"I have just returned from six nights at the Solcalante Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful position and has lovely views from the terrace overlooking the island of Ischia. However, it is totally let down by the management team. This hotel is run by those who are very lacking in any people skills. They are non- communicative and unfriendly. They did not even give us eye contact during our whole visit. Fortunately their staff were kind and hard working. Breakfast staff and cleaners were very helpful. They kept the rooms and pool clean and tidy. Two events were held at the hotel during our stay (without any prior warning) and we were asked to leave the pool for a private function. We were restricted from the bar area or able to sit on the terrace. ( reserved notices were left on all of the chairs/loungers). These parties were large and very busy and noisy. We felt we had to go out even though we had planned a quiet evening and to have dinner at the hotel. There is only one restaurant in walking distance from hotel. ( 10mins walk). The events were on Saturday 14th ( 4pm-very late) and on the Tuesday ( 12-6). When I complained to one of the management team he was very rude and said “We had only booked a room at the hotel not a pool”. This was totally incorrect, we booked bed and breakfast with all the amenities the hotel has to offer. I am 68 years old and my husband and I have extensively travelled. We have never come across this bad attitude before. Also the hotel advertises having a sauna and massage services, there were no evidence of either. Also the solarium is a neglected empty roof space over the hotel rooms."

"We have enjoyed fully our stay. The hotel has a perfect location. It overlooks the marvellous harbour Coricella. Rooms are originally furnitured and splendid small and not so small balconies. Wifi is fast and reliable. Breakfast is abundant and a la carte. Recommended "

"The hotel's location is excellent, just steps from Chiaiolella beach, where there are also several nice restaurants. A bus stop is located below the hotel, providing access to the port and other interesting places on the island. The hotel is clean and quiet. The upstairs rooms are definitely better than the ground floor ones. Breakfast is good, although the savory options could be improved, as only cooked ham is available. Good value. Recommended."

"Ondanks onze late aankomst en het ontbijttijdstip was verstreken, zijn we welkom met een vriendelijkheid van andere tijden. We hebben een prachtig ontbijt aangeboden (absoluut niet nodig gezien de tijd!) alleen voor de smaak om ons de heerlijke zoetjes die bij de moeder van Johannes thuis bereid zijn, gepaard gaand met een prachtige koffie. Een bezoekkaart die direct het hart en de passie van de eigenaren in het gastvrijheidscentrum maakt. De ruime kamer, uitzonderlijk schoon en uitgerust met alle comfort die nodig zijn voor een volledige ontspanning. De plaats is letterlijk charmant. Op de ochtend in het groene neer, alleen door de vogels gecockold, is een regenererende ervaring. De echte bloem in het oog van de structuur is de fantastische limonade, een echte oas van vrede waar je de Ontbijt in de parfums en kleuren van de natuur. 5-sterren gastvrijheid Een speciale dank gaat naar Johannes en zijn vader. In de ochtend genoten we van een werkelijk uitstekend ontbijt. Maar we willen graag een speciale vermelding maken van Luca, die ons op een vriendelijke en vertrouwde manier verwelkomde toen we aankwamen, ons naar de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden leidde, de beste restaurants aanbeveelde en we zeer aangename gesprekken met hem wisselden waardoor we ons echt welkom voelden. . Strategische locatie , 2 minuten van het strand van de taal en zeer dicht bij de haven en het historische centrum , om niet te spreken van het landschap op het terras , een prachtige zon !! Snijdt u dicht genoeg bij alle goede plaatsen met alle rust van een plattelandsgebied. Ik was er met mijn dochters en we konden overal wandelen. Er zijn ook veel fietsverhuur en openbare vervoersmogelijkheden. Kamers waren spotloos, eenvoudig en perfect. Kan niet hebben gevraagd om een betere plek of gastvrijheid!!! Natuurlijk zal terug zijn!!"

"Het centrum en zeer comfortabele locatie om elk punt van het eiland te bereiken goed geserveerd door supermarkten ,voedsel van verschillende soorten. Het appartement was zeker zeer mooi, maar aan zichzelf achtergelaten.. zeer vuil , hoek van de onschuldige pot ... verschrikkelijke apparatuur en ontbreekt pallet en douchepoppen ...Geen toevoeging van douche en handdoeken.Schoonmaak kast misschien de laatste keer in 1944...terrazza prachtig.. De gasten van de receptie zijn erg mooi en beschikbaar, maar kunnen niet alles oversteken ... zelfs niet zeer schoon en moeras voorzien op de tweede verdieping ... gezien de kosten van de kamer 100e per nacht verwachtte ik meer aandacht"
