"De kamers, net als het hele hotel, zijn schoon. Ze zijn ruim, hebben een balkon, zijn mooi ingericht en beschikken over een koffiezetapparaat. De badkamer is gerenoveerd, is prachtig en functioneel, en goed uitgerust met toiletartikelen. Het personeel is allemaal vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Mijn vrouw vierde haar verjaardag op de dag van aankomst en kreeg een fruitmand, een taart en zelfs een kaarsje – hartelijk dank!"

"Het hotel ligt heel mooi tussen de bomen. Wij zaten in een gerenoveerde kamer. Heel mooi en schoon. Je moet goed ter been zijn omdat er veel trappetjes zijn om ergens te komen. Helaas mochten we door werkzaamheden geen gebruik maken van het zwembad. Vandaar 4 sterren."

"Super schommelende en luidruchtige stapelbedden. Harde en oncomfortabele matras. Het waren 4 slapeloze nachten! Het zou onbeleefd werken. Op de vloer van de dameskleedkamers komt altijd veel water uit een van de toiletten. Zwakke en kapotte droger. Douche zonder ruimte om shampoo etc. te plaatsen. De hele ruimte is erg oncomfortabel en er is alleen wifi boven de receptie. GEEN KEUKEN!"

"Mooie appartement met uitzicht op de oceaan! Ga op de lanai zitten in de ochtend luisteren naar de golven! Gewoon mooi! We hebben maar één nacht gebleven en we hadden graag langer kunnen blijven! Ana was zo vriendelijk en gaf een video vooraf met duidelijke instructies over hoe we in de eenheid te komen, zoals we later aankwamen op de ochtend. Ze was zeer welkom en gaf me ook informatie over wat te zien in onze korte verblijf op het eiland. We zijn terug."

"This is a nice property. We had one of their villas which was a big size with a large living room/kitchen which was well stocked and nicely furnished. Two others in our party had one of their cabins and they weren't overly impressed as it was simply "functional". The bathroom needs a bit of maintenance and some hooks to hang things on but it is perfectly acceptable. You won't have to worry about plug sockets as I had 16 in my bedroom and I wasn't even in the master bedroom. What let's them down slightly is their breakfast offering which is very small and not that enjoyable. However, in the evening that same restaurant becomes Atmosfere and the food they offer is excellent. The property is not too far from town but you will need a car to get here."

"Really this is a 3.5* review. This is a good choice that has the potential to be great. The owners need to figure out what they want this place to be and plan accordingly. The area is really nice. It's out of the way without being too remote. There is an easy to use parking area just off the road. We had a second floor sea view room. The room itself was nice. There were however some flaws. There was little ventilation with the doors closed. Also, when it rained, water seemed to leak in through every door and window, making it impossible to feel dry. My number one complaint is that there was no fridge in the room. Pico makes some of the best white wines in the world, and to have a balcony with an ocean view makes sipping wine the most natural pastime. The fact that there's nowhere to chill wine is inexplicable. I can understand not wanting to promote a party atmosphere, but I consider access to a fridge to be a basic requirement. The breakfast was fine, but bordered on basic. Perhaps another fresh element would elevate it. There are some fine restaurants nearby and a good grocery store only five minutes drive away. Truthfully, I would stay here again, but I think the owners are missing a golden opportunity to create something sensational."

"My family and I stayed at Adegas do Porto for two nights this August, and were excited about the chance to stay at such a charming, authentic home in the heart of Pico. The house had the basics and necessities needed for our stay, and the staff were readily available by phone or email. A welcome basket of local bread, jam, coffee and tea was prepared and set out on the table for our arrival. This, however, was the extent of the positive experiences we had at Adegas do Porto. Soon after arriving, we began to notice bugs covering the walls of the bedrooms downstairs. One room, had over 10 spiders on the ceiling, and the other had multiple house centipedes running across the walls, into the floor, and even onto the bed. We also noticed that the en-suite bathroom toilet appeared to be leaking. When wiping up some of the water, we were shocked to find a lizard in the trash bin. The lizards were also in the walls of the kitchen, and a bat flew into the outside stone of the house while we were on the patio. The final issue before reaching out to the host was the fact that none of the outlets in the bedrooms were working... An email was sent to inform the host of these issues, to which the response was: "Thank you so much for your email and information! It was a pleasure to welcome you and we look forward to your next visit 😊 Have a nice evening." We do understand that this is an authentic lava home within the wild nature of the Azores, however, did not appreciate the toilet paper stuffed between the bottom edges of the wall and the floorboards, signaling that the host was well-aware of the issue prior to us reaching out. Suffice it to say, we did not sleep well during the two nights we spent here."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at My Bed In Pico. It was such a quaint and affordable hotel and so close to the Pier and downtown shops. The little restaurant was always busy and the food exceptional. Our host Debra was so kind and helpful with all our needs. Our room was spotless and we had everything we needed. "Zaterdagmiddag op de Terras van de Marine Club met vrienden beslissen ik om te blijven voor de nacht, maar waar slapen? Een van mijn vrienden zei me om het te behandelen en hier is een gele auto komt een uur later beneden ... kwam nacht dus in een aangename kamer met hoge plafonds als thuis ... een goede warm bad of ik sliep dan pyjama en in bed Voor een goede Franse film... wakker 6:30 voor de mooie zee. Ik was drie nachten van de drukte."
