"We stayed in a villa with a stunning view of the mountains, truly a beautiful and peaceful location. The villa itself was well-designed and had a lot of charm, making it a memorable place to relax with friends.
However, from a service perspective, there were several small inconveniences that added up. You can't reach the villa directly by taxi, which made arrival and departure a bit complicated. There’s no on-site restaurant, and while food delivery is possible, you can’t have it brought directly to the villa, which is not ideal.
Inside the villa, we were a group of six, but found only a few pairs of slippers and not enough tea, basic amenities that should match the number of guests booked.
These oversights suggest a need for more attention to detail in guest preparation. Overall, a beautiful place that could become exceptional with a few service improvements, especially with the high level of competition around."

"民宿在仙譚村，在附近的民宿裏算是比較大的，庭院裝修的挺好，有泳池，鞦韆，小主人還送了我自己種的番茄，房間面積蠻大，裝修不叫簡單，喜歡他家陽台，可以看到泳池院景，可以曬衣服，阿姨做的飯的確很好吃，喜歡魚和蝦，特別適合好友不高興喝酒小聚，晚上可以步行去看螢火蟲，老闆娘這裏買門票多少有點折扣，記得問一下！距離田園和碧塢近但是太熱了我們沒去。晚上走到主路上有很多蛙叫聲，很舒服～退房還送了筍乾，有機會還去！"

"What a beautiful place to break away from the noise of everyday life!
The entire camp has such a calm, serene, almost zen-like atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and well thought out. The design and layout of the place are stunning. There’s bamboo growing everywhere, adding to the natural, tranquil vibe. The cabins themselves are pretty modern and clean.
The staff we interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful - even though there was a language barrier.
Whether we needed a ride somewhere around the camp (which was always available thanks to staff driving around regularly) or had a question, they were always happy to assist. Adding reception on WhatsApp made things even easier – they responded quickly to any requests we had.
The food was amazing. We especially loved the Chinese restaurant – every dish we tried was full of flavor.
There’s a communal pool and other fun activities like paddling, which unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy due to the weather. Still, it’s nice to know they’re available. There’s also a small animal park where one can see peacocks, goats, chickens and ducks. It’s also nice to just walk around the camp.
The views are just gorgeous, and the whole environment encourages you to relax and slow down. All in all, it’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and just enjoy some peace and the beauty of nature.
One small downside was that there was only one coffee machine available at breakfast, which led to a long line. We ended up buying coffee, which was a bit inconvenient—especially since we could’ve had coffee for free. 🤭
I highly recommended Elephant and Moon! Would love to visit again!"

"I spontaneously decided to visit Moganshan and blindly chose this B&B, which turned out to be surprisingly satisfying. The hostess was very welcoming and had prepared fruits, drinks, and bathrobes in advance. The room was spacious and clean, with meticulous attention to detail in its decor. The curtains were electric, and there was also a mini-fridge and a smart speaker (Xiaodu). I was pleasantly surprised that a B&B in the mountains could be so high-tech. The surroundings of the B&B are exceptionally quiet, making it perfect for guests traveling with seniors or children. The B&B features an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor bathtub, and it's also close to Yulinba (Fish Scale Dam), offering a one-stop solution for water fun. The B&B is located within a museum, allowing us to experience the visual impact and natural beauty of unique jade and stones without even leaving the premises. The children also got to make necklaces from raw stones they picked themselves while stream trekking. The breakfast was also very thoughtfully prepared and healthy. All in all, I highly recommend it!"

"Ik had hoge verwachtingen na het lezen van de recensies voordat ik hier kwam. Na aankomst was het precies zoals ik me had voorgesteld. Het huis was schoon en ruim met een groot bad, een slim toilet en koelkast, en zelfs een telefoon die niet bij gewone B&B's wordt aangeboden. De beheerder was erg attent om ons te vragen hoe laat we zouden aankomen en zette eerst de vloerverwarming in onze kamer aan. De hotpot in de avond was erg rijk en heerlijk. Na de hotpot namen we een korte rustpauze en kwamen we naar de warmwaterbronkamer. De warmwaterbron is verdeeld in een kleedkamer en een buitenwarmwaterbron. De kleedkamer is attent uitgerust met yukata en een toilet. De warmwaterbron is groter dan hij op de foto lijkt. De vier volwassenen en twee kinderen die deze keer kwamen, waren groot genoeg om samen te weken. Na het weken in de warmwaterbron speelden we een tijdje Weerwolf in de lobby van de bar. Toen we moe waren, gingen we terug naar de kamer om thee te drinken en films te kijken. Het ontbijt in de ochtend was ook erg rijk, een combinatie van Chinees en Westers eten. De Japanse kinderen waren erg tevreden. Ik kom de volgende keer weer"

"第一次給了個不是滿分的點評，其實是很可惜的，糾結之後還是這麼打分了是真心希望雲跡坡越來越好。民宿環境一流衞生也不錯，住了三晚，老闆娘直接給升級了有露台的視野更好的房型，也是滿滿的好感。不足之處一是設施有些陳舊，床品很乾凈但是有點破洞的床罩真該換換了，電視機屏幕也出現光斑影響效果了；二是早餐有一天衹有麪條，説是有兩個住客要求的，別的沒有準備，以為我們也知道，那麼基本不吃麪條的我能怎麼辦呢，衹能喝點湯吃個蛋對付一下了；三是我們已經告訴了管家不需要打掃房間，所以不要在我們沒要求時擅自進房間，結果一天下午休息時，突然聽到兩下敲門聲我們還沒反應過來就直接有人刷卡開門要進來了！出聲制止後得知是老闆娘母親在巡房，説是看到衞生間燈沒關。雖然她道歉了説不知道房間有人，但這也太無語了吧？客人哪怕不在房間留個燈沒關難道會有什麼影響或危險需要幫客人關燈嗎？何況專門提出了不經允許不要進房間，這點真是很敗了好感。就寫這麼多了，真是希望雲跡坡山居能揚長避短，提升改進，待我們下次來莫干山還能舊地重遊選擇住在更好的這裏。"

We had an amazing stay at this villa. The owners are by far the best part of the stay. They are so nice and friendly. The man drove us around town a few times and helped us prepare things for our bbq. He set everything up and cleaned it up. Whenever we offered to help he never allowed us. The room was immaculate when we arrived and everyday if we left the room no matter what time they would go up and clean it. We got fresh bedding and towels everyday which was not necessary but a very nice thought. Anything we needed we could just ask and they would help us. We did book this place over others based on they had a resturant but just be ware you need to have a minimum of 8 people in your party to use it. This was no problem for us though as we just ate in town down the road.
I would highly recommend this place for couples who want to sit and enjoy nature but also any families looking for a nice place to relax. They have an amazing garden and the pool was great too.
Honestly have no complaints! The games room was awesome too!

Laat de dagelijkse triviale zaken de passie en romantiek van het leven niet overstemmen. Maak een uitstapje tijdens het zomerweekend. Kwam weer naar Shangpo en het was zo goed als altijd! ! ! Omringd door bergen, vol groen, rustig en privé. Hier voelt u de service van een professioneel team. Elk detail wordt ruim voor het inchecken gecommuniceerd. Er zijn ook veel eetgelegenheden, waaronder eenvoudige maaltijden, westerse gerechten en Chinese gerechten foto's maken 😋. Ik kijk ernaar uit om in een ander seizoen terug te komen om de verschillende schoonheid van Shangpo te ervaren~🥰🌸🍷🍻

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted as we parked our car in front of the hotel. The level of service continued to be extremely warm and friendly to the point of departure when they checked the road for us to leave. The location rating is more subjective. It’s very convenient as a base to explore Moganshan and doesn’t have the access complications of staying up on top of the mountain or the hustle and bustle of being in the town which gets a lot of traffic congestion. We enjoyed the seclusion and having a car it was ideal. The room was cosy with a good AC, quality accessories and a reasonable view, all appropriate for a 4 star hotel. We really liked the living and lounging areas around the grounds, where you can relax and read in seclusion. The swimming pool was perfect. Breakfast was a set menu and acceptable. Overall we felt very comfortable and would gladly return. Big thanks to the staff who did everything to make our stay pleasurable.

擁有非常漂亮、古典的圖書館，和非常和善、幽默的老闆。圖書館藏書豐富，輕音樂伴隨耳邊，燈光温和。還有書法和漢服體驗，但可惜時間太趕沒有試一試。住的房間有地暖、空調，地面開起來非常舒適。寵物友好（可以接受帶貓咪）。 非常感謝，祝生意興隆，春日勝意！

Our stay at Naked Stables was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable for our whole family. We travelled as a family of six, including two elderly members and two kids, and the resort was perfect for all ages.
There were plenty of engaging activities to keep everyone happy — from fishing, pottery, and crafts to outdoor experiences. The kids especially loved the horse riding and grooming sessions, which were thoughtfully organised and very safe.
We stayed in a three-bedroom villa, which was luxurious, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Each bedroom having its own bathtub was such a treat. The villa was beautifully decorated, and we were deeply touched by the thoughtful surprise of decorations and cakes arranged for our son’s birthday — a gesture that made our stay extra special.
Getting around the resort was effortless, as the buggy service promptly picked us up from the villa whenever we needed. We also loved having a lovely hiking trail right outside our villa, perfect for a peaceful morning.
Breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and the noodle station was a definite highlight for us. A special mention goes to Chuan Chuan the resident dog— friendly, gentle, and absolutely adored by our kids.
Every detail reflected care and thoughtfulness, making our stay both relaxing and joyful. We left with beautiful memories and cannot wait to return to Naked Stables again. Highly recommended for families looking for comfort, nature, and meaningful experiences.

Ik schrijf dit ook op: Omdat ik al lang van Moganshan Kaiyuan Senbo had gehoord, wilde ik deze keer uitproberen hoe het plafond van een ouder-kindhotel in Jiangsu, Zhejiang en Shanghai eruitziet. Tijdens deze binnenlandse reis heb ik in veel hotels overnacht en Kaiyuan Senbo heeft wat betreft service en ouder-kindrelaties echt een hoger niveau bereikt.
Een pluim voor de receptie (zij wisten dat mijn kind zich niet lekker voelde en verhuisden ons naar het hoofdgebouw); een pluim voor de huishoudster Gege, die erg zorgzaam, behulpzaam en warm was tijdens ons verblijf van drie dagen en twee nachten, en erg hard en serieus werkte; een pluim voor het personeel in het restaurant en de amu*****tsfaciliteiten, wiens houding erg goed was; en ook voor Yiqi Travel Photography, het meisje dat de foto's selecteerde, zag dat mijn ogen ongemakkelijk waren en nam het initiatief om me medicijnen te geven... Zelfs de tante die de moeder- en babykamer schoonmaakt, is bijzonder goed voor kinderen.
Ook het ontwerp van het hotel is erg goed en de recreatieve routes, ouder-kindactiviteiten, catering, zelfbedieningswasserette, etc. zijn allemaal goed geregeld. De kinderen hebben drie dagen in Fantasy Island gespeeld en zijn meer dan tien keer met de skelter op pad geweest... Als het weer warmer wordt, kunnen ze vast meer plezier buiten beleven. Ik hoop hier in de toekomst met andere gezinnen naartoe te gaan en zal het aan andere vrienden in Hong Kong aanbevelen!

This is indeed a nice hotel with beautiful facilities, though there are things to improve , given the high price. Many comments mention that someone has added them on WeChat upon booking, communicating the details of the booking and reminding to make dinner reservations. Unfortunately , nobody has added me and I feel like we missed out many things because of that. For example, we didn’t know that every on-site activity is organized per certain hour , as we arrived around 3 pm we already missed most of them on that day. Also , because of the holiday, the famous castle Chinese restaurant was fully booked for dinner and the next day’s lunch so couldn’t appreciate it . We had to settle for a room service that had very limited options not to mention, was ridiculously overpriced . 300 yuan for three basic dishes like fried rice, stir-fried pork and pork ribs soup, small portions too. Pity. There was a buffet diner happening at another restaurant by the pool, but 460¥ per person seemed too expensive so we passed. Some other small things like broken locker in a changing room or plenty of leaves and trash from the trees in the pool that nobody bothered to clean - felt annoying, again, considering the price per night.
I’d still recommend this hotel for visiting at least once in your life. Service is mostly very good, breakfast more than decent, the heated outdoor pool is lots of fun even with the dry leaves floating on it. They have a game room, “activity village” with many things happening all day round ( watch the time though ) , the room I booked was nothing special but had everything we needed. It’s convenient to move around the territory on a “buggy” , they are very efficient. Only if you have a choice , maybe don’t come here on a national holiday so overall experience would be better.

Good for taking beautiful photos for the social media but rather poor user experience. Aesthetics of this place are good, some corners are really charming. Still it is the comfort that we value the most in a hotel as well as the quality service and unfortunately they are not at the same level of the aesthetics.
The room is huge but there is no sofa or chairs to sit and chat comfortably, just the two enormous heavy armchairs in the opposite corners of this long room. No mini bar/fridge, very poor lighting at the wash basin, impossible to do makeup. Zero privacy in the wc and shower since there are no actual doors there, just some short saloon style doors hanging in the middle, letting out the water from the shower and odors from the toilet. No hangers for the towels. No bathrobes provided which is strange for the hotel who’s main entertainment facility is the outdoor pool.
At the outdoor pool there are very few deck chairs and no umbrellas at all.
The communication was poor, mostly over wechat, since the staff speaks basically no English. We have asked twice, in advance, about the vegetarian option for breakfast and still they brought us meat in the breakfast set (only Chinese style food is available). Altogether the experience was rather disappointing. Glad to have booked just one night there.
As for the surroundings, there is no access to the bamboo forest behind the hotel or across the road. And beware of the aggressive unleashed dogs in the village across the road if you decide to go for a stroll near the hotel.

Tucked up a mountain, perfect if you don’t want to venture too far out. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating- cooking food for us when we arrived, ordering in drinks, arranging cars to head into town.
The rooms are a little rough around the edges - they could do with a thorough repaint perhaps, but they were clean enough.
Great communal area to socialise with friends and great food too

Good bed, with very comfortable mattress and bedding. Water pressure in the shower was excellent but not good for running a bath - might be due to the bath being upstairs in the bedroom?
The Chinese breakfast offered was a range of several dishes but too many for me - a single traveler. It was also handy to be able to order an evening meal - the sweet and sour pork was tasty. There are facilities available to make your own BBQ. I saw other guests using these
The location was exactly what I wanted - away from the hustle of towns - it was a 25-30 minutes DiDi ride to get to the Transport Centre to go up Mogan Mountain. My bedroom door opened a few feet from wooden steps taking me and my dog straight into a bamboo forest.
It was a chilled and relaxing stay.
One improvement - add a small fridge to the room.
