable that some campers listen to music after 10pm, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Multiple complaints were made to the after hours number. The response from the lady who took the calls was very sympathetic and understanding, yet the music continued at an extremely loud volume into the early hours of the morning. We also attempted to communicate with the campsite in question to ask them to turn the music off and they responded in a very threatening manner. We were assured that the police were on their way to shut it down, but I am not sure this ever happened. No one in our campsite could get any sleep and we left the park with possible tinnitus. I'm going for a hearing test next week to ensure I have not been permanently damaged. I was shocked when I was charged the full camp rate for the two nights, even though it was such a horrible experience."

"We had the worst nights sleep at Strathearn Park Lodge during our recent road trip. The bed was "very hard" and the room had an over powering odour, it was hard to describe at the time, but it made me feel ill. I have since found out that Strathearn Park Lodge is pet friendly, so I am now thinking the odour could have been in the carpet and was enhanced by the fireplace and the reverse cycle air conditioner, as the night was very cold. The lounge chair in the room was also uncomfortable, there were no springs or "give" in the seating, it was like sitting on a bench seat. A Continental Breakfast is available, the pot of tea was nice and hot as well as plentiful. Parking is under cover in a tin shed adjacent to the house. Stay very alert when looking for this place, it is located in a "100 km/h zone" on the New England Hwy from Scone to Mussellbrook as the Lodge is not readily seen from the Hwy at speed. Not even "Waze" was able to assist us. A sign 1 - 1.5kms prior would help to alert drivers."

"We hadden een prachtige nachtelijke verblijf in Scone in een rustige en ruime kamer met een zeer comfortabele vaste bed en een grote douche. Het personeel was welkom en er was genoeg opslag. Korte wandeling naar de stad en winkels. We zouden zeker weer blijven."
