"Prachtig historisch pand midden in Rye. Gezellig hotel met heel vriendelijk personeel. Super-comfortabele bedden met mooi beddengoed. Ook geschikt om ' s avonds wat te drinken of te eten. Prima ontbijt, eiergerechten worden à la carte bereid.Enig minpuntje: daarnaast alleen toast/marmelade en yoghurt, muesli. Geen hartig broodbeleg als vleeswaren en kaas."

"De kamer was oud, pal naast de weg, de ramen waren slecht geluiddicht en tochtig, het toilet was erg basic en de afzuigventilator maakte meer lawaai dan een motorfiets. Er was zo weinig warm water dat ik niet heb gedoucht om te voorkomen dat ik verkouden zou worden. Maar eerlijk is eerlijk, het hotel lag vrij dicht bij het stadje, de Britse dames waren erg vriendelijk en het restaurant dat ze aanbevolen (The Standard) was goed. Hoewel het ontbijt geen buffet was, was het eten van de menukaart prima en voldoende om je vol te krijgen."

"Beds were really uncomfortable. Very hard mattress. Big cobwebs in bedroom area. Furnishings very worn. Poor pressure for shower and basin. Breakfast was great and staff friendly."

"Het was al een tijd geleden dat we in dit hotel geweest waren.  We hadden altijd zeer goede ervaringen in dit hotel.  Deze keer zijn we behoorlijk geschrokken van de slechte staat van onderhoud waarin het hotel verkeerd. Op de kamer bleek de lamp op het nachtkastje en de radio niet te werken omdat er geen stroom op het stopcontact bleek te staan. De gordijnen waren vuil en hingen gedeeltelijk los. Het toilet spoelde zeer moeizaam door en de afvoer van het bad bleek verstopt te zitten. Kortom wij zullen hier niet meer terugkomen."

"We stayed here for two nights for a little getaway to Rye and had a fantastic time. We stayed in one of the dog friendly cottage rooms (number 5) which was decorated beautifully and had a very comfortable bed. Plenty of on site parking and breakfast included made this hotel a complete steal during their January and February winter getaway offer of 30% off! We had dinner in Rye on the first night of our stay but called in to the pub on the way back to the room where we enjoyed a tipple by one of the two cosy fires and a trio of desserts which was divine. The second night we joined the monthly pub quiz which also includes a curry for £10, we came last but had a lot of fun enjoying the friendly & relaxing atmosphere created by all the staff there and the locals too. Unlike some places that use the term dog friendly when they just tolerate dogs all the staff here clearly adore dogs and made us and our little pup feel so welcome, especially Amy who is such a credit to the hotel. A special mention also to Rosie who served us our breakfast on our second morning, excellent service! 5 stars from Pippin & co and we will definitely stay again on our next trip to Rye."

"Het personeel was erg mooi. Locatie was perfect veel te doen als je een auto hebt Daniel de manager was mooi aanbevolen om mooie stranden te bezoeken . We kwamen voor een weekend van ontspanning en we eindigden met het gevoel van ontspanning. Dus bedankt voor het mooie personeel."
