"Een eersteklas ervaring bevindt zich over het zuiden van het meer van Titicaca. Het uitzicht van het hotel is aantrekkelijk. Ik heb zowel nachten gegeten in het hotel restaurant als de maaltijden waren zeer mooi gekookt. De kamers zijn ruime en comfortabel. Mijn kamer - op de derde verdieping - had een groot gedeelde balkon met uitstekend uitzicht op de stad en het meer. De meeste personeel spreken Engels en zijn vriendelijk. Lorenz en Melanie zijn prachtige wachters van het restaurant en Cinthya is uitstekende op receptie. Het enige probleem is dat het hotel een beetje isoleerd van de stad Puno, maar dat zou een goede zaak kunnen zijn voor een rustige nacht."

"Het Kaaro hotel ligt in de buurt van het centrum. Het is een beetje ouderwets uitziend hotel met veel hout. Badkamer is keurig. Gevaarlijk vind ik de vloer, mooi marmer, maar spiegelglad als je wat ouder bent kan je raar vallen.. De kamer is netjes maar met een erg oude vloerbedekking. Er zijn voldoende handdoeken. Er is een tv er is gratis internet. Bedden liggen goed. Er zijn alleen geen glazen of iets dergelijks als je iets wil drinken. Er is een vervelend ding, ik zit in de buurt van de trap daar zit verlichting en die schijnt precies door een ruit boven de deur vervelend als om halfvijf het licht al aangaat en naar binnen schijnt men zou dat glas moeten afdekken. Ontbijt is keurig verzorgd."

"The night staying with Jesus and Mari was more than I expected. The room and the bathroom are literally brand new, very clean, comfortable and relaxing. I slept well and warm at night. They're expanding their island, so it makes my stay more unique by witnessing the process. A real experience! I spent a lot of time just taking a sunbath, naps, and reading the book which they provided in the room - it was about Taquile island, very interesting and informative! Jesus also took me on a Uros tour. We even went collecting the **** Totora! He shared a lot of knowledge about their culture and lifestyle. Besides Uros, he also knows a lot about Taquile. Mari instead showed me her beautiful artwork, which we're able to bring back if we want 🧡 And the lunch she cooked, uuuuf, delicious and abundant! With a lot of veggies and fresh trucha. I couldn't even finish it. And I highly recommend the location, it's on the edge of the Uros community, so tourists don't see us, and we're not bothered. I enjoyed the whole view of the lake and the night scene of Puno by myself. Bring your camera if you love photography. The sunset and the Milky way are charming. Btw, Jesus will take us from the port Kalapajra to the island. From the center, the red minibus only costs 1 sole. He replied WhatsApp quite promptly. The check-in/checkout was also flexible. Really appreciate it. I would love to stay 2-3 more days on Kontiki if the time allows! Felt it's much worth than just a day tour."

"We waren hier tijdens een groeps tour met exotica. Onze kamer was schoon en ruime genoeg voor de drie van ons. Nabij het plein met verschillende keuzes van eten. Is het lawaai als andere mensen opmerkten, ja, maar dan nogmaals je bent niet hier om in je kamer te hangen je bent hier om het mooie land te zien. Als je op zoek bent naar een goede plek om te eten. Bianca Pizza (alleen stappen weg) was VERY good!!"

"It's not on par with the other Casa Andina I've been to in Peru; even the CASA ANDINA STANDARD MACHU PICCHU is better, especially regarding breakfast. We also didn't like the fact that the hotel manager had breakfast with her children/family in the breakfast room. On our last day at the hotel, there was only one employee (poor thing, super sweet) to take care of everything; it was an abuse..."

"Dit is een oud hotel dat de basis biedt. Ruime kamer maar er is slechts een kleine ruimteverwarming en het is 28 graden per nacht. De kamer is schoon, de bedden zijn vrij hard. Ontbijt is gemiddeld en er zijn genoeg keuzes voor de meeste mensen. Het beste ding is dat dit hotel is gelegen 1/2 blok van het plein van de stad waar alles is waar je kunt willen."

"We had a great time with Benito, Julia and Johnny. They are warm and friendly. They organized a local visit to the Uros Islands and a day trip to Taquile Island. We were lucky enough to be able to go fishing on a traditional boat with Benito and Jhony. Julia shared with us traditional clothing and culinary practices from the Uros Islands. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The views from our room were amazing since we were right on the lake. This is a comfortable and pleasant place. Don't expect luxury as it is on a floating lake. Communication with his eldest son via WhatsApp made it easier to access the shelter from the port. If you want a unique experience with a warm and lovely family, this is the place to stay."
