"I have NO idea how this place manages a score of 4.2 on Google reviews and 3.5 on Tripadvisor. This has all the appearance of an old Soviet style place. And all the warmth and welcome that goes with that. Breakfast was the crowning glory in an overall poor experience. Overseen by a gentleman who made no effort to assist guests, all instructions / information in Bulgarian only (except the numerous rules!), hot food all stone cold. Rooms very basic with ‘make yourself’ bedding. Doona (Duvet) covered in hair. It is, however, quite close to the city centre."

"This hotel is in the city center, next to a beautiful green park with huge trees. There are very nice restaurants, cafes and bars in the center. The rooms are generally spacious and comfortable. There was a plumbing problem in the toilet the first day we arrived. We didn't worry too much. But the next morning we told Alexander at the reception. He showed us alternative rooms and asked us to make a choice. We stayed in a very nice room. Breakfast was sufficient and nice. Cleaning was normal. We saw enough hospitality for our trip to Plovdiv, where we stayed only 2 days. I recommend the hotel."

"I can’t imagine staying anyplace better when visiting Plovdiv. We were a family of four with a car, and the apartment-style room we had was spotlessly clean and met all of our needs (and beyond). After contacting Bright House in advance, one of the two parking spaces was reserved for us, which was very convenient. The Kapana district with many bars and restaurants is right across the street, and most of the sights in Plovdiv are all a short walk away. Also, our room had a great balcony that overlooked the old town. A truly wonderful stay!"

"If I could give ten stars, I would. My mom and I stayed there for three weeks in two different rooms. The owner goes above and beyond to accommodate his guests. We had different Bulgarian breakfast every morning, which was delicious. The rooms were always extra clean. Service was excellent. My mom and I enjoyed our stay at this family hotel. "

"During my recent business trip to Bulgaria with my Italian partners, we discovered a great new hotel. The quality of the rooms was fantastic, with amenities such as a coffee machine, complimentary water bottles, flip-flops, and shoe-cleaning sponges. The parking was well-organized and innovative, with electronic recognition of license plates. You are asked by email the day before your arrival to send your plate information to the reception before arrival, and your car will be automatically recognized at the entry zone. The hotel also boasts fantastic restaurants and the breakfast buffet was one of the nicest I have experienced in Bulgaria. Overall, this hotel is one of the best new options for business travel in the country. The same ownership as the nearby Jagerhof craft brewery and restaurant is also great. Keep in mind the restaurant is super popular in Plovdiv and often full. They make some of the best beer in Bulgaria; Germany built the beer production facility everything with Bavarian equipment and technology. As the city of Plovdiv has been booming in recent years, hotels like this are so much-needed"
