"I stayed with my girlfriend in June. It was a total disappointment. The hotel is old and it looks run down. The room we got was assigned incorrectly and they gave us single beds instead of double beds. We asked for a change but they said they didn't have any. Also, the window was broken and couldn't be closed. The water in the shower took several minutes to heat up and had little pressure. The air conditioning didn't cool, which was annoying since we had days with 29 degrees. The breakfast is small and with very little variety. We had breakfast at 7am and there was usually a lack of replenishment of products and it took a long time to clean the few tables there. The hotel is supposed to have a garage but it was always occupied, without even being able to park at the door to bring down the suitcases comfortably. Instead, they send you to a parking lot that is 2 blocks away, which does not open on Sundays or holidays, so you have to look for a key at the hotel, open it and then return the key. The hallways to the rooms have lights that only work on a schedule, between 7pm and 6am, outside of this time the only light available is from the emergency exit sign; something I have never seen in another hotel. The attention of the people at the front desk was awful, from the first day we asked to change beds or rooms and they told us it was not possible, that they did not know if there was another room. They could not tell us if it was possible to request late check out either, we had to ask shift by shift and they always told us that we should ask another receptionist at another time. No employee was able to give us an answer. It is a cheap hotel, which does not comply with what it advertises."

"We hebben een paar zeer comfortabele dagen doorgebracht. Het hotel is zeer goed gelegen, ondoorzichtig en de personeelszorg is zeer vriendelijk en resoluut. Best: grote en comfortabele kamers, zeer volledig ontbijt en de comfort van het rekenen van auto om te draaien. Ik wil ook uw restaurant met een zeer ruime brief en zeer betaalbare prijzen. Om te verbeteren: Het zou goed zijn om de beddengoed te vernieuwen (kussens en controle van de staat van de zaden). Een kleinere detail die niet door de ervaring opaek, maar die veel zou toevoegen om de categorie van 4 sterren te behouden. ¡Zeer aanbevolen!"

"The room was large with a kitchen small sitting area with 2 comfortable chairs and a separate bedroom area with a cupboard which had plenty of hangers. There was no safe as the locking mechanism had been removed. Bed was comfortable and lighting good. Bathroom was a little shower and shower strong but took some time adjusting mix of hot and cold water. While shower was a good size it leaked and water flowed away from drain. You order breakfast the night before and it's brought to your room. They offered a reasonable range of continental breakfast options. Also can get breakfast from 6 am. The hotel is on a quiet street so only noise was from people talking in hall way . We did have trouble using key to get in room but we're always able to get it open after a few minutes fiddling with it."

La Teresita Hotel

"All was excellent, delightful beds, a delicious shower, extensive breakfast and all the staff were very nice and friendly. The garden was beautiful and there was even a beautiful swimming pool. The room and the hotel were very clean. The room was quiet, the hotel was walking distance from the centre and other exit facilities."

"We stayed at La Candela over 12 years ago, and had no hesitation in rebooking for a longer stay this time. It’s located just 4 or 5 blocks away from Plaza 9 de Julio, this charming town’s main square. This is a small hotel with not many rooms and this time we traded up to a junior suite (which is well-worth the small extra expense). Our room was spacious, overlooking Pueyrredón, with a king-size double, a sink in the room (useful), with shower/loo/bidet in separate room. Plentiful hot water (though water tended to leak over the bathroom floor!). Reasonable clothes storage space. The safe was an old-fashioned box with a key and although spacious, not big enough for a laptop. Fridge in the room too. Being Brits, we appreciated the electric kettle, plus cups and tea bags (though why the cups had no handles was a bit weird). Being such a small hotel, don’t expect the lavish breakfast spreads you get in the larger hotels. It’s a more restricted choice here which was OK but you can order eggs cooked however you like. Stranglely, the breakfast tables were laid with the bare minimum of cutlery and crockery, with no spares obviously available if, for example, you needed an extra spoon or plate. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. If we were to return to Salta again, we’d look nowhere else – we’d stay at La Candela."

"We stayed one night, left to go on a 2 day tour then returned for two nights. Our first bedroom faced the street and was a bit noisy. The second bedroom faced the back of the hotel and was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location for walking into town and Salta is a lovely place to explore. There is an unheated pool on the top floor. It probably warms up in summer. We were there in November and it was quite cold- okay once you were in. Staff service was excellent. The only reason for four stars and not five was that the breakfast was more limited than in other similar hotels. You can order eggs and they are delicious freshly cooked. However the fruit salad was mainly apples. Perhaps it is difficult to get melon and pineapple at this time of year but our other hotels all had them. Apart from the breakfast I loved the hotel and would stay here again when I visit Salta."

"Basically we stayed at the hotel for sleeping after the day excursions for 3 nights. However, when we needed services, the staff were there to provide them promptly and happily. Natalia, the front staff was amazing and always helpful with great smiles."
