"Ragusa is as good as ever. I stayed at this hotel at the same time last year, and I returned to Ragusa this year to see the same view and the same hotel."

"If I could put more stars, I would. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. Our stay was comfortable, relaxing and Giovanni and Raffaella were perfect hosts and amazingly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from booking restaurants and recommending places to go to helping us with a hire car. The Palazzo was beautifully furnished and cool in the heat of the day, quiet and with a balcony view over the town a fine place to relax in the evening. It was very conveniently placed in the older part of the main town, with many local sights in easy walking distance. All of the rooms would be to an equally high standard, but we stayed in the King Room, which was bright and comfortable, with a spacious, well-appointed and clean bathroom down a short corridor - the best type of en-suite. The Palazzo has an impressive history and Raffaellla was rightly proud of her heritage, and we enjoyed hearing about it, and all the local information she spoke about. The breakfasts we were provided with were enormous and full of local cheeses and meats; not only that but Raffaella's delicious home baking, a new treat every day. There were plenty of local restaurants nearby and we enjoyed two great evening meals during our stay. Ragusa Ibla is only a short walk away, but be warned, the twenty-thirty minutes it takes is down hundreds of steps and then up some more steps or steep roads. It's well worth it, as there are numerous spectacular views and you will pass lots of interesting buildings. But failing that, the local shuttle bus or a taxi can take some of the effort out of the trip. I would not hesitate to stay here again. To travel in this part of Sicily the bus service was reliable, on-time and tickets easy to buy on-line and download on your mobile to show to the driver. If you hire a car, a good sat-nav is worth taking as many Ragusa town roads are very narrow (indeed!) and so one-way only... getting to and from your preferred location may require some circular trips."

"The property is located right in the historic center. It's not accessible by car, but a 10-minute walk. The Duomo is a 5-minute walk from the property. The property is clean. There are breakfast bars nearby."

"The locanda is located in a typical tiny street of Ragusa Ibla. We called the hotel as we entered Ibla and they immediately sent someone to meet us. They unloaded the luggage and parked the car. What I loved is the historical aspect of the place. Each room is different. We stayed in two gorgeous rooms with lovely views . The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable. The complimentary snacks and water were a nice touch. The staff could not do enough for us. Giuseppe at the concierge desk was very helpful and spoke perfect English. We were transported in time at this gorgeous little gem and the city of Ibla"

"Ik heb onlangs een prachtig, ontspannen en lang verblijf genoten in Il Baiocco. De eigenaar, Rita, is buiten het prachtige – gewoon ongelooflijk warm en vriendelijk. Ze zorgde altijd dat ik wist dat ze op elk moment voor mij beschikbaar was om welke reden dan ook en dat mijn welzijn haar topprioriteit was. Ik heb als een niet-Italiaanse, alleenstaande, eerste reis naar Ragusa, die zorg op dit niveau zeer buitengewoon en zeer gewaardeerd. Mijn kamer was uitzonderlijk schoon en ruime, zeer goed uitgerust, en had een van de comfortabelste bedden die ik in mijn vier weken in het buitenland had ontmoet. De locatie, en de atmosfeer binnen en buiten, waren geweldig. Een ander plus: Rita's smaakvolle ontbijt omvatte huisgemaakte voedingsmiddelen, en vers (hard-cooled) eieren, de corteseness van haar kip! Ik adviseer dit charmante hotel van harte."
